Cost me $8 to have it fixed Excellent use of money. Unfortunately I can't move mine without making them unaligned to the backing pattern. I may jettison the right one, but it's got the pen pocket, so it will probably stay.

I may jettison the right one, but it's got the pen pocket, so it will probably stay. I just checked my buffalo check Moto from last year. The pocket flap is sewn on higher, which skews it at the top but the pockets themselves are sewn on the correct alignment and match up across the bottom.

Only thing I'm waiting on from TS is the reverse jacquard jack. True, it's not MiUSA, but the pattern/weave is bonkers. Bonkers being a good thing.

Up close it looks like navy, but the weave at a distance gives it a steel or gray-blue look. Seems like a more closely spaced pattern than the indigo star utility shirt they ran a couple years ago.

Was a little worried. But they pulled through! Got mine today. The pictures do not do it justice as they do not show that burgundy thread and how that helps the whole fabric composition. I'd like to own more shirts of this type. I have an INdigofera shirt that is similar as this but not quite as pretty.

But once it was out, I like it a lot more. Wore it yesterday, it's a little crunchier than my softer, earlier run black one. But it's a cool material, definitely a nice shirt. Happy with this one, just hard to jive it with their Chinese offerings.

Yeah, I've got an oversupply of gin and whiskey. I'm making it work.

So with the $30 credit from Black Friday (I think) and now $15 for taking their brand feedback survey I've now got $45 in TS credits. I think I'm good on their shirts and various pants right now. Any idea what I should hold out and wait for? I had thought about maybe a Rover jacket or some kind of outerwear.

Great fabrics and design other than the length.

really!? so less parka length than they appear?
thankfully this isn't burning a hole in my pocket.
Also, if anyone else gets the email for the brand feedback survey, take it. It's an opportunity to really tell TS how you feel about their recent trends to overseas production and "transparency" or lack thereof regarding it.

Guess unsubscribing from their emails will prevent me from blasting their manufacturing moves. Oh well, so will not giving them money.

I've taken 2 surveys, so I'm sitting on 2x$15 credits. I made it a point to compliment the MiUSA content and select all relevant answers that reinforce that point. In the open answer space, I made it a point to praise their Made in California content, while also telling them that I have no interest in another manufacturer farming business to China. I told them I'd be more impressed by their company if they leveraged production in cheaper parts of the US too. Not that it's likely, but reinforcing that I'm not a fan of MiC or MiP.

I'll be curious to see how long TS leaves the promo code open for this. Reddit got ahold of it and people have been using it a lot more than they were probably expecting.

I do like their Long Haul Jacket. Have the Washed Olive Duck version and had to size up to a 44 from my usual 42 in TS sizing. It's become my go-to jacket. Thick, but drapes well and isn't too short as truckers generally are. Not much love for the waxed canvas versions. They are relatively thin and waxed canvas doesn't do much for me in Southern California other than make me sweat. Currently in their Last Call section for $129.

I once bought a rubber jacket for rain popping up on bike trips. Every time I put a waxed jacket on, I'm reminded of that stupid steam factory.

Regarding weatherproofing capability, not so much. I overheat quickly, so if I have a t-shirt on, waxed canvas feels clammy on my skin. A long sleeve just leads to more heat building up. I'll take my 15-year-old Patagucci rain jacket or a softshell for the breathability. I suppose the appeal lies in the fabric aging the same way one would get fades from indigo. I can see the appeal, but maybe I've read too many Gustin descriptions.

I had researched this when I became aware of BarboVr and found out all it does is trap moisture and that you can only spot clean it. I have no use for that, not working on a whaling ship.

This isn't specifically about TS, but I just found out Ibex clothing went under. Several years ago when I first got interested in MiUSA clothing, I bought a fair amount of stuff from them, much of it I continue to wear and enjoy. They were kind of on the leading edge of using wool for active wear. When I first became aware of the brand almost all their stuff was made in USA out of New Zealand sourced Merino wool. Over the years, less and less of their stuff was made in USA and my interest in the brand flagged. Now I'm not saying their choice to outsource their manufacturing led to them going under, but they certainly lost at least one customer. Gosh, I wonder if there are any other companies like that?

And to continue on this rant: I have bought a ton of MiUSA clothing and will continue to do so but I still cannot fathom how JCR*W can figure it out and so many of these MiUSA places are all over the board on fit. Apparently JCR*W may be going under soon, further limiting my choices and Gustin changed their pattern as well so that shirting ship has sailed for me oh and Freenote also changed their pattern so I cant buy their shirts any longer. This leaves me with TS and ...... Ratio. On the TS front, I fully expect to have to exchange my MOTO replacement shirt for credit. At least TS mechanic and whatever the OCBD pattern is called are pretty consistent.

Exactly. Filson, Pendleton and countless others have tried it and bled sales. Stupid move stragecially, even if it props them up in the short term.
