Someone should invite him to join this forum.. NOOOO!!! H-G is the closest to Yeckel in that they harp on and on and on and on and on about the same thing, even if they haven't experienced it firsthand. Yeckel did have a legitimate issue with a bag, but like Roman's unhappy Yelper, wouldn't let it go and nothing to a point would have made him happy. But...his whining about everything else, random non sequiturs, irrelevant rants, links, and name dropping of 'famous' denim folk...all combined to make Yeckel 'Yeckel'. No one here has yet been able to duplicate that (thankfully). That. He drove me nuts. It was like having Rain Man here...or Forrest Gump. Likely a mix of the two gene pools.

I think he might be busy brushing up on his English, and spelling.

I'm shocked Gustin is allowing the community chat to become the clusterf!@k it is without a single statement. They're probably not overly bothered... yet. All the campaigns still seem to fund, they're churning out more items than ever, the Stock area proved they can shift significant product within a couple of days. They seem to be having a good time with it all, still, and also will have factored in that it'll work in waves for them. The first and second waves have now likely bought (more than) enough pairs of jeans to keep them happy for a while, many years in some cases. As others have said, what can they even say or do? Short of completely changing the sew shop - which may not even be a viable proposition due to contracts - there's actually very little they can do. Also, as has become obvious, plenty of people are simply swallowing all the various faults, which would make it tough for Gustin to really lay into the sew company. They'd ask to see all the returned faulty pairs and Gustin would have to sheepishly tell them there aren't any/many. That leaves Gustin in a very tricky negotiating position.

I have asked Cody to come on here and do a question and answer type of interview. He did say he would come on. I would think it could be a help to the concerns people have. He hasn't gotten back to me with a date/time to do it. Have emailed him a couple times. Don't really want to ask about that on their forum. As you can see I did bring up the overall concern on the G forum.

This Barnaby v. Julian lovers' spat over on the forum is getting pretty feisty... I could have photographed every pair I own and he'd have said the sample size was too small, that much was always going to be the case. It's weird, the Gustin hems I posted are so wonky it's actually amusing, yet the guy seems to be saying you're a dick if you have a problem with what is a very obvious... problem.

The top pair (bottom of photo) hem doesn't look straight at all.

And like you, I'm not much to care about how straight or wonky the hem is with respect to whether or not I'm going to wear my jeans, but it is indicative of a (growing) problem, particularly as Gustin increase their prices.

I would rather spend my energy to my new interest instead of looking back on things that I really don't care anymore.

The top pair (bottom of photo) hem doesn't look straight at all. looks like the seam curves appropriately with the arc of the fabric i honestly didn't pay much attention to my hems specifically as they've all been shortened / re-chainstitched

For me fellas, I'm not going to bitch and moan over minor sewing imperfections. Not blatant crap, but minor. When I get hand made items, I expect a certain level of that, and actually, I adore it. All my Chinese factory stuff is "perfect". BFD - I want something unique and made by people that have skills and even better if it's here in the USA.

Because "Chinese stuff" are being made by young Chinese girls with great eye sight plus very tight QC process. The "Made in US" one are being made by some old Chinese ladies from Chinatown with no QC process. That is the difference.

As a forum though we think it would be valuable to have company representatives on here for a discussion. There could be great information exchanged that could benefit us and them.

Came back from the meeting and finally read Cody comments on G-forum.... wow... reading between the lines (actually only three lines there) translation: "I don't fxxxing care".

Well this sucks to see you all have to think of me as some downhill trend with the brand. I always wanted to be the uphill push to make it even better but my overzealous nature tends to get the best of me. Yes, working on the grammar and pacing of sentences, tis the devil. Hope you all getting this together and showing the love for the brand even more then I, will get them to wake up to it. Think those hems are bad.. i.imgur.com/jK9w63J.jpg
