Good on Gustin for, once again, owning the problem. This is something that has truly been consistent from beginning to end.. fair response to customer concerns. Actually.. I don't think I've ever heard of anybody that has had a disappointing experience with customer service, except for some grumblings about a new employee that I haven't personally experienced.

Yeah, I'm kinda bummed with the G trashing over at their own place. It's one thing to not like what they're putting out and call them on plagiarizing where appropriate, it's another thing to bash a company because you're not aligned with their direciton and that's handled service in a good manner.

Even the blow out it self is rare. I've only read a few post of stitching problems. After thousands of jeans being sent out they all seem to be holding up pritty good.

Yea I'm not miffed at all, it's a slight annoyance. These are my third pair of G's and I'm been more than satisfied up till now. I'm just glad they're being nice about it.

If you're shipping them to SF, they will be sent to ABFits (most likely) for repairs. I shipped 4 pairs of mine there for hemming and I was very pleased with the open communication and reasonable turnaround (2 weeks door to door). Gustin has a working relationship with them- assuming they go there and not back to the sew shop where the G's are made. Either way, very nice of them to take care of this!

It's been a week since the questions were submitted to Cody - any answers received?
Hopefully Cody isn't the first reported case of ebola in San Francisco...although if he's feeling better, I'm sure he's celebrating the Giants World Series win.

I've only seen issues today with the stock store. I've not had issues with access to the community, but I'm not seeing the stock items that others are claiming to see. I believe all of that is more IT driven than anything more.

Winterland - by CodyThompson
Hey guys, currently I'm using the stock store on a limited access basis to help with exchanges. It has nothing to do with who I like and who I don't. If you could avoid posting direct links that would make my life easier. We will still have public access days as well. If posting the direct links to access the pages interrupts the exchange process, I might have to make those lockable as well. Help me out here?

I think he was speaking of only the Stock Page. Be hasn't posted anything about the community forum (that I've seen) Yes they are letting people use the stock store to pick out items as replacements. They are not picking and choosing who uses the actual forum. At least that was never said. Just didn't want people to get mislead.

I think It's a good idea personally...to give folks access for exchanges first, before the stock gets gets cleaned out, so that they have more of a choice...idk, it seems fair to me

I think this is a fair and efficient way of handling exchanges using an existing feature that is slightly clumsy in its new employment. I think they could have avoided a lot of conspiracy theories and consternation if they had just said this up front, or told the people getting exchanges to keep their mouths shut.

it's more than that though...i'm not doing an exchange and have had full access.
i'm not sure if it's folks who have been given recent credit or what, but they've got some flag set that when a condition is met, the user can access stock.

I was given credit about a week and a half ago and do not have access. I was asked if I'd like an exchange and told them to just give me credit. I think it's a selective filter, rather than logic based.

I think it's just that they don't have an IT professional maintaining and monitoring their site. They are probably doing it themselves with little to no professional knowledge or standardization in place.

Thats why I think there is more to the story. Yes I am sure people with credit likely have access but has anyone actually said they were told by G to check the stock page as it is now available to their ip address? I just dont buy it

Yes I was told about the stock store after a return. I believe they have the best intentions with the stock store. I sent angry messages when they went public with it after giving me almost $300 in credit and no warning that it would be public the next day. Untucked is probably right - they are just inept at this.

there has to be something specific in their logic to say, "you, you can see this page, and you, you cannot." administratively, it's untenable for there to be a manual selection as much as the conspiracy theorists would like to believe that's the case.

Excellent point Wisdom, however, keeping people quiet about it seems to be a loosing proposition. I was one of the first to be sent the link, and they asked that we not share the link. (we all saw what happened there) It was sent to drum up some business I believe, because somewhere in the ...address? It said : "doesn't have a shirt" and indeed, I haven't backed a shirt. Within hours, other people were posting the link on the forum. In all fairness, I think some people found the store by doing a simple google search for Gustin, and didn't know it was hush hush. Based on that experience, I can see them shuttering the public access to the store, and only allowing it on certain days, as Cody said he would
