Yeah I tend to agree with a bit of what @61scout is saying, especially after my conversation with Kahla today. She gave me an explanation for my taggate scenario and I have not decided to post it yet because I think I want to sleep on it for a bit and plus it could be a bit damaging for Lawless rep on here, but I think that's probably something that really couldn't be damaged much more at this point.
For now I will just say that the explanation Kahla gave me for my XL tag being "altered" to a L (which she did not deny in any way btw) was a complete line of bull shit. I don't blame Kahla because from what I understand she is new and I could tell she was just telling me the same line of BS that was told to here by someone at Lawless. Lawless is beginning to appear a bit shady imo.

I obviously don't know what explanation she gave you, but it just doesn't make business sense for anyone concerned about the company's reputation to do what they did. I can understand a craftsperson who is incentivized by volume / penalized by mistakes trying to push something through, a quality person getting his ass handed to him for too many internal reworks, or a production guy getting beaten to increase output trying to get away with something like this, but nobody with any sort of foresight in executive management could expect doctoring a tag to do anything but terrible things for the company. Cost and reputation both suffer as a result of this action.. ..unless they get away with it. Has anyone else received, or heard of anyone receiving, doctored tags? Perhaps this issue is overlooked more often than we may think..

Has anyone else received, or heard of anyone receiving, doctored tags? Perhaps this issue is overlooked more often than we may think.. No. It's ludicrous. The ONLY time I've ever experienced clothing having marker pens taken to the labels are on sale clothing - which is perfectly understandable when marked up to prevent full-price returns etc. But to 'amend' sizes labels, three of them, no less, in such a way on custom made clothing is appalling. In fact, the mental picture of whoever did it sitting there thinking, "Ah, I know, I'll just black out the X and it'll become an L!" is like something out of an episode of Friends. www.imdb.com/title/tt0583579/

What annoys me more and more in the modern business world is, Customer Service being filled with people who have almost no clue about what their company is doing or their products and definitely absolute zero authority to make any decisions. One can give LD the benefit of new blood, but there are more and more well established (and large) companies working exactly this way. I am a calm person, but at times I really have to hold myself back not barking at the innocent person. I think if in those moments I would get hold of a member of the management board I'd definitely be charged of slander .....

Not to make this worse but I asked where my jeans were which I switched from the black twill to an indigoxindigo because the black fabric was damaged. Which I heard from someone on this forum - no phone call. Anyway, she told me that the machine for putting the hardware on was damaged and that may delay the process. They promised they would ship this week and that's why I followed up. Anyway, it may be true but do they really have only one of these machines??? I didn't ask that because I wouldn't have necessarily believed the answer.

In the end, what they meant to say was "it will ship when it ships" objective answer: shipped this week was actually 3 or 4

Sorry, but hell will freeze over or LD will clear their backlog before I give them any more interest-free loans.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me...

Is this Romans fabric Company? If so I wouldn't count on the fabric even being off the loom yet.

This stinks of Roman trying to fund learning how to run those looms he has. If it's hard to find sewers imagine finding a loom operator outside of the Carolinas.

Well, oddly, "between 22-28 oz"? That's a wide spread there... Dunno guys, as much as I'd love to try these, I can't allow myself to be tortured yet again... BTW, I've been wearing my Beasts again, and I gotta say, I love those things.

"Due to the fact that this is a first run, denim weight may vary from 22-28 oz." Are you effin kidding me? !! lol...sorry, but that shows to me right there that they might be biting off more than they can chew with this. I might be wrong, but seriously what's up with that 6oz weight variance? Also, who is this mill? Anyone know?

Yeah, seriously, I wouldn't waste my time with these. Pick up a pair of Iron Hearts if you want some beautiful heavy denim. I've learned my lesson on that the hard way.

A quick google search finds no fabric producer with that name.

Only the wildest, most generous optimist would opt for a year long wait with an uncertain outcome when they can get top-notch Iron Heart from Rakuten next week for a few dollars more.

actually in some sense the business model is pretty smart: setting up companies and factories with other peoples funding and them taking all the risk ..... however there is a thin line to unfair competition (or even beguilement) in this

With the greatest respect to those who have ordered them... just, no, in so many ways.
My faith in LD just reached below minus.

If they had an option for jacket I would take the risk. 24 oz is pretty absurd for the first 3/4 of the year in California but perfect for the winter time. I want to take that risk. I mean, where else could I find a 24 oz Type II jacket? Moreover, where can I find a Type II thats heavier than 15.5 oz or what momotaro has stated? I missed out on the BOO09 because I didn't know they had preorders and a 44 was gone by the time they posted it
EDIT: nvm I found it. The site was a little buggy but I'm in for it
