Those look really nice @wils and I quite agree about the details and value of LD. Yeah, LD just needs to fix the wait time. Tons of potential.

Sweet pictures middleage! I'm curious because I ordered almost the same jacket, does the jacket look anything like this?
I would very much like to avoid the striped pajamas look lol...

I received my order from October 2 today. The quality of construction is solid. I have a number of Gustin 38 straights and these fit similar to a couple of the earlier pairs I received that were a little snug. The rise is a little lower than I would like. The white weft shows through so they are not a solid black.
I am looking forward to the 4 other pairs of jeans and 3 shirts I have on order.
14 oz. Japanese Black Slub Selvedge Denim (#672837) Men's Styles: Relaxed Straight, Waist: 38, Rise: Mid-Rise, Inseam: 31, Fly: Button Fly, Hardware-finished: Gun Metal, Pocket Liners: 7oz Black and White Canvas, Front Pocket Design: Front Pocket Classic, Back Pocket Design: Back Pocket Heritage, Denim Tag: American Eagle with Shield, Thread Colors: Egyptian Topaz, Hem: Double Chainstitch, pa_cuff: 1, Cuff Roll: Rolled Once

I just noticed the website looks quite a bit different and cleaner, although the navigation is still the same.

I have ordered the same fabric but I don't expect it to arrive before mid of febraury. Hence I'd really appreciate if you could post a couple of (fit) pictures! Thanx! Not the right outfit for the jacket but want to give everyone a feel of the fit. I was concern about the shorter length and the slim sleeves but I grow to like them. Anyway, here are the fit pictures and couple more photos. For the price after discount and compare to G and other companies, I feel like I stole the jacket with the money I paid... LD just needs to shorten the wait time. Disclaimer: None of the photos capture the real color of the fabric. I am surprised with the liner within the pocket. Nice and thick. (this photo maybe closest to the real color) Size M and I think it fits pretty perfect. For your reference, I am 5"10 158 lbs with 39" chest and 31" waist.

The only thing I'm slightly less enthusiastic about is the size of the upper pockets. They look kinda big to me.

Not sure if I'd mind though, as I tend to put stuff in my upper pockets, and don't use the bottoms much, or at all.

Agreed. The only thing I'm slightly less enthusiastic about is the size of the upper pockets. They look kinda big to me. this. the fit looks great. those pockets take over up top. This is something (pockets) that we see talked about in the leather jacket forums. On a small(er) person/jacket, the pockets are larger as normally, vendors don't adjust the size for the size of the jacket. That was the way it was in WWII era jacket making, so I am assuming that this is what most still do today. So, when I get one, the 48Long will look more proportioned I'm guessing.

Well its a chore coat, you dont do real chores with small tools bigg pockets to carry bigass tools and screws and shit Construction and fabric looks great. Its not my style, since I dont sport longer jackets aso well, so cant say much here other then that it fits you great.

@wils, nice fit! Perfect imo. Now you just need a leather jacket to layer over it and a motorcycle. It's time, my friend.
That fit has inspired me to take my G postal ws in for tailoring. Much improved. Very nice jacket middleaged, good work by LD.

just a note to those trying to decide between a single or double chainstitch cuff...i've noticed on my promo pair of 14 oz Cone Orange Selvedge (cone peach ID) that the double chainstitch doesn't allow for much roping effect. the look itself is not bad, but i do like the roping that chainstitching develops and based on this will probably always choose a single chainstitch.

I want to try at least one pair with double. I too like the roping, but I can forego on one pair for comparisons...
