Just received an email back from Okayamadenim, and the CS rep said the Momotaro 0702SP BR (Narrow Straights) are in fact Momotaro 0705SP BRs. Very close to pulling the trigger on these, except I'll be on the hook for return shipping to Japan if they don't fit properly, and that's a hefty amount. I'm between size 33 and 34. 33s have a better overall fit except for the waist, but I think I might be able to stretch it a bit if I had to. CS rep said if you're between, go with the higher size, but I'm being stubborn.   |

I've been looking at Momotaro's Chambray WS's. Wanted to get a Green Tea dyed one but couldn't find one in my size. So got a simple indigo one and will put my own sweat, blood and beers on it. I wear a Gustin classic XL and went with a size 44. Fits perfect (will cold hand wash, hope for no shrink). There is a size 46 available. Got it off of Rakutan, Hollo-Win. Ordered it I think last Wednesday, just came in mail today! Initial thoughts. It has what I was looking for -triple needle stitching,chain runoff, gussets, throat latch, one pocket closure. Its a nice lighter Chambray (5oz), good summer work shirt or a winter under layer. Cost $120 shipped. I'm still getting use to paying $100+ and this isn't a heavy denim. So is it worth it? I think so, it's better then the Gap that I have, LD sucks, Gustin hasn't offered any (and theirs is to long), everyone else was $150+. Now the pics (everyone loves pics    |

for those of you that don't already know, BOW is doing a spring cleaning sale of select Momotaro goods, but it may already be picked over since it started 2 days ago. www.blueowl.us/designer/momotaro/nice find. The 0702BR is about $70 cheaper than I remember, but it's too bad they don't have the 0705BR because they fit me better. Just not a huge fan of the going to battle stripes. |

going by their description, i sized down and will just cold wash. it's going to be a bit different than the RgT - looks like a looser technique and obviously it's higher contrast being white/indigo but was really excited to see this pop up today.  |

Successfully enabled. Ordered a 44. I'm a little leery of the shoulder spec. But, if they are recommending a size down, I may be good. With only 28 made, if it doesn't work for me, it may be an easy flip. |

Looking at the site on my computer, there are a million pictures of it and it looks so much more amazing once you see the fabric detail. Button down collar bums me out, though. |

sashiko is so nice. glad to see it coming back. if the fit looks like it'll work for you, i recommend taking a chance just because of the fabric.

Very Nice Fabric!
But why add length to it?
The style, button down, length, one pocket just doesn't do it for me.
That and this stupid 90 day no spend holds me off no matter how nice the fabric is.

According to tracking, I've got a sashiko shirt in Chicago. Say that 10 times fast. Held up in customs. They held on to my Oni's for almost a week, back in March. Hopefully they'll speed up the process this time.
