Maybe it's because the shirt is very stiff? Maybe I'm fat? I donno. Basic movements pop it off. It's from all of those Kris Gethin workouts...you're hulking out. I'm build like a midget that grew too much. I think it's the heavy material and these snaps which is the real problem. @winterland I was thinking that but it's hard for the fabric to move since it's tight in the arm. Not a lot of movement. Hopefully Sal reads this and let's me know what I should so with the shirt if he wants me to send it back or if they will eat the mistake.

I noticed that on my size Large Blackwatch shirt too brentkuz. The sleeves at the bicep and forearm were way too tight. I hard a difficult time bending my elbows. not good.

But, if you refunded the shirt, and it still came, maybe it's a total mix up and belongs to someone else? What did LD say about it?

How is the fit of your thicker fabric Iron Heart shirts as compared to the Lawless? Mine seems very similar and wouldn't want the bicep or forearm any bigger.

I know you were talking to brentkuz, but I say fit and construction quality are VERY similar between my LD and IH shirts. I place my LD shirts higher than I do my Rogue Territory Utility WS. Based in the 2 shirts that I received from LD, I have high faith that if they ever change the business model to a more traditional style (Months of production and QC in order to stock merchandise) they could rival and surpass MANY denim brands out there.

The fit of my LD shirt was terrible.

The regular large shirt was nice and trim fitting. Just a bit too much in the arms for someone that lifts often maybe?
Material and construction are amazing. I don't have the iron heart 33 but I assume this is very close.
My only gripe is the snaps I can live with the tight forearm fit.

Here's a picture of my snaps. Does anyone have a similar pic of the snaps used by IH? It would be interesting to compare.

Sleeves are def too long. Even at 25.5" they would have been long. Kinda wanna wash the shirt to shrink them but nervous the arms will be too tight. Take a page from the Loomie playbook and take a nice long shower in your shirt!

brentkuz - Thanks! That's what I would have guessed, any jackets I have with snaps are that type (with an expansion ring). Even if LDs are ok new they will wear out with use. Dirty_Denim - in your spare time maybe an upgrade?

Dirty_Denim - in your spare time maybe an upgrade? The tiger eye part looks good tho. They are however light duty snaps. Really not suited for a heavy denim shirt. Apparently I am picky with my closures. I hated Gustin's original mop buttons and not a fan of the Lawless snaps.

Wow shows how I pay attention! I didn't even know we could load photos on the website. Here is one quick shot from ickes potato cam. You just realized you could load pics?? The shirt does look great.

Iron heart 62 left vs lawless 15.2 cone right. Night and day not even close on quality. I take it you are just talking about the snaps? As I said I have had no issues with my snaps and I do have an IH shirt with pictured snaps. My fabric might not be as stiff as yours even though I thought it was till I wore it for a while and gave a soak. Softened some. The snaps might not be as hefty but to be fair the IH shirts are 3 times as much in price. Even more if you bought on a sale. I would have bought a heavy Gustin shirt but snaps are not even an option. I do understand that it would be hard to wear a shirt if the buttons keep coming undone. Maybe it will settle down as you wear it and the fabric conforms to you.

The LD snaps are standard prong type snaps (YKK etc) whereas the IH snaps are marine type (how I've heard them described). Notice the LD snaps have a solid post with a spherical dome while the IH snaps have a hollow, cylindrical post?
Used to work in the parachute industry and there was a lot of heavy duty fabric work going on. Just remember those hollow post snaps were "marine grade" or "marine type" and are a bit heavier grade.
Not weighing in or criticizing just passing along info.

Because, even the snaps on my IH came undone whilst lifting, climbing and building satcom and radio antennas. The look of donut buttons are not as sleek, but after getting these 2 LD shirts, it's something I will look for when shopping for workshirts to work in, or at least normal shirt buttons.

So I really believe, and hope, that my LD Blackwatch shirt size L classic was a botched shirt. Based on everyone else's feedback regarding sizing and fit, it has to be so. Plus, when I contacted Sal about shirt sizing I sent him measurements of one of my best fitting TS shirts in a 42 and he recommended a Large Slim in LD.

So true, @untucked. I've had all sorts of work attire that was assigned to me through numerous engineering gigs. Lots more buttons than snaps for sure, especially on any haz op stuff for handling ordnance or doing launch ops etc and possibly plastic zipper.. The only thing I can remember having snaps were some ESD smocks to wear around delicate electronics.
It's funny, if you go to the Rockmount Ranchwear site and read the history of their iconic Western shirt, the purpose of the snaps was to let go and open up when riding through brush rather than holding and allowing the shirt to rip. I don't know anything about being a cowboy so who knows if that makes any sense.
Like you, I still think snaps look badass and like them better than buttons most of the time on casual/workwear shirts.

I figured we needed snaps because any woman worth her salt would rip our clothes off as soon as soon as they saw our badass LD shirt
