Love the boots but damn, why is it so hard for people to make a 2E in something? Just make a few of them or have them available as a custom order. It's not that difficult. given that these guys are on their second run of boots ever, it's probably fair to say that adding another range of boots is outside of their ability right now. The bigger established brands, yes, it's not that difficult for them to have custom orders available. These guys would have to put in an order, for which there is a minimum size, with their manufacturer to make a run of boots in that size. That's why it's so hard.

I don't think it would be totally out of line to pick one color/style and product a 2E in limited quantity though. They would sell. My comment was more general in nature. As someone with a wide foot, it is very hard and frustrating to find a good pair of shoes. Most companies don't make a wide width, and the ones that do have a very limited selection. I hope Thursday delves into wide widths, but I'd be shocked if they did.

I've never been a big fan of Thursday's offerings. The ones i've held in person just haven't felt like they standout against any department store offering. But it's interesting that someone who takes pictures of themselves wearing clothes has been able to turn a paid advertisement gig into now having their own signature boot. I will say, i have always liked Brent's style and his instagram posts, while very repetitive, are always very well curated. His boot does look good, even with the spanish heel. thursdayboots.com/products/mens-vanguard-boot-whaley?collection=mens-new-arrivals

I have mixed feelings on the whole getting paid to advertise gig on IG. On the one hand, if you can luck yourself into something like that then it's a good thing, especially if you're making some serious dough. But, I think the waters get muddied sometimes when an IG user starts shilling brands that are complete garbage because they got paid to do so. It's a mixed bag. When I was on IG very briefly it seemed to be mostly dudes who posted pics of brands that they loved and personally wore. Nowadays every Tom, Dick and Harry posts the same feed of the same brands doing the same staged poses. Don't get me wrong, IG is a great platform for businesses to showcase product and advertise, and i've certainly come across a lot of cool stuff, but the sales aspect kills it for me sometimes.

I think the unfortunate thing is that it takes away that person's ability to give honest feedback on a brand. Very early on you could exchange comments with some of these users and really gain some insight on the quality and fit of a certain brand or item. Now that they're clearly in bed with a brand those opinions are gone and now it's just "great boots, go buy some!"
You can scroll back through certain users feeds and find when they were wearing a much higher quality items and now those pieces are nowhere to be found. But hey, if it's how you earn your living i can't fault it.

I do still browse IG when checking out brands I like, so it's not completely unproductive. I think i've just become cynical with the whole thing. There are plenty of IG users that have cool content and still post out of the love of denim/boots/leather, it's just that when it becomes monetised it takes something away imo.
I've mentioned before that Corey Mahlke has an awesome IG page. His posts are always unique and he infuses humour with everything, so I don't feel like he regurgitates stuff like so many others do.

TBC Used to have a seconds page. Anyone know if it’s still used and how to access?
