Dirty_Denim can we customize the rise? If so, in inches or high and low? I prefer a higher rise than standard.

I thought id tell you guys I tried on a pair of 38 slim straights today. The waist is big as I am a 36 normally but everything else fit exactly how I like. This means for me sizing up works out great. I would think a 37 would also be good but sizing up on these works really well with these if other measurements are to tight. I typically have to do this with most slim cuts so I pretty much expected it here

Ok this should give you guys a great way to compare actual sizing of jeans you own against what we offer. You should be able to figure out if your tagged 30 Rogue Territory's are really measured at 30 (which they are not). Some of you have told us you wear a specific size in another brand and that our jeans do not fit. That's because other brands sizing isnt what the tag says. Anyway this is a great tool that will show you why we say our tagged size will come in measuring what the tag says . RAWR Denim has this amazing tool that will help you find sizing so please feel free to use it when ordering from us to understand what we mean by true waist size. You can narrow your selection by brand of jeans to find what your current jeans actually measure scout.rawrdenim.com/denim

You have to remember each store may measure differnt. Some will pull the waist band even with the back & front aligned and some will just measure from corner to corner

So i cuff all my denim 99% of the time. However at such a low price point i figure why not try something with a shorter inseam. Just a slight straight break with dress shoes or chucks.
Went with a 32. Hope i didn't go to short. Fingers crossed.
Fwiw i think the ld slim straight is as close to Gustin straight as i get. 32 Gustin 35 LD

I am sure it'll turn out great. How tall are you?

Okay. I'll send one last message through my online account to change them to 33. I'm sure my last two messages are an annoyance but online size guessing especially with raw denim can be a little anxiety inducing.

So I wear a 32 Gustin straight and 33 Gustin slim. I've narrowed LD down to 35 but I'm torn between slim straight and straight. I straight would definitely be a little less snug in the things. Everything else is not really an issue. Attached are screenshots of both fit guides. Looking for advice.

Personally I like our straights because of the hem being reasonably sized.

yep, I'd go straights Brian, but you know that.
And my two cents on the length, I would go 33 or 34 if I were you. I'm going 34. I love to stack and I prefer a longer length, and Im 6'1" btw. I actually have some jeans that are even at 35".

Tell us how the G 33 slim fit i nthe entire jean. Ar they trim even in the legs? Why bigger slim? I wear same in regular and slim, bc for me its the waist that is the part I cannot change either up or down. (tight as hell when new, perfect after use). What you say makes me think that the 32 is not tight on you in the waist, or that you have big legs so had to size up bc of this?

With the lower rise i thought I'd give it a go. My 32 straights are tight right across the hips/pockets. As it turns out I really like the top block of my 33 slim more. The rest is a little slimmer in the legs but not an issue. They're the American sixteener which are almost 17 oz so I thought they might sew up a little tight. Either way I really like how the 33 slim top block fit me. And yes the Gustin 32 straight are indeed tight around the waist. I run and bike but I don't have cyclist or weight lifter legs what so ever

Everything else is not really an issue. Attached are screenshots of both fit guides. Looking for advice. I wear 33 slim in Gustin and went 35 slim straight in lawless after measuring my for-reallies waist. The rest og the measurements seems pretty close except the hem, which gains about an inch. I haven't received a pair yet, so I can't tell you how wise my decision was. I will say that if you modify the length in any way, I think it's fair to say that you might be surprised by a steeper taper if you go with a shorter inseam (I think this is the root of the somewhat common "calves are more snug than I was expecting" assessment).

And yes the Gustin 32 straight are indeed tight around the waist. I run and bike but I don't have cyclist or weight lifter legs what so ever My straight Gustin are actually tighter on me on the upper block then the slims due to the slims stopping before my belly and maybe lovehandles also. The Lawless I have are higher waisted then the Gustin slims but not as high as the Straights. I do Only have 1 pair of G straight though so dunno how they sewed up really. The lawless got a better fit after some wear when they molded more to me. I have the slimstraight and they are not slimmer in the top block apart from that initial before break-in feel of the slightly high rise, but they are more slim all over the legs. I dont see them as slim, because my Gustins were actually kinda loose specially in the high legs/right under butt and these are more perfect. I dunno if it helped, but...thats how I feel. So if the g slims are very trim the LD slims might be too snug but the top block is better for me. But G-32 is 32.5" so thats atleast an LD-33. What about also measuring the worn 33 layed flat just to see if you stretch them or not? If yes, they are surely 34 and that might work in LD, but yeah also look at all other specs. I would have been a 37 but the 35/36 had the best comparable specs as the G so I thought Id rather stretch the waist of a 36 then have all over to big jeans.

Y'all are confusing me.
I wear a 35 Slim in Gustin. They are a bit loose.
After comparing the fit guides, I ordered a 35 Slim Straight in Lawless. The only difference I can see is Gustin is +0.5" in the waist. Since my Gustins are always too big around the waist band, I thought this further confirmed 35 Slim was the way for me to go with Lawless.
Reading through these posts is starting to make me question if I made the right choice...

James, If you have a fabric measuring tape, wrap that sucker around your waist (take your best fitting pair, figure out where they sit when you're happy with them, push them down just below that and measure where they were to get your measurement (I think the tailor rule is add two finger-widths of additional "slop"). The Gustin method of measuring waist is not the same as the Lawless method. The Gustin way isn't technically vanity sizing, but it does come up smaller than actual waist circumference. I believe there's a video demonstrating measuring on the Lawless site.

jamesr, yeah measure your true waist like exophobe said. wrap the tape measurer around your waist right at the point your jeans sit. That number will be your actual waist size. just make sure you calibrate your tape measurer before you measure .
