3rd Pair: 16.5 oz Cone Mills Slim Taper 36 x 33 So this pair was interesting... I'll let the images do the talking. Album3There's no freaking buttons or rivets on them! This is a hilariously pathetic product. I wasn't even mad when I opened them, I just laughed haha. Even if they were a complete pair of jeans they would not fit me.
HAHAHAHAHAHA

So I'm guessing I should just right off the $700+ he owes me for the work I did on the very first version of the new website. That totally sucks because I was hoping to use that to fund a new custom suit. Sorry bud. I have to admit I knew you were going to get the shaft about a month before I left. Around that time if u remember I contacted u to try to see what I could find for u and push what was yet to be cut in. I was well aware of many shitty things that affected you guys and many other customers . I just didnt want to believe my own eyes because that would mean I would be jobless and also screw up my own families livelihood. I stuck it out longer than i should have because i hoped and needed this to work out which lead to so many disagreements. I am sorry that I couldnt do more. I took that job to help clean up CS but also sell and promote the brand but instead I got paid less than anyone in the company. Everyone who worked there were sure i made this enormous amount of money but were shocked to find out I worked for the fun of it. I really love everything about what i was doing. SO easy as i could stay up till 4 am every night. I also had the most experience and was by far the most qualified but yet I was the only one who accepted less pay because i knew if i got what i am valued at, it would have hurt the day to day needs. Im not going to lie that ROman didnt appreciate my telling him it was ok to pay me such a low wage because he said it on many occasions that he appreciated it. After awhile I knew my LD wage would be the best i could get there and if i were to request what was promised when I finally did move there I would have hurt things more and put Roman in a bad spot. So that to got me to the realization I should leave. Many many reasons all led me to end my employment, some were ethics some were me knowing it was best for both of us. Shit i could make a list of a hundred things but all were nothing compared to my disappointment with what I saw. AGAIN I AM SORRY GUYS

This is a hilariously pathetic product. I wasn't even mad when I opened them, I just laughed haha. Even if they were a complete pair of jeans they would not fit me. Measurements: Waist: 36" Thigh: 11.5" Knee: 8.3" Cuff: 7.75" Inseam: 33" So apparently there is a 2" difference in the waist between a size 35 and 36. When I ordered a size 35, I was hoping it would be 35" in the waist. Oh well, I'm not out all that much money on these. Hopefully someone on here or reddit will be willing to buy the two complete pairs seeing as Lawless' customer service is now nonexistent. Who knows what the hell I'll do with the other pair haha.
They don't appear to have them, but if the button holes were there I'd probably be willing to take them off your hands. Those 35 slim tapers I can't swing, if they were slim straight, then they'd be right about my size.

Hearing Kahla is off the team is really disappointing. Kahla- you were the only customer service person I spoke with who made and sense or was even mildly understanding. Emily just repeated Roman quotes over and over even when they didn't have anything to do with my question, and when I wasn't satisfied, she'd get angry. She promised repeatedly to return a call or send an email and wouldn't- getting in touch with Kahla would fix all that. I wonder what the deal is with my RTW return that was supposed to be shipped out, after waiting weeks for a return label. Kahla was my one hope in that panning out. You've gotta realize that all these people were in the same boat, though, and most had no idea what they were signing up for, I imagine they simply needed work and we all know how good a talker we're dealing with. It sounds like threats of firing are/were common, so you can't really blame someone for trying to avoid getting fired. Looks like that didn't really make a difference in the end, though, since it sounds like PhoenixAZ is all chained up, I'm guessing without so much as a "we're gonna have to let you go".

Like a Ferrari without trim, door latches, locks, or handles. You wouldn't laugh at a Ferrari, would you? This is part of what they call the "shaved" line.

The fly actually has button holes, it's just the top that is missing an opening. But again, they have no buttons or rivets haha. I never really planned on making this review, but the complete lack of communication from them has kinda pissed me off. Also that latest facebook post mentioned "no one can say our product was of poor quality" and I believe my last pair has something to say about that. On the bright side, I guess I have some more unique Lawless jeans than that one guy who had the upside down patch!

Damn. @dirty_denim and orion23, so sorry you got sucked into this maelstrom without knowing the true nature of its chaos. That really sucks. Thank you for coming here and letting us all know what is/was going on, and trying to help. I understand and feel for anyone that has worked at Lawless. I moved my husband and son down to AZ from AK with so many broken promises. After Sal left, I was the only one left in the CS dept. Until 2 months ago when Emily (who was interning) came on board. She was a great help, and to her defense.. came in right as shit was really hitting the fan. She was also broken down repeatedly by R. Because she wasn't comfortable with what he was doing and would call him out on it. Another person who donated there time and energy to help the cause with out being paid. As for the jeans being sent out without hardware.. that is just sad and lazy! I know our shipper is only one person but it would be nice if L. Or R. Would help with quality control. David, I'm sorry but I don't know if there is any hope for your return. I was in charge of doing everything, and now that I'm gone and there is no way to get in contact with them, if you haven't received them I would consider a charge back.

Just want to say that even though I make fun of LD and Roman (and will continue, I paid for this ride dammit lol), my few hundred bucks that is likely lost pales in comparison to uprooting from NY or AK and landing in this mess. Holy batballs, orion23 and Dirty_Denim. Best of luck with your current endeavors and glad you're out.

orion23: I'm sorry I have to ask but do you know what happens to the 24oz Supima orders? kind of surprised that marc lewkowitz would have risked supima's name being so prominently used for this fiasco. then again, i'm not sure that it would have much long term impact on supima's overall business.

I was in charge of doing everything, and now that I'm gone and there is no way to get in contact with them, if you haven't received them I would consider a charge back. orion23 to be honest after about the 5 month mark i pretty much figured it was a 50/50 chance to get any of my remaining orders. heck, i still haven't received my pairs from the original kickstarter which is coming up on a year now. they were apparently shipped...but never received...and i have to assume those replacement pairs and jacket are all in the wind. glad you guys got out, though it's too bad there was so much personal upheaval to get there. at least you'll have some good stories to tell in the future.

They were quick to block anyone. The 24oz Supima orders as far as I know are still good to go. My understanding was that, that was an entirely different project and had business partners involved. Which is probably the only reason it's still up and going. As for the other orders, since I've seen totes upon totes of jeans going out the past few weeks... I would say there is hope. But if you have an order entirely of shirts I would request a charge back if you don't receive something by mid August.

Ah well, this newest development is sad, but hardly a surprise ....
Thanks to Kahla (+ warm welcome) & Sal for being open here ...
All of us still waiting for our order / refund or whatever: of course we may blame Mr. Ferrari for whatever, but at the end of the day, we'll also have to blame ourselves, as let's be frank, the main reason for ordering with LD was greed (at least those like me ordering at half price) ... it's certainly the price tag which made us go blind to all the risks involved, would the garments have been priced adequately, a lot of the orders would not have been placed (mine certainly not ....) ...

Nobody here is an attorney? At what point does RA's activity or lack of represent criminal activity? Individually some people are out small-claims but if there are approximately 3k unfinished pieces, doesn't that represent a class?
@dirty_denim did Pacific Blue Denim require payment up front or does he also owe suppliers?

attorney yes, but not practicing in US law ... If I'm not mistaken whiskeyriver is an attorney (in FL?)
I don't see much of any "criminal activity" though ... fraud/deception only if R. never had the intention to fulfill his part of the contract (which clearly does not seem the case, as orders are going out)
a civil action asking fulfillment of the contract or refund would perhaps be successful, however I doubt the pockets are deep enough to actually be worth executing such an action ....

Dirty_Denim - was orion23 your inside source to passing along the long list of open orders from this forum? That doesn't lend much confidence to seeing fulfillment if so. With both of you guys gone, I'm not seeing anyone worth visiting at the shop any more. Not that they'd have the gate unlocked to let anyone stop by. Although, I should stop by to see my buddies Roman and Laura just to hear the spin they put on us "haters, man" (Roman quote). I thoroughly enjoy knowing more than I let on when I visit the shop. beeranddenim makes a valid point. While some of us are collectively out an amount worthy of a small claim, the impact of a larger group would probably generate more results. That list of unfulfilled orders is probably a good starting point for a discussion with a lawyer, if everyone is not able to charge back at this point.
