You have to love LD-humour: "if you object, give us a call to request a refund ..." I think Roman beats Monty Python's Flying Circus .....

What does this say about shirts? I just read that custom options won't be fulfilled for jeans. Do you take it to mean that all shirts are custom and therefore won't be made?

Its obvious why they are taking the custom options away. The factories in L.A wont do custom anything so its funny he said "HIS" sewers LOL. I actually think its good he went with a factory that has management in place to make decisions for him. I also think having a factory that tells you a specific # as to what it actually cost to make an item helps R man out. He had no idea how to figure that stuff out or he just thought of money as Monopoly money. SMart move for sure

I was hoping you read something that I had missed DigDug I've been traveling all day and can't really see straight lol I've got 1 shirt outstanding with them, if they offer me standard stitching and copper buttons, I'll be good with that (Olive Drab dyed Cone denim, that will look good). Let's see when if he gets to shirting options, if we see another IG post saying you get your shirt in 1 style only (come on Oregon style! I don't any of that Western stuff that Roman gushed over. I'm not a big turquoise jewelry guy either...).

To his credit, he thought to use the term ready to wear. If it arrives, it's technically ready to wear. Whether it fits or comes with buttons is another issue.

perhaps the next step will be the switch to SIY (sew-it-yourself) ...
you'll receive a kit consisting of fabrics (cut or not, is still under consideration), hardware, some standard thread and a foto of one of our sewing machines (multiple orders qualify for a foto of a Singer) ... this way you'll have your personally customized garments ...

I'd actually really like this option for Gustin shirts.

Hey Kayla orion23, I'm glad to see you got out of there. You were always very nice on the phone and the only reason I didn't cause a raucous when I went to the store in person. I'm the guy who drove up from Tucson and my shirt had mysteriously gone missing (it turned out the Manny had taken it home or something). In any case, for those asking, I received a shirt (XL montana) about 1 month ago. So some shirts have gone out. The shirt really is nice (you can see it here: www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=6619.msg414645#msg414645), it's a bummer that LD&CO couldn't figure it out. Kayla, any idea why I was able to get my shirt since they were apparently only focusing on pants? I'm feeling pretty lucky now.

This is an interesting read having not been on the forum for a while. I posted on the RTW thread, that one half of my order (Black jeans) that was cancelled six months ago appeared on my doorstep two weeks ago. Seems however, that pay pal or my credit card were not charged. I made several email and t/c calls asking for a return label because i did not want to keep anything for free...looks like ill never get a response....now i have to weigh the ethical implications for keeping these..
we all knew that this ship was probably sinking but are they truly closed?

You tried to send them back and they didn't respond. I'd say you are ethically cleared to keep them with a clear conscience.

Received one of my jeans today, 18.5oz in slim straight, surprised that I could actually squeeze them on my fat ass
Didn't get the pockets i requested nor the patch, but whatever. Got some leg twist on the left leg but no biggie, some of the finishing is sloppy. For the price I paid its a good deal strictly on price, but not the wait time.
I wonder when I'll get my other pair of jeans...

In store orders always got bumped into production as soon as you left from your fitting. Plus up until Jan. They were cutting orders as they came in. Whether they were shirts, jackets, vests, or jeans.

I thought the shirts would have been a needed niche in the American Made market that LD could have done good at.

You are right...there are very few US companies making US designed, US made shirting in vintage US styles. Workwear, western wear, hell...even classic US dress shirts. There's not much out there. I have ideas for designs. Wish I had the ability to start a company. Meanwhile, Dirty_Denim can take over the heritage US denim market freshly-abandoned by Lawless.

Yeah shirts and Type II jackets would have been pretty unique in this market. So I had been told my jacket was cut. This was about 8 weeks ago. Right around the 45 days to complete jeans announcement
Flat out lie? Or are there a bunch of cut, not-assembled tops?

I just think there was hope in his mind but he doesn't know how to figure realities out. He is an optimist based on 1 + 1 = 2 but purposely leaves out 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 because those numbers would hurt his fluffy reality. Leaving expenses off his calculations allows him to think things are good.
He really thinks like this

Shirts are difficult enough when you are running a tight ship and not accepting custom at prices lower than RTW brands. Shirts & jackets are a big reason why he fell behind

I can see why shirts are a bit harder, especially with custom. And with as Stupid pricing.
I'd like to see what Gustin is doing with Button downs done for WS. TS comes close but is missing a few details and they are made in Portugal (nothing against Portugal, I'd just like to see an American Made American Inspired WS). There are a few out there but are $200+. And Gustin, I just don't think it there thing, but they did ok,ish for $125

Roman was a gift for those who got something because I really think what I got was worth way more than what I paid. He screwed himself because i truly believe he had something special. If he had patience and the willingness to take things a bit slower, he could have blown Lawless through the roof.
What a shame

So what...we should try and get refunds for shirts and jacket asap because they will never be made?
