Under normal operating timeframe (8-10 weeks) I would have jumped on the 24oz offering.

Roman said that production wouldn't start until the LA shop is up. He's hoping to start shipping the 24 oz orders in September

Right now I am of the opinion that only the Japanese brands seem to be able to handle the heavy denims, and quite beautifully at that. Only time will tell, we shall see. Wonder what the price will be on the 24 oz.

I'm going to sit this one out. If its a great pair of jeans and LD is around a year from now, he'll bring the 24oz back. Then if the reviews are good ill jump in.

What are you guys talking about? I saw some kind of Tibetan flag icon with "24 oz" but nothing more than that. Did some offering come and go already?

DD is just saying he'll pass on the first go around and get in on it after all the smoke clears and LD's production proves to be stable.

No, I'm Assuming that the coming offering will be 24oz denim for jeans. If that's true I can see many wanting/backing them regardless of LD currant issues. But for myself I'll be waiting till LD gets it together. But I could be wrong, may be its a 24oz Tibetan Beer Stein

I read something said by Giles a while ago, where very few of the sewers that work for Iron Heart, have the talent to sew their heavy line. I don't believe this is a skill you learn overnight. I take it as a positive though, as I look at it as more funding to assure I receive my order placed 18 weeks ago, and counting.

Four months ago I'd have jumped at the chance to get cheap heavyweight denim, but knowing G's production problems and LD's realistic delivery timescales, I'm out on this one.
I reckon it'll be a year before the dust settles on LD delivery and the lessons learned from their first batch of heavyweight, so maybe then...

I am hoping that Ciano will source the 24 he was hoping for, and then there will be much rejoicing Considering he has been able to make 30oz duck, 24 would be easy peazy..right?

I feel that LD should have superior machinery to tackle 24oz. Gustin has a sewshop with many many problems and has shown sub-par skills. In seams and how the stuff is put together I would bet on LD any day. But I also dont know where the impossible line is drawn in terms of oz.

Depending what the offering looks like, I may be in on the 24oz, I'm just not sure if I want to pay for them now with the full knowledge they're at best about six months out, so I'm likely to hang in there and see what they're doing when I receive my final order (in the one-thousands somewhere). I kind of want to see this LA shop become for real before I invest any more.
Unless it's a spectacular value for these 24oz Supimas, then I might be coaxed to offer a little cash infusion.

I will never buy anything from LD again. They would have to send it free! Roman has proven himself to be on par with a greasy used car salesman. I have never had dealings with a company that treats customers the way LD has.

Nothing yet. Even if what I get is perfect the statement stands. I can not support them on principle. There has been far too much BS surrounding LD. I expect more.

I'm sure there are "worse" companies out there that you support IE: big oil companies, walmart. We don't need to get all holier than thou here. They are a young company. They have some things that they suck at yes 100% that is true. They have issues they need to work at I completely agree. But not to support them on principle is a bit much. It really doesn't appear they are a shady company or immoral. They have kinks and suck at communication and doesn't appear they really know how to run a start up small business.

I don't think it's being holier than thou to expect better than they have exhibited. I have to buy gas. I don't shop at Walmart but just because I don't shop on price alone. Dishonest? It depends on how you define that. In my mind the tag issue was dishonest. The sending of a substitute item (with a note stating they new it was incorrect) and then claiming it was a mistake, is dishonest. The CS tactic of simply telling people what they want to hear, poor business. These are more than hiccups. Roman has had other businesses, not his first rodeo. Will I wear the items I get, yes if they fit. Will I recommend anyone buy from them? Hell no! Maybe I'm old fashioned (I am) but I expect honesty and for people do do what they say they will.

And I've been to Arizona, so that's pretty bad of me.
