I just got my free pair of jeans from MattbertThey fit. They are amazeballs! (really, they are so great) Fit pics coming. Happy to hear. Cant wait to see the fit pics. Ill try to get some up of mine when I have a minute. PRODUCTION CHANGE TO BACK POCKETS: I spoke to Roman about the pocket sizes. He agreed they should be increased in size. I brought some of my RRL jeans and we did a comparison of what my size 36 jeans pockets measured against a Lawless 38. Moving forward the pockets that were on a 36 will be used for anything below a 34 and anything above will have pockets sized like my RRL jeans. I believe it was a difference of .5 inches. You will all be happy with the update moving forward. Anything that wasnt already made will now have the updated larger back pockets

This was, honestly, my biggest critique of my Lawless pairs. The smaller pockets just appeared to look- well, feminine, in my opinion. You guys totally just scored future money from me by making this decision. Well done, good and faithful servants!

Hey lads - got me a pair of LD jeans today. Will be doing a review of course, but I need to leave the house for a while. First impressions: Love them. Wife's first statement: "Best jeans you own - they look like $600 jeans". - (me - LOL!) I'm confirming the actual denim used as they don't feel as heavy and crunchy as Gustins that were supposed to be the same denim. I want to make sure I know what's what before I lay it out here. They are really really nicely made. Color me impressed guys. The cut is better in the lower-legs, a pet peeve of mine with my Gustin Straight 38s. The lower rise I'm not sure about yet, which is why I am confirming with Dirty_Denim what the specs are on these babies. At this point, I'm in. Will be going forward with items I have been holding for now!

This is good to hear, the Gustin "paddle leg" on the straight is what makes me wary of my incoming chinos from them (ordered straight since the slim is a little too slim for me in my first pair of chinos)

We removed some of the old site options to keep things moving a bit easier and make it a lil less confusing for the everyday consumer. If you know of it then you can request it so yes it is available but you need to add it when checking out.

Ok I am wearing a pair of sz 38 Lawless slim straights in this photo (im a 36 waist) I think I will size up when choosing LD slim straights and go true size when going with straights. I will not be able to go slim tapered but I wouldnt any way. These jeans are a sample pair so they were not made for me but they fit pretty good I think. The rise is lower than I normally wear but the way they fit on the leg is what I always want but can never find. I can deal with the rise and the waist having to be larger to get the overall look the slim straight provides. The shirt is an early sample of the slim XL ( I would need a XXL in the Slim cut and would be a XL in the regular cut. I thought I would show you guys how perfect the length is on the arms and the front and back. Its a bit snug in the shoulders as its the slim XL shirt but I am certain when I get a chance to try the regular cut XL I will be really happy. As I said this is the XL slim which I would go XXL if I chose to buy the slim cut shirt The Jeans I am keeping but the shirt is too slim for my beefy body so in the future I will go XL regular cut shirt and if i am feeling a lil crazy I can go XXL slim

Dirty_Denim Those look really good. Front and back length are perfect. I'd have to disagree about the sleeves. I think the sleeves are a tad too long. They are supposed to hit right where your palm starts and those sleeves look they are hitting at your thumb joint.

I've always thought that the perfect sleeve hits the tip of the v formed between your thumb and forefinger?

A shirt should not hit before the palm starts, then it will be too short. IMHO. But yes it looks a bit long, but remember its raw so will shrink abit. I prefer half an inch into the backside "palm"

It's early xmas in stinkyville! My promo pair arrived today. 35 slim straight, 34 inseam. roman and Dirty_Denim, these are f*cking killer jeans. With the exception of the pocket sizing (which is being changed, great move IMO), I like everything about them, even the details I would have previously been concerned about (triple stitch on inside inseam and dual chainstitch at the hem). They appear to be a mid-weight Cone denim (Cone Peach ID?), and have the same color/texture/feel as my blue line2s. I'll post a better review later, but wanted to do a quick shout-out to express my joy. FTR, the sizing was spot on, and there were, upon first glance, absolutely no flaws/issues.

DD, the jeans looks great. About the shirt, I am unsure about the length of both the hem and sleeves and they look slightly long to me. I like my front to sit right in the middle between the two lines from the photo below. Yours is about 1 inch longer than how I would like my shirt. Another thing strange about the shirt is the shoulder width looks wider at the back than the front. I would prefer the back shoulder come in a little bit, so it doesn't give a "bodybuilder back/shoulder" vibe.

I've always thought that the perfect sleeve hits the tip of the v formed between your thumb and forefinger? I'm basing my view off of what my tailors have told me and Primer's Guide. They seem to suggest that there is no difference between dress shirts, casual shirts and work shirts. I know I prefer my shirt sleeve to hit right where my palm starts and my sport coat sleeve to hit right at my wrist bone. That leaves just the right amount of shirt cuff showing with my sport coats. Overcoats and jackets I like to have hit right at my first thumb joint.

But that shirt is going in slightly over the backpalm. Basically as I like it, maybe a little short for my taste but not far off.

I think the sleeve is pretty good as well as the shirts length. This shirt was an early make and is what you see when you come in to the shop . It was cut as one of the early samples which everything has been adjusted and finalized to what we see available now. We also have to think that a wash or soak will help bring some of these #'s in. i Mean my IH 12oz denim shirt was a one wash and it shrunk down literally 2 whole sizes so I would think having something a tad on the long would settle in better than a shirt that comes exactly perfect. For me I cant afford to start out with a perfect fitting shirt because my shoulders and chest force me to size up which brings larger measurements in other areas. I have to cater to my chest and shoulders or else I cant wear most brands

Ok so I have in my possesion a pair of Lawless Denim Cone Peach ID. Fit pics: A little snug in the waistband and a little loose in the underbutt, so giving them a hot soak now. I basically like the fit. Construction looks pretty clean to me: The only "faults" I can find is: Looks pretty good, but yes one seam is a little shaky. (notes about it further down) Nice and fine, but not perfectly aligned with top heartseem: (notes further down) The Jeans: Ok so I am actually a craftsman, most of you dont know it, but I make bows and arrows and alot of other stuff (some sewing too omg) so I know and understand craft and quality. My first impression was that this is a very good made pair of jeans. They breathe quality and finesse. They are not made on a band that pumps out cookiecutted products from a heartless person - you can see that heart is in this. They feel substantial and rigid and beautiful. I am actually a little suprised at the quality of the jeans. Mattbert did not make me understand just how good they are, but I also want to say that this is a personal opinion and many others might apreciate other brands quality in another way, i dunno, but to me they are alot better then almost every jeans I have. I dont want to name cheap or expensive brands, initial impression is extreme. On top of this, all 5 pockets are lined. It is a tripple stitch in legs and this just feels amazing. It also seems like the entire fabric is flawless. I cannot find one single hiccup in either warp or weft! The Mattbert: This is a person who is on this board that I dont know at all, but I love him. He got these jeans as samples and they didnt fit so he gave them away and I was lucky to be there at the right time. Thank you. The fit: I like the fit. Its almost perfect. I have to wear them some tho to see how they stretch before saying more. You can all see my wallet doesnt fit the pocket, but I kinda like the snuggness of the pocket and would like it just a little longer. Too wide and the wallet slants alot. The only other thing is to me the rise is slightly too high. I would like it a little bit shorter. The "notes": Ok so the croutch isnt aligned. This is something that you only see when turning the jeans over so its not a problem. I would also not like to have to pay 79 + 350 just to get it aligned. I actually dont care aslong as its not more then this. The shaky seem at the back is something I dont really like, but same thing here, I can take it at 79, and rather this then some part that holds the jeans together. I dont want LD to focus on this, but rather focus on the actual construction parts, this is just cosmetic. Conclusion: I am so happy that the fit is right, and I could not be more pumped about my 18oz on order. There was along time ago I felt this happy with a pair of jeans. I also mostly like japaneese denim so theese being cone is the first cone I have. They are crispy and bleed alot. The color is kinda beautiful.

Griffin glad you're enjoying them, way to go Mattbert! mine have that same shaky seam in the rear, but like you say it's not terrible. they're also my first pair of cone denim (though am expecting another pair from the KS campaign), but i haven't noticed much bleed or crocking from mine (a tiny bit on my boots)...unless you're talking about the amount of bleed you got during the soak.

Nice detailed review Griff. They look good on you and I too am looking forward to my 18oz ones.
It's impossible to get past that low price. Assuming the quality remains high, things should get even better once more materials come on stream.
I definitely like what I'm seeing about LD so far, but it's still early days.

Explanation on closeup. The closeup was just for fun. The thing im talking about is the lower to lines not aligning withe upper two, over the part thats the closeup. It actually looks worse irl. It shows on the outside of the jeans. But as a whole, its minor. I know myself how hard this area is to get right. You should all see the "pants" I made, they are like an inch away

Thanks guys, and @david im talking about me getting blue hands from handling the dry jeans. I also made a soak after that and also partly because of that, yes, and they dont bleed the water blue, but if I rub them in the water, i get blue hands. So its kinda sticky it seems.. I was going to wear them until dry but omg I will make the entire house blue! I wish I had some woolite and could clean them just a tiny bit. Ill report tomorrow if im a smurf or not.
