Does anyone have experience with this brand? I think their styling is second to none but I tried on a couple of their shirts the last time I was in Portland and they were really light fabric for $200 (they were the western oxford and one of the flannels). I wanted to find the chambray or one of the printed flannels but no luck.

I don't have experience with this company. I posted a pic of their waxed canvas rider's jacket over in the waxed canvas jacket thread. their pricing seems a little high compared to similar brands, but their stuff looks great.

That shirt is tits. I can't find a sizing chart though. OMG, it is "SILK".... (sac off) I am so glad that the product descriptions don't have words like "best fabric", "buttery" and BS like that. Anyway, I do like the shirt a lot but yellow tops never work on me because of my skin color. Too much yellow.

That shirt is tits. I can't find a sizing chart though. There isn't one. Found a company that sells their stuff and the measurements they had seemed similar to G's classic fit sizing, just a little shorter (inch or two) .

I found their large to be long enough but a bit baggy and their medium to fit perfect in the chest but was too short. I want to love their stuff but haven't found the right shirt yet. The railroad stripe is a beauty too!

I emailed them with a few questions, there responce-
Doug,
Good morning.
Here are a few measurements for the Double Pocket Classic Plaid shirt in the sizes you have requested:
Large Body Length 30 3/4" Chest 45 1/2" Across Shoulder 19" Sleeve Length 26 3/4²
X-Large Body Length 31 1/2" Chest 46 1/2" Across Shoulder 19 1/4" Sleeve Length 26 3/4²
Not sure if this helps, but I¹m 6¹3² and weigh about 180 pounds and a size Large fits me perfect. As for the weight of the material, this shirt is a medium to light weight cotton flannel, with a small amount of silk woven in.
Let me know if you have any more questions and thanks for the support.
Randy

So I just got two large Freenote Cloth shirts: this one and this other one. I liked the second one a bunch, until I noticed the gusset was plain white t-shirt material. Basically it looks like I left my white undershirt hanging out from under my shirt, which annoys me a lot. Good thing I can just return them to a Nordstrom Rack!

Yeah, the white gusset is odd. Especially as their are some Pins that list that fabric as Japanese cotton/linen selvedge. You would think some selvedge edge detail would be the obvious choice for the gusset. Maybe the Pins are wrong.
What do you think of the dobby shirt? I was going to order one. The shirt looks like it has a selvedge gusset?
Thanks!

As for that shirt, I didn't like the color as much and the fit wasn't as good, but that was just a personal thing. They both seemed like well-made shirts to me. You have to be sure you like the elbow patch though.

So I've gotten a couple of their shirts and have been in contact with one of the owners, Andrew. Their shirts are amazing. Hands down my favorite at the moment. I got the rail stripe and the japanese stripe. The fits on these are much better, shorter in the body than the vintage stripe they had a while back. The fabric, construction and details are great. I emailed them to tell them how much I liked the rail stripe and they gave me 50% my next purchase. They have a very nice looking denim jacket coming out next week that I'm thinking about using it on.

Also of interesting note, they're releasing the waxed canvas riders jacket in new colors, so tobacco, olive and charcoal.

love the Shelton - Japanese indigo linen

I'm conflicted. I checked the fit guide for the Shelton and the sleeves and front length for a large are longer than I'd prefer. I wonder if this is to account for shrinkage? It's Japanese indigo linen so I'm not sure if that's the case, or if this shirt is intended to be tucked

But when taken to task on these things, I think most of us here live in glass houses.

But when taken to task on these things, I think most of us here live in glass houses. Point taken but I'm only willing to spend so much on certain things. A backpack would only be used once or twice a week at best. Seems silly to spend $300+ on something that would only see occasional use, regardless of quality, hence the reason I was looking for inexpensive recommendations. Compare that to a jacket that would get worn daily. Also, the Freenote shirt I want costs $230, and it's highly unlikely I'll actually buy it. I WANT it but don't need it. Besides, we're on a denim forum where everybody enables each other to buy products. I think there are plenty of us here that live in glass houses
