That dobby looks a lot better in your photos than the ones I saw at Nordstrom Rack. It kind of looked sickly green. And yeah, the owners are rad. I struck up an email convo with Andrew and he is a super nice dude.

They make some nice looking gear, but it makes me wonder why an American made company can only offer shirts that will fit someone up to a 42" chest?

The stripe shirt I have is 45" chest. And that is only a large

Alright, houndstooth round two. My wife absolutely hates it, she says it looks like a Vietnam War era costume. So it's going out on a daddy date. Man, it's totally killer. I know what I am saving up for, now.

yeah, this XL dobby is good for a 46-48. I checked the fit guide on their website, and it appeared that all their shirts had the same fit, with an XL being 45.5 in the chest. I was going off of that.

gaseousclay not at all. But being married we both reserve the right to say when when we don't like something and we try to dress attractively for each other. She actually told me to keep it if I really like it but that she's just not a fan. I'm going to think about it and contact Andrew to see if they have any returns of the fleck denim workers jacket. If they do I'll probably sell this at a small discount and buy that one since it is what I wanted in the first place.

i'd love to know how those sold out so fast. they haven't been available for very long. Maybe they only produced them in small batches, or all of their stockists snatched them up. So is the consensus to stick with your regular size for shirts Or go down a size? Their fit chart for size large seems a little wonky for the sleeves and hem, unless they're accounting for shrinkage

I have no experience with their denim.

Freenote has a couple new shirts being offered, one is a khaki twill and another is a cotton/wool blend.

I saw those. Not super impressed by either. The denim riders jacket has my interest but they've also previewed floral and denim shirts for SS 2016 that I may save my money for.

$400 though for the denim riders jacket, and it's cone mills. for $400 you're now veering into Japanese brand territory. I like the look of the denim riders jacket but that lining is a bit Seinfeld.

Honestly all their stuff looks overpriced to me for what it is. Although they don't have the weight listed on their flannels so Im curious to know how heavy they are

I think you've invalidated this as an argument you get to use.

Man you guys are too predictable...lol...I saw those comments coming a mile away, I should just stop setting you guys up.
It's totally an argument I get to use. I've paid less for the majority of my IH shirt purchases. Yeah they were off of Rakuten but so what? I would guess that these Freenote flannels are nowhere near 12 oz.

It's not the price so much as the entire 180 on Iron Heart. You thought they were ridiculous until you got them and now it's your favoritest brand in the whole world. "Don't get to use this argument anymore" is a bit harsh, and clearly you can do whatever the f!@k you want, I'm not gonna try to stop you, but you're using the exact argument you used against Iron Heart for so long. The irony is not lost on this side of the internets.

The irony is not lost on this side of the internets. Ahhh come on guy (southpark movie reference...anyone??) I never knew people would have such a hard on about someone changing their opinion on a certain brand. Forgive me if I was not born with the knowledge of everything clothing related and that I had to actually learn things over time through research on the interwebs and good old fashioned "field work". Forgive me if I have actually changed my opinion about a brand once I actually received an article of their clothing. Trust me, when it comes to Iron Heart I can assure you I am not the only one who has done so.
So freakin what man? I thought IH was a rip off before I had any of their products and now that I have learned a lot about clothing over the years and have their products in hand I've evolved and can appreciate what it is and I now see the value in that brand. Also, I will say it one more time, you may be forgetting (or just not reading it the many times I've posted it) I have bought the majority of my IH gear off of Rakuten not from IHUK which also led to my changing opinion. I wasn't aware of Rakuten pricing one year ago.
I'm tired of talking about this.

but yes, that is why I brought up the question of what the weight of the Freenote flannel is. If it's a 12 oz flannel then yeah, not really overpriced. If it's an 8 oz(ish) flannel or less then IMO it's overpriced. I think everyone here knows, the heavier a fabric the more expensive it is.
