After messing around with cheap steamers, I bought a US made Jiffy. Highly recommend. www.amazon.com/dp/B0000665TD/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_ObtEyb0JGECNHKnocks creases right out of shirts and chinos, allowing for more wears per wash, if you're into that sort of thing. Also makes suits and woolens look 1,000x better and knocks out the wife's blousey things in seconds. I just got the plastic head, but the metal lets you press a crease if you don't want to take the time to also use an iron for that.

I should try it as I have been ironing some of my shirts more and I hate ironing khakis.

I bought a sh*tty toaster to replace my even sh*ttier toaster that died on me a few days ago. paid 15 ducats for it. for some reason I can't bring myself to pay $30+ for a freakin' toaster. but then again, like anything you get what you pay for. guess i'll find out soon enough

Been spending too much on dry cleaning just because I'm too lazy to take care of my clothes/iron them.

The steamer alone makes things look presentable and if you need to really dial it in, it makes ironing just take a few seconds instead of minutes.

So technique wise your basically saying steam>light - iron for a perfect presentation steam - for a decent presentation

Yep. Steam is good enough for me, my wife would probably prefer steam and the iron. But five minutes after putting it on, it will look the same.

I have a small hand held steamer and it's one of the best things I ever purchased. I haven't ironed since. I'd love one of the larger ones once I have more space but for now it works fine. Definitely helps maintain clothes between washes and knocks out some of those pesky creases and lapel folds after washing. I mainly use it for chinos and button downs and knocking the hanger crease out of suit pants when needed.

It looks like all this Loomstate research and feedback from the masses here has finally nudged me around the corner...in the process of selling/donating 5-6 pairs with the plan to pick up one or two of either: Oni's 626, Tanuki NT, or Momotaro zims. I think the quality and fit I'm looking for is there. But I may still try the Loomies. Looks like the no spend will kick in eventually.

I have been wanting to update my JC**W University Black wool peacoat (which needs another button sewn on it) to something more refined from a fabric perspective. I have this one coming which is made of doeskin wool. Which I chose over this, which looks more conventional with not as good wool, but I may end up going too if the above one does not fit.

Picked up another Reigning Champ crewneck on sale. I had to talk to someone at the store to confirm billing info and the guy kept saying 'fo sho.' Must be a west coast thing. Either way, I had been looking for the navy crewneck from the core collection on sale but missed out from several sites. Still want the navy zip up midweight hoodie

Just grabbed the TS Travel Pant in charcoal. Been looking to add a black/charcoal pair of sweats to the lounge collection. (Ahem) may have just added an 8th or 9th email address to do so and save 20%.
Presently in the process of a denim purge, mostly to offset the planned purchase of a pair or two - thinking a basic staple pair (G khaki twill) and a high-end pair (really gravitating towards the Tanuki's).

Took advantage of another price drop at Need Supply and nabbed an olive Reigning Champ zip up hoody. Close to 60% off.

didn't really care for my travel pants too much. The Indigo ones are nice but the black/charcoal ones are kinda funky and a tight fit for my body, for some reason tighter than the Indigo pair. They have been relegated to winter time pajamas where as my Indigo ones will get worn to the gym here and there.
