Well I just hope mine ship this week. They've been 'nearing completion' for quite some time. Last week, though, I was told they are in the final step before quality control.

Yo! OG Gustin from KS days here, had some questions about LD.
I ordered from them during the KS, finally got my pair and the measurements were off. Not the straight 33 I ordered, something else. Contacted LD, and agreed to ship them back (from Sweden which is not cheap) in exchange for a pair that were the correct fit. Just got the exchange pair last week. Not the custom options I ordered, not the fabric either, nor really the fit. Contacted LD again, haven't heard anything back.
Now I'm willing to pass these on to a friend or goodwill or something, but I want to get a pair that fits me. So I'm asking for some help with those that have found the right fit to guide me towards what size I should be wearing. I'm willing to give this another shot, and then I'm done if it doesn't work out.
I took a fabric tape to bare skin to get my own measurements:
Waist (measured at the iliac crest): 88cm Thigh: 60cm Knee: 39cm Calf: 40cm
I train 5-6 days a week and am training for my first ultra marathon. Currently I run on average 60km a week, and will be increasing that to about 80-90km per week by March. I have a very athletic build and weigh 82kgs. I've been trying to order the 33 straight, but both times they haven't measured according to the fit guide, but now I'm even wondering if that is the size anyway. I've got both Gustins in 33 straight (Oky's which fit like a dream), 14oz indigo from KS which also fit well but have really stretched out, and a 32 Greyxblack which is tight, but fits regardless, more like a skinny fit then a straight when I sized down.
How much stretching should I expect from a pair of LD jeans? Should I stay again with the 33 straight, or should I size up to 34? I want the jeans to be tight, but, I still want them to fit without showing skin in the rear from the low rise, nor getting stuck on my calves like both pair have.
Bummer that the 18,5 oz fabric is gone, because that's what I've ordered and really wanted. Not what I've gotten.

I haven't referenced the fit guide, but according to your waist measurement (88cm is 34.645") you should be at a 34 or 35 by Lawless measurement guidelines (actual waist) depending on how you want them to fit. I would reference the fit guide for the other measurements and pick the fit based on those. I haven't received my first pair yet, but I wear a 33 Gustin and ordered 35 Lawless based on my actual waist measurement.

Bummer that the 18,5 oz fabric is gone, because that's what I've ordered and really wanted. Not what I've gotten. I find it unsettling that LD messed up your order so badly, but that's another story. Please note that I do not have Gustin or LD denim in my hands (both on order) so take this for what its worth. Baseline thinking when comparing LD and Gustin sizing is that Gustin sizes up 0.5 inches and LD sizes down 0.5 inches. In other words, a size 33 measures 33.5" Gustin and 32.5" LD. So if you are a 33 in Gustin, it is equivalent to 34 in LD. Next item to consider is how you want them to fit out of the box. Tight to allow for stretching or comfortable with minimal stretching? If you want them to be comfortable you would need to order your true waist size 35 (ie. 34.5" LD) or even 36 if you want them looser. Sizing below true waist at 34 (33.5" LD) would work but will be tight to start off with but will stretch-to-fit. Sizing down further to 33 will be even tighter. Keep in mind that stretching would be on par with how any other selvage would. As for other measurements, measure based on what you have and adjust for perfection (ie. if your measured Gustin thighs are too tight add 0.5" / 1" etc.). Compare all measurements to LD sizing chart and choose their closest fit (slim/tapered/straight). When ordering you can adjust the fit by entering in your custom measured sizes in the description/notes box.

I am still very nervous about my size in LD and should know for sure this week. For climbmonkee, I will definitely contact Dirty_Denim here and he probably can give you the latest sizing and fabric information.

it is now official that my pairs of LD kickstarter jeans are forever lost. Dirty_Denim confirmed that both pairs were shipped in one package (explaining the initial two ship notices...one was cancelled when the pairs were combined). and USPS claims they were delivered (they weren't) and must have been stolen (they weren't)...I had to file a claim today with the enforcement / investigative unit of the USPS. they say there is little chance of my items ever arriving, but will investigate the issue. Dirty_Denim and roman have offered to get a replacement of some sort, which is great...just need to work out the details. it just sucks that the first package of mine to ever get lost in transit and it's something that's basically irreplaceable (in that form).

Don't feel too bad. I had sold two leather jackets in one year. One was lost (UPS) and one stolen (USPS). Took me a YEAR to get the USPS to pay me the insurance. I had it covered, but they insisted it was not covered as it "disappeared". Needless to say, $800 was very motivating for me, and with my wife's assistance, we got the check almost a year later. It was an inside job, and luckily we are smarter than the guys that tried to pull it off. Ever since that, I've been paranoid about shipping losses. Hope you get a resolution @david.

Old26 thanks. i've had deliveries go very awry and plenty that have taken mysterious trips around the world and show up weeks/months late (including several dead coral from my reef tank days). this will be my first complete loss. bummer for sure...especially after the wait. don't think usps is going to be very willing to cover the insurance claim (~63% of price paid) since the carrier insists they were successfully delivered. it's obviously a very first world problem and everyone will live, and LD seems like they'll work with me which is great.

Only review as of now is my order from 11/2/14 will be 12 weeks instead of 8-10. Not a big deal.

My current review is that I get the runaround, order keeps on getting pushed back. Whatever deadlines are provided are not true.
Last week I was told my order was being finished and would ship late last week, early this. It's now late 'this' week and still nothing. Emails are going unanswered, no one is picking up the phone. Sal is MIA as well, though he is NOT a good resource for old order inquiries.
Been getting the same responses, pretty much, ever since November.
Of course, reading Yelp reviews, facebook reviews, do not make one feel better either.

I'd love to put in a review myself, but my order from 10/2/14 is nowhere to be found. Still waiting to hear back from Sal after initially contacting him a week ago. I don't care if it comes late. I'd just like some word on its progress. Enough griping from me though. I'd sooner post a review on the product as opposed to the process.

I'd like to have even a rough indication of their expected production order number range for the next month or so. By end Jan and end Feb.
My first order was 5 November, claiming 6-8 weeks, but I'm convinced that it'll be 14-16 now, or end February.
The timescale has sent me back into the G fold now, as at least I know which of their sizes work for me, and I reckon delivery will be quicker.

wdw: Oct 7th, I ordered. I was told 4-6, which I then quickly learned was 6-8 (former for non-custom, latter for custom). This then was promised to be finishing and completing after about 9 weeks. On week 11 still nothing. On week 13 Jim at Lawless tells me they are 'in their final stage' and 'will ship later this week, but to be safe, early next week' [this being the last few days being 'next week']
Still nothing. 14+ weeks now.

Either you need to just sit back and wait, or cancel your items and sit out of the game until everything has caught up (what I did with both Gustin and LD), or just leave the game entirely. After all this wait, and delays after delays, not sure how one can give a fair assessment when they receive the product. And it'll be unforgivable if they don't fit.

I ordered a pair of jeans in July during the KS campaign and still waiting. The last communication I received, after repeatedly asking for status updates, was in December. My jeans were supposedly cut and ready to be shipped. Follow-up emails have gone unanswered. Contacted Sal this week and he said he was looking into my missing order, so I am hoping he will sort things out. Frustrating to read that orders placed months after mine have in some cases been delivered, whereas I have no idea what happened to mine. The lack of communication on the part of LD is also frustrating. I can understand setbacks, etc. but at least inform customers rather than keeping them in the dark.

Any idea how to contact LD customer service? Left them several messages in their online chat (always offline by the way), left them a few emails which are unanswered. Also left them 2 messages in the chat window of my order status page.
Very frustrating and looking at the amount of unhappy customers here, really doubt LD ability and their supposedly "top notch" customer service. I'm actually considering cancelling my order and just order Gustin.
