Aaaand, the stiching around the top button hole is coming off. I'm going to my denim repair guy tomorrow. Hopefully he can fix it. Have folks with similar problems gotten theirs back from CF? Was he able to fix the problem? I'm beginning to wonder if all this is worth it. In my experience it can be all worth it, IF you can get things dialed in. I have a small handful of companies that I know work for me. Every time I try to expand that list it's generally expensive and time consuming. This just comes with the territory of small manufacturing and in my case, sizing outside the normal range.

Also, just to be fair, Houston has had a ton of natural disasters. Fit on these is likely my best pair, so I'm really looking forward to breaking them in. Good news is that this gives me more time to try to get some fades into my stubborn Oni.

It's just painful waiting so long for something and then finding out its out of spec or whatever (my original anniversary pair was 2" under spec in the waist). I'm lucky to have a local denim repair guy that does good work. I don't think I could handle waiting a month for a button hole repair. That being said, it does feel good to support a small manufacturer. It's all cost and benefits, isn't it?

Mine were under spec in the waist and I waited like 4 + months to deal with it because I knew it would take a lot of energy to correct, and it has, both on my part and on CF's part. But they worked with me to get it right, and the thing is, when they do get it right with each of us, it give us an opportunity to dial in our size and buy more from them, and gives them an opportunity for future business. I suspect this new business has been challenging on their end as well since most of their prior business had to do with making work clothes, and now they are attempting to serve a more fashion oriented market. Good times had by all!

My anniversary jeans came back and they fit much better. The previous pair was too small on the waist ,too short on the rise, and too short on the length (my fault in trying to allow for CF to determine vs. me STATING the desired length).
I just dont know if this weight is for me, but I guess I'll give it a try. I'm def. gonna soak to try to get some indigo out, I'm just trying to determine if I want to do it warm or hot.
Whats the shrinking consensus on these? They shrink a lot?
Thanks CF for all your efforts! And thanks SS for putting this together.
So......whats our next group buy?

Hi All We have wanted to do something like this for a while. Many members have asked about it and discussed ideas for a group buy of jeans to help celebrate the forums 1 year anniversary. We, the Mods, like the idea and have started getting some options and numbers together. We want to get an idea of how many would put there money towards a pair. This will help us get the best deal we can. We are looking at a the option of a heavy weight indigo selvedge jean with a custom selvedge Style Forum leather patch. A fabric that will produce nice fades. A few different fit options. Straight, Slim fit. Possible custom option, more money, maybe Skinny? $100-$140 range plus shipping. These will be of a high quality with features we are used to seeing on a selvedge pair of jeans. So please participate in the poll and please do not say you will purchase and then don't when the time comes. We understand if finances change and you can't swing it but we would like this to be fairly accurate. If you have been lurking the forum as a guest and are interested please become a member and join in on the fun and spending. We will leave this open for a week. Thanks your Mods. These are now available to order.$168USD 23oz JPN Limited Edition "SS" BLACK/BLACK PINK Selvage Denim ORDER FORM LINK cfdco1.typeform.com/to/kQoIns $105USD 20oz JPN Limited Edition "SS" Indigo Selvage ORGANIC Denim ORDER FORM LINK cfdco1.typeform.com/to/KdtYsW $95USD 16oz JPN Limited Edition "SS" BLACK/BLACK WHITE Selvage Denim ORDER FORM LINK cfdco1.typeform.com/to/Yel2w1 This is great, but how would they fit? I've noticed that certain selvedge depending on the wash (style, mostly slim fit) can either be a hit or miss for myself.

Here is a link to the fit guide on the website. cianofarmer.com/fitguide.htmlI can't comment on the 3 different fits as I had sent in my favorite fitting pair of jeans to them for a custom fit. Added charge. I ordered the 16oz black and I wore them everyday for about 3 months. Now in rotation. One of my favorite fitting jeans. Give them a try. Feel free to call them with any questions. Great quality at a great price.

I got the 20oz. and I have some good room to shrink. I was futzing around with them last night trying them on and got blue all over my hands. Also, that bottom button is a beeyotch to button when you already have them on you.

That jacket looks outstanding! It is a very nice piece, incredibly well sewn and constructed. And the fabric has this nice insulating property because of the air gap and the two layers it's made of so that it is somewhat wind resistant and it does not conduct the cold like a straight canvas would. I tested it out tonight in 35 degrees, no wind, with an A undershirt and a 5oz G twill on. I was comfortable.

I did a hot soak on my anniversary jeans, no idea how much they shrank, seems to have been at least some. I let them in for about an hour, not a ton of bleeding from the soak.
Wearing them today, breaking them in. They fit pretty well and I'm really digging the cinch back since I won't have to wear a belt with these. I like that feature.

Looking for a little advice. I have a pair of the 20 oz. anniversary indigo denim. The fit is spot on. I'm 10-15 wears in and they are still pretty stiff/uncomfortable. Bending over to put on shoes and socks is painful. I was thinking of doing a cold soak to see if I can get a little starch out and soften them up. My concern with the soak though is shrink. I really don't have a lot to give on this pair. So there's the question...do a cold soak or grit my teeth and "trust the process".

Any shrink you get with a cold soak will stretch back out. The only real risk is inseam, which is my issue with my 20oz. May never wash them.
