Should I order based on LD Slim Straight chart Size 31 or based on LD measurement method 34? 99 Dude....order a 34 if that's what you measure. If it helps, I wear a 31 in most brands of jeans...I measure 33.5 so I ordered a 33 in Lawless and they turned out fine. I could have went with 34, but I like my fit a little tighter. Edit: Make sure you're measuring where you like your jeans to sit on your waist....I'm sure if you order a 31, you'll end up with a pair of jeans that are going to be too small

Apparently I am some sort of freak of nature because before I got into raw denim I wore jeans with a 35-36 tag size, measuring by the Gustin method put me at their 35-36 tag size, and measuring by the Lawless method put me at...wait for it...their 35-36 tag size!

You were fat, then you got thin, then you ate some pie!!
Me, I was fat, then fatter, and then "hell no" and now ive been sick so am actually a little less fat. Still would like some pie tho.
I were 32 in Levis, 35 in Gustin and 38 in LD so I just effed it and said I was 36 in LD and mind over matter they fit!

So a got a soft tape, using LD method, I measure 34" Most my jeans measure 31" using the Laying down on floor method, 15.5" x 2. This is how I purchase all my jeans online using the above method, mostly spot on fit. I don't a Gustin so I can't compare. Should I order based on LD Slim Straight chart Size 31 or based on LD measurement method 34? Your picture looks like 14" measured although loosely measured. This can be settled very easily (as far as I can tell): for those who have received product, post the following information (tapered/slim/straight, LD size, measured size, measured size pulled tight). Measured sizes using Gustin method. Once we have enough data, everyone can make an informed decision.

Really stupid question. When looking at the shirt or jacket sizing chart what the hell does it mean true chest vs jacket/shirt chest?

Really stupid question. When looking at the shirt or jacket sizing chart what the hell does it mean true chest vs jacket/shirt chest? I'm guessing it's your true chest size vs your best fitting chest size. Kinda like how they do jeans. LD says measure your waist, while Gustin measure the waist of your best fitting pair.

No its like David says.
True chest = measurement you get from measuring your body. Shirt chest = the measurement the shirt will have.

Anyone else having issues with tight forearms and bicep area of their shirts? The cuff is large but the forearm is tight as hell. Large regular fit.
I can't bend my arm and hold it there because it cuts my circulation off. Thinking about flipping the shirt I doubt I will ever wear it.

I told Sal about it and hope LD will make an adjustment of it.

Question on their regular fit jeans and the calf/cuff opening...anyone wear them with cowboy boots? Wondering if they are large enough to work for that Well, Mr. Oat, I have my riding boots and took some photos. Here are photos to helps you decides. Lawless 13 oz somethingorother in a 37 straight. I just dropped my winter holiday/depression weight so I am swimming in them a little. Too bad I ordered my next three pair the same size...it is ok, now I will have options when I get fat again! hooray! Might also try washing them to see if they take in a little slack...but assume they will just stretch back out. boots are Ariat Heritage Roughstock. www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/mens-ariat-roughstock-cowboy-boots-brown-oiled-rowdy?a=1162261They are my cool dude motorcycle boots. I haven't worn them in over a year. I miss the bikes.

If I were in charge of the Clothing Laws of the United States of America, I would mandate simple rules for all clothing and sizing. The fact that grown men have to discuss this so often (here and elsewhere) is a black eye to money-spending fashion whores everywhere. And I would outlaw vanity sizing, which is stupid, misleading, and well, vain. Also, I'd require that a tagged measurement match the actual measurement of the product regardless of any vanity issues. It's amazing to me how many retailers don't vanity size and yet still get tagging vs. actuals wrong. How can this be difficult in an age where we can build circuits down to tolerances in the microns?

Both of my workshirts are tight in the same areas you describe. Can't bend for prolonged periods of time without discomfort, either. Hope Lawless widens this area a bit with the new pattern. I'm still doing the Arnold thing, but believe I still have about average forearms.

Maybe I will thin out enough.

Yeah I have a feeling my calves won't fit into the 36 straights I've ordered or my chambray shirt. Maybe I should just cancel now.

I noticed both my pairs of LD jeans have tight calves on the straight fit. Same idea. Both of my lawless shirts size slim small are good in the forearm. My Iron Heart IHSH-08 small is actually a little tighter in the forearm. Maybe Lawless larger sizes need to be expanded in that area. The heavy fabrics do need some breaking in. I have seen broken skin on Iron Hearts forum from shirts.
