I'll play devil's advocate for a moment - are we really doing anything really "signature" if we are merely asking a Ciano or a Manny to just grab a different fabric and plug it into an existing template? Wouldn't it be more intriguing to challenge these guys to come up with something (let's say a shirt or jacket) that has a design spin on it that is different and more unique? I'm not asking them to create something hideous, but I'd like to see if they got something up their sleeves and maybe this anniversary drop is the reason they need to drop it.
As much as I'd like to see them get some love on Heddels for the creation, a lot of it could benefit this forum with an annual "what are those guys at Selvedge Style going to come up with for their anniversary drop" uniqueness.
Just some food for thought.

I've been wearing my anniversary jeans most everyday since they arrived. They are great. I am all for another anniversary item but... The jeans took some work to make happen and had a decent order amount but should have had more participants. Especially being the bang for the buck was there. We need to make sure enough people are really interested in order to do it again.

I'd say something simple T shirt fits that. We're not giving them away, get out of here, you! By the time we get this all hashed out, fabric, style, details, ordering, sewing, shipped it'll be a year.

That's kinda cool. Especially if it's no where near as loosely woven as actual shop rags.

I've come close to ordering one. The lack of a 2nd chest pocket kills it for me. If we could get them to add a 2nd pocket, and a "selvedgestyle" tag, of some sort, I'd back it.

I'd like another color. I wonder what a TShirt in that Material would look/feel like.

Pretty stoked that I just picked up 2 'fit sample' jeans from the Post Office here on the mid-north coast of NSW. I ordered custom made 23oz anniversary jeans w/ many of the bells & whistles/amazing options that CF offered. Looks like one brown canvas + one blue denim (different front rises). Expected a longish production due to my custom order as well as the extreme weather Texas has suffered. Very impressed by the look of the 2 samples. Good things come to those who wait!! Thanks, Ciano!!!

I noticed that Ciano is getting in some 13oz brown selvedge herringbone fabric, which looks like it would make a great work shirt, or Western. I have Gustin jeans in that fabric, could make a suit out of it! Seriously though, yeah it would make a nice workshirt.

Thought I'd wait until the 23oz blacks arrive...super impressed w/ Ciano's determination to produce quality!! I'm hopeless w/ posting photos (& so many other things lol) but, yeah, I'll try to get my son to get it sorted & post 'em up here via instagram in the coming days.

Few pics... Ciano's allowed me to keep the 2 fit sample jeans 'cos he said I shouldn't be burdened w/ the return post cost from Aussie. I've opted for the 'old school' higher front rise (13") over the lower front rise (11"). Again, so impressed by Ciano's efforts/approach!!! www.instagram.com/highlightsetc/

Mine came in a size small, I had switched from a 31 to a 32 early on which was confirmed. I've been e-mailing them, at first he told me to sit tight but now I'm having trouble getting a hold of him. I measured them thinking maybe I could make them work but they hit 16" across the waist, I don't think I'm fitting into a true 32 inch waist anytime soon, a 34 (listed size) I might manage. Sorry for the vent, I love buying American and MTO but there are definitely downsides.

Wait until you get them on and the button holes all fall apart. Still need to fix mine.

Wait until you get them on and the button holes all fall apart. Still need to fix mine. As I mentioned I have been wearing mine since I received them and they are built like a tank. Send them back as they made an error which can happen. They will come back all better.

Anyone been wearing these much? I'm getting my replacement pair from Ciano soon (original pair was too small in the waist) and I'm looking forward to breaking them in.

I need to call him to get the button fly repaired, but looking forward to wearing them soon. Only worn them three times so far, but they're already throwing off indigo and showing some early fades.

Just received my Anniversary custom black23's. These jeans are amazingly well constructed; crotch reinforcement, taped seams, lined box, fine hardware & the patch is THICK!!! The denim feels great - soft for its weight. The olive thread, surprisingly, sits quietly against the black. Sadly, I packed on 10-12kgs so my son is wearing them in & may well end up keepin' 'em. We'll see - back to the swimming soon. lol. Thanks to Ciano - really fine jeans!!! (Post pics bit later)

Yes the patch is a nice chunk of leather. I need to post some pics of mine with some wear and the patch turning a nice dark brown.

I wore my 20 oz indigos for a little while this weekend. The fit is awesome. They're very stiff. They're going to take some work to break in, but I'll trust the process. The top button snapped off the other day, but my local denim repair guy was able to replace it with a burlier button no problem. Given the construction quality on these I was a little surprised by the wimpy top button hardware. Oh well. I got my CF ochre chinos chainstich hemmed while I was there too.
I love the denim. Neppy, hairy, all the crap the denim nerds love.

My re-done pair should be shipping next week.
I had CF cut me a 37 which is not on the charts but they said they can do.

Aaaand, the stiching around the top button hole is coming off. I'm going to my denim repair guy tomorrow. Hopefully he can fix it. Have folks with similar problems gotten theirs back from CF? Was he able to fix the problem?
I'm beginning to wonder if all this is worth it.

Mine are at Ciano for the repair, been a lit over a month. If they'd been lighter denim, I'd have done it myself, but then they probably wouldn't have failed in the first place.
