Griffin Thank you for the amazing review. I do not mean the good things you said but pointing out what ever you believe needed to be addressed. We have the ability to make changes and fixes fairly quick. I spoke to Roman about this and we believe the line goes over once the sewer made it over the folded fabric. We will address the issue so that the sewers are aware.

I will take another picture of it tomorrow from the outside. They are wet now so have to wait. I think one thing is that the doubleseams are not equally far apart.
The cross on the backyoke is actually a little off on the inside aswell but perfect on the outside and this is perfectly made imho as it is "impossible" to get all 4 perfect on so many doublefolded pieces. We see this on aerojackets aswell made from front quarter horsehide.
So better pics tomorrow but please be aware this is minor. The entire product is something to be proud of for sure!

I think the most important part is to pass the eye test. As long as people cannot really see any of the issues, I think it is all good. That is actually part of the beauty of handmade goods. I actually want to find some imperfection. Only machine made clothes can be 100% perfect and it is not what I am shooting for.

I like how we can gain the insights in to how they're created from a tailor's perspective, which helps us all understand how these variations occur. Also like how Lawless has the ability to respond immediately!

I'm wearing mine and I love them, sans one thing - and it's not a problem - it's the cut. I am not a humongous fan of low(er) rise jeans. I have an odd feeling like I'm a plumber showing ass crack when I bend over, but that I'll leave out. Will take some pics when I can, but I just told DD and Roman that the jeans are the first pair I've bought since going Gustin that I don't want to run and soak/wash straight off. They are soft, well made, and most excellent. When I order more I am going with a taller rise and will mix up the hardware. The fly is perfect, and the buttons align and work with ease. Size 38 and they are a proper 38 - no monkey business with bending, stretching, etc - perfect first try. THAT is what I want. As to the shirt above - being a guy that's 6'-4", I am OCD and paranoid about clothing that it too short, small, etc. I love seeing those sleeves come down some on the wrists. Considering I roll most of the time, I'm especially good with that look (and feel). If these are indeed the 18oz stuff I wanted, then they are totally different feeling from the Gustin's, and those are my favorite pair I own. But given how long it took me to get cozy in them, I'm sorta blown away at the LD's and how nice they feel immediately. I'm still getting confirmation from DD that the denim is in fact the 18oz, so let's see how that plays out. I'm excited fellas. I really dog these jeans, even with the lower rise. More to come... PS - the pocket bags are perfect! Size, depth and material. I got big hands too!

I think that is what really separates us from most brands... we have complete control. Yes we can have mistakes but we are in control of those mistakes. We make em we fix em. Can we be better at QC on every item shipped...Yes! I have a really deep understanding of how everything works and I am completely confident we have the ability to improve on our production timing and quality.

Dirty_Denim Those look really good. Front and back length are perfect. I'd have to disagree about the sleeves. I think the sleeves are a tad too long. They are supposed to hit right where your palm starts and those sleeves look they are hitting at your thumb joint. Here is the same shirt with the cuffs buttoned. I had them unbuttoned because thats how I normally wear my denim shirts. This denim is pretty rigid (cone double id selvedge) Again this shirt is not sized for me in that it is the slim fit from before kickstarter. I tried this on because it was there to do it. I didnt mean to scare anyone bt showing a shirt that was not meant for me. It looks like i caused many of you to panic and begin asking to change ur orders lol. Trust me the shirts are better than this early SAMPLE I just wanted to show u guys a fat guy shouldnt wear slim shirts that all lol

Old26 Thank you! The team is very happy to read these reviews. Thank you again for taking the time to share. I'm going to clear the closet next week and give a nice load to Good Will for the holidays. That is so I can put in a bunch of new LD (and others too as I try them) gear. The crazy part is that I've been paying more for less when compared to this stuff. Have to start building the shirts now. That's really what I look forward to.

bigblack I would take the XXL in a slim and be fine with that. To give u an idea of my size I am just about 6ft and 235lbs. If you are anything close to me then u are more than fine. No worries if our charts match ur needs i would feel confident. As for fat guys not wearing slim, I mean this fat guy who hasnt got over that he is suddenly fat. I gained 40lbs is a short amount of time so im kinda in denial

Ok so I have in my possesion a pair of Lawless Denim Cone Peach ID. [...]The Jeans: Ok so I am actually a craftsman, most of you dont know it, but I make bows and arrows and alot of other stuff (some sewing too omg) so I know and understand craft and quality. My first impression was that this is a very good made pair of jeans. They breathe quality and finesse. They are not made on a band that pumps out cookiecutted products from a heartless person - you can see that heart is in this. They feel substantial and rigid and beautiful. I am actually a little suprised at the quality of the jeans. Mattbert did not make me understand just how good they are, but I also want to say that this is a personal opinion and many others might apreciate other brands quality in another way, i dunno, but to me they are alot better then almost every jeans I have. I dont want to name cheap or expensive brands, initial impression is extreme. On top of this, all 5 pockets are lined. It is a tripple stitch in legs and this just feels amazing. It also seems like the entire fabric is flawless. I cannot find one single hiccup in either warp or weft! The Mattbert: This is a person who is on this board that I dont know at all, but I love him. He got these jeans as samples and they didnt fit so he gave them away and I was lucky to be there at the right time. Thank you. [...]Conclusion: I am so happy that the fit is right, and I could not be more pumped about my 18oz on order. There was along time ago I felt this happy with a pair of jeans. I also mostly like japaneese denim so theese being cone is the first cone I have. They are crispy and bleed alot. The color is kinda beautiful. Hey, Griff. I'm really happy that the jeans arrived safely and that you're pleased with them so far. Tell the sword lady I miss her. Sorry if I undersold them a bit! You've definitely got a better eye for detail and more knowledge of craft and construction than I do. This is actually pretty cool to have someone else's thoughts on not just the same denim from the same brand, but literally the exact same pair of jeans. I agree with your comment (and Old26's) about the pocket lining and the nice size of the pocket bags in front. They're terrific. Fit looks excellent on you. I think I probably could have hung onto them and stretched them out to the point where they were a good "date night" pair, but I'm much happier that they've found their way to someone for whom they're already a great fit. Fact is, I have plenty of indigo already (and more on the way) so I was going to have to force myself to reach for these over some of my others that are already the way I want them to be. Like you, I'm pretty damn excited about the 18.5-oz Kurokis I ordered. Guessing those will show up sometime around the end of the year, and I can't wait to try some legit HEAVY denim. Even though the Slim Straight jeans that ended up with you weren't the right fit for me, I'm really glad Lawless sent me those as the sample because now I know the Straight Leg is the way to go. That information was extremely valuable to my wallet and my peace of mind. So thanks again, roman and co., for hooking a few of us up with those trial pairs on the house. I imagine Lawless is benefiting from the focus group style feedback and positive reviews, but that's not to say something like this can't be both a shrewd guerilla marketing move and a genuinely nice gesture. Well done.

It's been ages since I have reviewed anything at my beeranddenim.wordpress.com. Dealing with an ill family member. However, I might just have to order a pair of jeans or the wool shirt and see how the LD product. I'll be keeping an eye out here.

I started working on a food truck and gain 50 lbs in a short amount of time. If my shirt hasn't been made yet, I may ask to have it in a slim fit now.

The shirt is an early sample of the slim XL ( I would need a XXL in the Slim cut and would be a XL in the regular cut. I thought I would show you guys how perfect the length is on the arms and the front and back. Its a bit snug in the shoulders as its the slim XL shirt but I am certain when I get a chance to try the regular cut XL I will be really happy. As I said this is the XL slim which I would go XXL if I chose to buy the slim cut shirt I think that shirt looks really nice on you. If the chest feels a little snug, then certainly move to the regular cut. But would that make the waist larger? (don't have the size chart in front of me.) I don't think you want to go any bigger in the mid section. But thanks for posting the pics. I've been on the fence about ordering a work shirt, but I definitely am going to now! I just need to wait until after Christmas.

Hi guys I really appreciate the reviews and the honestly. We working hard to make these a great jean not just a good jean for $79.00. Roman. These are a great jean regardless of price. I really feel I get so much more then just jeans here. Remember also i pay $150 for your jeans with shipping and VAT and fees. I will take new photos of the areas I have questions about so there is no doubt what I mean, but even if this is what i get from now on, I would still continue to buy since they are awesome. I will offcourse have to use them for a while to really see how they hold up construction wise, but am pleased about them, and very shocked that they are this good. I mean, off-course I knew you could make jeans, but they really come together as an item, not just pieces sewn together like sometimes i feel others jeans are.
