Oy, so tempting. I think I'm tapped out for button down oxfords though. How do you like yours bugula? Good enough to see some wear amongst your hoards?

it's too thick/heavy to have worn it yet. it's a slim shirt - will see if my summer working out has helped me fit into it once it gets cooler. we're still in the mid-80s in DC.

unfortunately, the biggest size offered on BOW is a 44 which translates to a 42" P2P. I'd need a 43" P2P minimum. dang a ding dang do

Anyone have any experience with Momotaro's Tight Tapered Fit? I can't seem to find their cobalt weft in any other cut. In fact, I can't find the cobalt weft anywhere but Blue Owl. I'm just thinking the thigh and calf on this cut in a 34 would not work and the 36 would just be silly huge.

Any of you gonna jump on the new BOWxMomotaro type 2 collab? If it was the indigo version I'd probably take the plunge. Still not sold on black denim quite yet

Still not sold on black denim quite yet It is exactly what I've been looking for but these are a recent purchase as well as a pair of Iron Hearts so I can't justify the price as much as I want to.

I assume that most of you have seen this, but if not it is worth the time for a denim head.

Just got the 0305-14 Cobalt Weft from BOW (got tired of waiting for PBJ to restock the XX-018 and Momo is using Zimbabwe cotton and all handmade). Went with a 34 after some discussion with the guys. They are snug right out of the bag but are stretching. Think I'll give them a few months before a soak. Oh, and BOW included this lovely book about Momo.

Those look cool. The waist measurements on BOW's site look wonky though

It doesn't seem to have quite the same pop as pbj, are the pictures of the weft on blue owl pretty accurate or are they a bit more vibrant? Either way, I suppose if you're looking for similar fabric with contrast stitching, momo is the only game in town. Please share pictures some day when you're proud of them.

gaseousclay that's why I asked them to measure all the 34s and 36s they had. They came back with 34 #1 WAIST 34.9" RISE 10.75" THIGH 11.75" KNEE 8.7" INSEAM 35.5" LEG OPENING 7.1" #2 WAIST 34.85" RISE 10.5" THIGH 11.75" KNEE 8.75" INSEAM 35.25" LEG OPENING 7.1" 36 WAIST 36.15" RISE 11" THIGH 12.5" KNEE 9" INSEAM 35" LEG OPENING 7.35" The 36 would just be too huge and wasn't sure a soak would shrink them enough. I went with the 34 #2. The thing to know about this cut is that they are cut fairly slim in the top block (or maybe the squats at boxing are adding some muscle in the seat area). To me they don't seem to have a severe taper in the leg. The fabric feels awesome and the craftsmanship is top notch. I'm glad to have the PBJ XX-010 and these. Makes for a more diverse collection. I'm thinking about the 10th anniversary jeans, but man I don't really need anymore indigo jeans.

The weft does not pop quite as much as PBJs, but you get that fantastic pink stitching on the inseam which is awesome. Sure. Didn't think photos of the jeans brand new would be much different than what BOW has. Once they have some decent fades started, I'll put up some shots. Right now I'm working on my N & F Fire Monkey jeans.

Momo is a subsidiary/affiliate of Japan Blue, if I am recalling things correctly.

A sizing question:
I bought a pair of Tight Straight Momos in Japan, but I haven't really loved the fit - really tight in the top block (figured it'd soften more with wear, I guess), and a fairly wide cuff. Given that - does anyone have experience with the Slim Taper? It seems pretty reasonable that it would be a better fit for me (bit more room at the top, narrower cuff), but each pair I see on Denimio or OD seems to have a slightly different size chart. (FWIW, I'm pretty comfortable with a Gustin 34 slim).

BOW has their newest Momotaro collab denim with the Tokushima overdyed denim. they look cool but those damn battle stripes and the near $500 price tag ruin it.
