This was an issue with Gustin's Kickstarter, as well. I'm pretty sure other denim Kickstarters had similar issues, too.. except maybe RPM West, who sent multiple sizes in anticipation of the problem.
The difference is, most Kickstarters didn't allow returns for incorrect sizing. Lawless is in a tough position, though.. first, you've set a precedent that customer satisfaction is more important than profit. Secondly, Lawless needs to go above and beyond to disprove the initial impressions and reputation out there.
I love the relationship that you guys've built with this community, but feel in some cases you have been unsustainably flexible with some of our requests.
@wils is on the right track, thinking of ways to help improve your operational efficiency.. I don't agree with locking out sizing changes entirely, but think freezing changes after like a week or so would make it easier to plan production and avoid rework. Maybe your inventory tracking system includes "gates" where changes get locked in.. kind'a like Gustin does.
I hope you guys continue to use the forums as a sounding board and place to test ideas. We want great goods at great value, but we want you guys to be rewarded for it, too. DD is a bro first and then an employee and Roman and Ciano have become bros through their interactions with us. I'd like to think we're in this together to make it a win-win for all of us.

I do believe the guy can say what ever he wants especially if we are running late. The only thing I just do not get is when a man not a teen boy act like that over something so simple. I have got many a people more than they deserved when we are wrong. I mean there has been literally a few hundred people who sent in sizes based on jeans they own. Meaning telling us they are a 32 waist but really they are a 34 because they went off the tag from a pair of Naked & Famous. We have taken back at least 150 pairs of jeans and will make those customers new pairs. We will definitely lose out because of KS. Some people have sent us pics of their ill fitting jeans and blamed us. When we get the jeans they measure exactly what they are supposed to. Do we have some mistakes...YES but we will always fix that without blinking an eye. I just wish people to be genuine and stop trying to scam a company that is already giving you a price that is borderline Old Navy pricing (it is actually) I also have one guy who bought something for $10 more last sale who noticed we lowered the price by $10 this sale and asked to cancel his order that was placed on Nov 3rd (his order was already completed by the way) He told me to actually cancel the old order so he can get the $10 discount which is really $5 BC of the 50% code. So he goes to the back of the production line for $5. I tried to talk him out of it but he got mad at me because he believed i was trying to keep him from getting the better price. So i did it. I am sure in 8 weeks he will be the guy that posts how bad we are. Anyway You guys ROCK! So, is a grab bag on jeans coming? I read between the lines that you have a 150 pairs of jeans in inventory....

I hope that Lawless does a grab bag. I hate to think of all those jeans going to waste. Find them happy homes!

I am sure some of them have been adjusted when possible as well. Could have been inseams and other things that may be quite easy to fix

YEs guys the old site orders are being made and shipped now. I am positive we are a week to 10 days behind on those. The kcikstarter orders are even more due to more changes being requested with people wanting sizes changed and fabrics swapped out after seeing new stuff posted. That alone added atleast 2 weeks to those orders being completed. We never are able to catch a rhythm which I am sure will always be the case with our model. When I get to AZ I will try to nail down what our times really are. Thank you guys for understanding. I promise I will do everything possible to get as much info as possible while there. order #11684 on old site, yeahhhh.... maybe, the first typr IIreview soon !!!!

I am sure in 8 weeks he will be the guy that posts how bad we are. Anyway You guys ROCK! that has to be frustrating. this is one of the main reasons why I don't pester you guys about delivery dates or make changes to my order, because 1) it'll hold up production for everybody else and 2) I think you guys have been going all out in the customer service dept and have been very accomodating to everyone. I also think you guys do a good job at listening to what your customers want (ie. lined waxed cruiser). If anything, I think Lawless should try and shore up the ability to make changes to an order as this will cause further delays for you and cost you more money in the long run. It's great that Lawless is accomodating but if someone chooses to make an impulse purchase without even researching the product they're ordering, then the sizing issue is hardly your fault. Jeans sizing is one of the primary reasons why I haven't splurged on higher quality selvedge denim - because there's so much variance between brands and I don't want to make the mistake that hundreds of other guys make and order the wrong size. Either way, keep doing what you're doing and don't let the trolls out there get under your skin.

And for the record, who sees a picture of Roman and thinks, "Yoga is stupid?" Ha, did somebody really say that? Dude looks like he's in great shape for a human, let alone somebody his age. My BIL does yoga and is a special forces badass so I make it a point to not bag on yoga. I also appreciate that at 6', 180 lbs he's about an inch and 5 lbs from being the exact same size as me.

yeah, I'll go ahead and contribute to this thread continuously straying off topic (wokka wokka by saying that although I can, and have, pushed myself through some intense weight training sessions...the few times I tried yoga I felt like an 80 year old man trying to do some of those positions. I was surprised by how much of a workout it is. Respect for yoga

Yoga is the bomb. Coming up on 60 in a couple months, I can say that if you want to keep flexible, and functional as you age, its the best thing out there. Don't expect to be an elitist at it unless you have been doing it a lifetime, but your never too old to start. I work out with kettlebells for strength, and function, but yogo will improve your life whether you exercise of not. Sorry for being off topic, but we probably won't add a yoga thread, but who knows?

...pics and words of tan jeans... I like them alot! I think they fit you very good. I was also "worried" about the rise that was a little bit high for me, but after some days of wear they just molded beautifully to me and I dont notice it and it looks just perfect in the mirror. Its like it shrinks and molds in the best way....well for me anyways. This is the first jeans that have done this, usually I end up having to sag them but not the LD. Please keep us posted. I also think the little bulge will settle in. About the pockets, I always thought that the actual bags were always white, but the specified "pocket lining" is that for the backpockets and the little front pocket. Do you have same material in all 5 pockets?

We have a workout thread, could go in there if desired. For anyone to call out someone who does Yoga sounds like grade school bullying. I hope to do some Yoga eventually. Also more meditation. We all love stylish clothes which makes us feel good but doing things that actually make us healthier is a no brainer. It can not only extend out lives but also the quality of that life.

If anything it is the natural color. I still think on a custom order I would take the front rise down by .5 to .75 inches (maybe even an inch) and up the back rise by that amount. Keep the same total rise and just shift it from front to back.

davelewis: Right on, brah!! I'm 62...I swim a km most days (& walk, & stretch). My son has been doin' ju jutsu for 8 years (damn, at 13 he already has my measure; can't even get him in a headlock these days, lol). We're into physical culture. I find it disheartening/stupid for folks to knock yoga which I believe to be the highest, most enlightened form of physical (& beyond) maintenance/routine. Developed over eons. According to yoga, the most critical aspect of retaining youthfulness/resisting fossil development/s is spinal flexibility/suppleness...hope a couple of dudes (who are obviously intelligent) stop w/ the anger/provocation (it's very ageing!!) Physically, Roman looks to be in pretty good/very good shape (&, if he wasn't, well, basic manners would preclude any comment!)

As luck would have it, I happen to be wearing the Keep Yoga Weird t-shirt from my friends' studio here in town. They're the coolest. And they include silliness in their philosophy, which is very important to me. For example, a recent post on their FB page: Wifebert is an addict (3-4 sessions per week, at least). I just drop in when I can. Wanna get into a routine where I have a more frequent and consistent practice, because I always feel like a million bucks afterwards.
