Tobesjones, what color thread did you specify? Red or some variant? That looks kick ass. Regular old red. Would love to see more photos... very interested...

I for one have complained as of late after not saying a word for a very long time and I don't feel like a real ass. It's cool if you don't care about what's happened and it's cool if I do. My complaints aren't with delays, they re with a company being dismissive of customers and clearly pocketing money and then moving along to the next score before delivering goods. This is a documented fact not my opinion. Late is fine with me if you call me or email and say, yo, we're going to be late. Blow me off and you'll hear about it. If that's offensive, well too bad I guess. I can't imagine running my side business this way or conducting myself this way in my "real" career and I work for one of the hairiest, large scale start up Aerospace operations in history. It wouldn't fly. Again, no personal attacks fellas. Warning before the official warnings. -mgmt

One of my orders is at 12 weeks now and I have heard nothing. I can deal with waiting, trust me, I have tons of jeans and really don't need them. I have to agree with Old26, a NOOB would be freaking out.
Based on order numbers, it seems that LD has taken thousands of orders lately. I assume it's more than they anticipated and that's the reason for the delays. Hopefully in the end it will all work out, but I can totally see why people are getting a bit impatient.

I get the feeling that the utter excitement of doing something you love has gotten more than one KS business into trouble of biting off too much too soon.
I LOVE the enthusiasm, and I love the products, but I think a slower pace is essential to getting and keeping customers. I have money to spend and a desire to get a lot of shirts this year, but I have to wait and see how things go. I simply can't just plunk down more money only to wait and wait. As it is, I had to kill the urge to order a new jacket as the wait is now 2 years! I've waited a year+, but even though I have more than enough gear, I'm not waiting four months for a shirt or 24+ for a jacket any more.
Hoping for the best. I want small businesses to succeed. I want to patronize them. But I won't be able to perpetually support folks that can't get the bugs sorted.

I called LD today to see if I can get a status on my order, I spoke with someone and they said they would check my order and call me back. Didn't get a call back and when i called later in the day, there was no answer. I am getting a little impatient since I was hoping to have it by Thanksgiving however I am keeping a positive attitude about my shirt until i have it physically in my hand.

So post office man just dropped off my LD 18 oz Kuroki. Figure I would give you all some quick denim porn. I went with the red thread for something different and honestly don't know how I feel about this. I sure don't have anything else like this but I am thinking it would look better with a much darker indigo. One thing I am loving is these pockets. Genius of you LD offering flannel! I would throw out all of the crappy canvas bags that come with my other pairs and replace it with these if I could. From what you've posted here they look pretty great.

Personally, the amount of time I have to wait for my goods is of a distant secondary concern. If they come to me made with high attention to detail and quality, and the measurements are spot on to the fit charts on their site, I could care less of they are 2 weeks late, or 3 months late. Considering what I paid, I'd feel like a real ass complaining and ranting and raving away on a public forum the second they are 'officially' late. So guys, let's show our appreciation for these great deals we are getting by not piling on LD. Let's encourage them to take the proper time with our orders so they all come out perfect. Then we'll all be happy While I agree that, it the grander scheme of things, an additional few weeks - or even a month - on top of the originally specified delivery time doesn't actually make much difference, the point is that when a commercial business operation takes your money they essentially make a contract with you. If that contract is along the lines of 'Once you have supplied $£XXX to us immediately we will supply XXX jeans to you within XXX weeks' then it is only reasonable to expect the latter part of the deal to be upheld once the former part has been completed. I think everyone can accept delays if there are reasons... but when you're not even given those reasons and are essentially just left waiting beyond the specified delivery time, how can you ever have any idea of when your jeans might finally arrive? For example, I'm purely guestimating that my first pair will turn up sometime in February but it could be March, or even April - based on stevekas' experience - for all I actually know, because nobody's keeping me appraised of the situation. To be fair, I did PM Sal about the likely dispatch time and he said it's more likely 10-12 weeks at the moment. Appreciated the reply but it still took me to be proactive and to know how and where to make my enquiry, others may not. More to the point, it's actually Lawless I'm more concerned about than myself. Even if none of my LD orders ever turn up I've lost less than £100. That's it, my sole potential loss in this scenario. Those guys could end up losing their current goodwill, support, jobs and eventually their business. I absolutely do not need the jeans I've ordered from LD (although I do really want to see how the denim and its construction turns out) and so the actual period of waiting is largely neither here nor there - the point is that we were told 8 weeks at the point of handing our money over/striking our contract and that self-specified deadline has been missed. That is not liable to instill good feelings in customers and that's a real shame given all the good feelings that were created when LD started offering great fabric allied with (what looks like) great construction at exceptional prices. Looking at it from a slightly different perspective, I know that one of the people I encouraged to order a pair is annoyed with the extended wait and unlikely to order from LD again. His loss? Maybe so, but it's a potential ongoing customer that has now just bought a pair of 50% off jeans and possibly may be predisposed not to particularly like those jeans whenever they do arrive due to the long period of negative connotations associated with them in his mind. No business wants that, surely?, and I don't think it's 'ranting' to point it out. The slight worry I have is that if people just say, 'It's all good, I don't mind waiting 4 months for a cool pair of jeans' then LD will see that as the acceptable norm - which I don't think would do anyone any favours.

Talk about a blast from the past. One year like around 1972, my high school basket ball team voted to pick which shoes we wanted to go with, and the winner was a high top Chuck Taylor in green leather. We all thought they were cool, but I remember them being very hot, when wearing them in a basketball game. Look good chillin in though.

Would love to see more photos... very interested... No problem. I will get some more pics tomorrow with fit after a quick soak. Not that they need it. I threw them on briefly and see why Old and everyone's loves these and the Super Heavys. So damn comfortable. Couple more photos of these. Just tried them on again so they still have that out of the envelope fit but I think they will end up adjusting nicely like my other pair of LDs. Note I am 6'3 and these are a 36 inseam in the straight cut.
