One of the things I constantly said was that he was kicking the can further down the road with each sale to bring in funds. Well now the end is looking clear and all that losing money and running sales has now caught up to him . When he stopped allowing sales on the site I knew right there what was going to happen

So at this point there's basically no way to get order updates, and we just hope that it all works out? I just realized my order was "fulfilled" a month ago, and I never saw a thing, so now I'm concerned I might just get nothing.

P.S. More than the $ I'm disappointed I may miss out on what liked like a great Type II jacket and Pendleton shirt. Yes I don't like to be ripped off which is how I feel. However I'm not in the hole as much as I suspect some other folks here are. I am sorry for all of this. When I left I thought about telling everyone I saw this coming but I also didnt want to be the whistle blower not only for my own reasons but also because I really believe LD had something special MINUS the R MAN. I had hoped he would get a spark under his ass to allow someone to come in and take over the books. When he started selling the 400 oz Indigo Indigo jeans from Timbucktoo mines , I thought NO WAY did he pull that off and how this has to be one of his ploys to bring in money. I also thought just maybe he got someone to come in and fund his plan. If he allowed someone to buy in then yes he could have done it but his ego likely kept him from letting anyone in. 100% of nothing is still nothing. He passed up many an offer to bail him out and denied it because it meant he wouldnt be full owner and he knew that person would look at the books and think "THIS GUY IS KIDDING ME RIGHT" SO instead he rather lose it all then to let someone see his books. STUBBORN, VAIN, COCKY AND WORSE EGO. He couldnt admit when he needed help and that will be the downfall of LD. Shame because like I said Roman created a potential game changing brand that def wasnt the best but hit the market at the right time and with a great idea. So SO sad

When he stopped allowing sales on the site I knew right there what was going to happen IIRC, you helped to spur that optimism on by saying LD was going to make those discounts the norm. Also, that the gross held by Gustin or the likes per item was very high, and LD was going to make their $40 or $50 (don't remember which) customized merch the norm.

Once I saw that I began pounding him and then shortly after I left. He kept those things very close to him. It got so bad as he stated "I have CANCERS around me" I also have already stated how I was there to push product but after awhile I didnt want to keep spinning and doing all of his dirty work.

I should also say to tell Roman we are losing money was to tell Roman u are not with him . After awhile I figured Id better get out of here . There are many more reasons for my departure so thats just 1 of em. He told me a denim cost $4 a yard but i would find out it cost $12. So when it was $4 or $12 after using 3yards for an item I of course would base things on that. Now when i found out it was $12 or $36 thats where I started trying to work things out with him. I am sure u remeber when rices would spike. I would get him to bump em to a realistic # and then days later he would say "U cost us money, we arent selling" and then drop the price again. I would then start up again when i saw money was tight so prices would go up and then he would secretely drop em again. This would start a argument of sorts that would have him give me a cold shoulder for a few days because i would tell him everything he did not want to hear

I do hope Roman honors all refunds on cancelled orders or he is anything but "decent". The more I looked into him the more I feel like like he's just another self imagined "visionary" who doesn't follow through on anything he starts business wise. It's a trait that has become incredibly common in the Internet era, everybody wants to be a visionary genius but most don't have the chops. It's a shit load of work starting a company, I'm currently flailing (not failing lol) at it myself. I might succeed or fail but I'm not going to take anyone's money and vanish. That's just basic theivery. No bad feelings to Dirty_Denim or orion23 at all btw. Glad you're both here and participating and thanks for sharing info. You guys took jobs at what looked to be an exciting startup and it ended up being anything but. Been there myself, many have. Also, trying to help in your own spare time with no reward is proof you all are good people. Thank you.

What is going to happen to it if Lawless goes under? If the machines are legit, it would be a shame to piece them out when the infrastructure is there in one space.

Wasn't this hinted at in his "Phoenix and Tucson factories will be closed" comment? I believe someone asked at the time whether or not the employees in Arizona knew what he was doing, or what their future was. The "custom orders are now coming out of LA" is probably meant to be that. You would think it'd be wise to keep customer service employees around even if you have them work remote or whatever, and have one of them at least keep social media together or something... I think we all see what Romans style is, though, and thinking through these scenarios is obviously not it. I'm still optimistic, but definitely not confident. I guess the only way to know for sure is if anyone has eyes on the new facility, or if we all suddenly receive this (turning out to be quite extensive) list of orders.

When he redid the website, everyone's order said they were fulfilled even though they were not. Most orders also said the payment was pending, which was also not the case. I do know, like Sal has said that orders are continuing to go out.around 300 a week has been the average for the last month. But that is ITEMS not actual WHOLE orders. That's something to keep in mind.

Hell, I'd take one in lieu of my outstanding orders, though I don't imagine they'd ever do such a thing.

As of 3 weeks ago, about 2300 ITEMS had been cut. But in total I believe the custom orders got up to around the low 3,000's before the big CROIG Kevlar and RTW sale happened. Some of those items are shirts and jackets. But when I left, they were focused on only jeans at the time. Romans plan was to get through the jeans and then start with the tops. I wish I still had access to my files. I literally spent a whole week digitalized the cut book. Item by item, to see what all was left.

Damn. @dirty_denim and orion23, so sorry you got sucked into this maelstrom without knowing the true nature of its chaos. That really sucks. Thank you for coming here and letting us all know what is/was going on, and trying to help. It sucks because my wife and daughter were affected as were Khala's. Ill give u guys a for instance. The plan was to move my family to AZ which was fine. After some months he started talking about moving to LA right after my wife handed her resignation in to the NYC Dept of Ed. Once u do that u are pretty much out. She then got offers from schools in PHX. Once that happened R man started saying we are gonna move everything to LA. I got frustrated because i just set everything up for AZ and now I would have to tell my wife "SCRATCH THAT" Now if u guys only knew how much I was making you would understand why a move to LA would have all but put us on the street with the rents there. My salary was border line embarrassing but I accepted it because i knew it would help ROman out with a promise to pay me more once i got to AZ and we hit a few objectives. I know that sounds like BS but I really meant it. Anyway we went to LA while I was secretly thinking what did I get my family in to. SO we arrive in LA and within the 1st day we meet with some building owners who strictly lease to clothing factories. We saw a few places which were within our budget but Roman suddenly says " We should just stay in AZ" right after he and all of us said how great we liked the spot we just saw. I thought ok this is good because now I can call my wife to say we are not going to LA so not to worry. Thats not the only thing i thought that day. I also thought this guy really has no clue what he is doing nor is he capable of making a good decision and he definitely doesn't think how anyone else would feel. This day I knew I was going to leave. I actually had already began to think i should leave months before for many other Roman antics and ethics reasons but this lit a spark under my butt.

So I'm guessing I should just right off the $700+ he owes me for the work I did on the very first version of the new website. That totally sucks because I was hoping to use that to fund a new custom suit.

Well in the midst of the info Sal and Khala just dropped on us, here is a denim review! Well a quick one at least. 1st Pair: 14 oz Candiani Indigo x Indigo Slim Taper Size 35 x 33 Album1Measurements: Waist: 34" Thigh: 11.5" Knee: 8" Cuff: 7" Inseam: 33" These were from my first order back in November. I received them about 2 months ago and, sadly, they are too small for me. Construction seems solid and I would love to wear these if the waist was slightly larger. The Candiani fabric is beautiful. My second order was from their RTW collection offered about 2 months ago. Because my size 35 fit too small on me, I ordered a size 36 x 33 slim taper in the 16.5 oz fabric. I guess they forgot that they had already sent me my previous order and sent me another pair of 35 x 33 slim tapers in the Candiani fabric (but without a leather patch). I received both about a week ago. 2nd Pair: 14 oz Candiani Indigo x Indigo Slim Taper Size 35 x 33 (no patch) Album2Measurements: Waist: 34" Thigh: 11.5" Knee: 8.25" Cuff: 7.25" Inseam: 33" 3rd Pair: 16.5 oz Cone Mills Slim Taper 36 x 33 So this pair was interesting... I'll let the images do the talking. Album3There's no freaking buttons or rivets on them! This is a hilariously pathetic product. I wasn't even mad when I opened them, I just laughed haha. Even if they were a complete pair of jeans they would not fit me. Measurements: Waist: 36" Thigh: 11.5" Knee: 8.3" Cuff: 7.75" Inseam: 33" So apparently there is a 2" difference in the waist between a size 35 and 36. When I ordered a size 35, I was hoping it would be 35" in the waist. Oh well, I'm not out all that much money on these. Hopefully someone on here or reddit will be willing to buy the two complete pairs seeing as Lawless' customer service is now nonexistent. Who knows what the hell I'll do with the other pair haha.

Hearing Kahla is off the team is really disappointing. Kahla- you were the only customer service person I spoke with who made and sense or was even mildly understanding. Emily just repeated Roman quotes over and over even when they didn't have anything to do with my question, and when I wasn't satisfied, she'd get angry. She promised repeatedly to return a call or send an email and wouldn't- getting in touch with Kahla would fix all that. I wonder what the deal is with my RTW return that was supposed to be shipped out, after waiting weeks for a return label. Kahla was my one hope in that panning out.
