Not sure how these don't have a thread but here we go. Just grabbed some off of Rodeo Bros, I love them. They're beautiful. The thighs are slim though so I sized up to a 34 and assumed no waist stretch. My 643sr's unsanforized don't stretch much in the waist (the fabric is bomber heavy but feels so nice) so I figured the 21oz Sanforized fabric of the 666s would be pretty stout as well. No fit pics yet and mod feel free to combine this with another thread if I missed the Devil's cut thread..... The 634s got tapered at railcar but are still roomy and are used as motorcycle jeans with second skin kevlar armor underneath. The 666s are just for being a cool motherf#cker Every time I buy an IH product I get so impressed with the 100% spot on everything. Good stuff.

As in the 21/23oz 634s unsanforized? Those things look gorgeous and are on my hit list. I'll probably cop them next before I get the Flat Head 3009. Glad you like the 21oz sanforized fabric. I freaking love it. So soft and comfortable for 21oz with a nice off white almost beige weft.

Btw, I think we have a thread for the 634s 21oz already which is the same fabric as the 666s 21oz, but I think it makes sense to keep the threads separate since they are different cuts.

The fabric is insane, they were SO stiff after a warm soak, total stovepipe legs standup jeans. After a couple days though they have the classic IH feel, just big ropey strands and soft where they see contact and flex. The cut is seriously old school straight cut American jeans though, it was too much for me. I posted up about them someplace (probably the general area) with sizing pre/post soak. I had to get them tapered, I was swimming in them but the waist was dead nuts perfect. Not much fading yet but that's because I took my overdyed Pima Fires on as a summer project. I've got IH, PBJ, Oni....and I'm beating up some Gustins instead lol.... When they come back around, get them. You'll love them. One note, expect about 30 degrees of leg twist. mine both went "inward" but it can vary from what I've seen online. And hell yeah on the 21oz....more perfect stuff

I've been wanting those for a while but I couldn't find them anywhere other than IHUK so I've been hesitant to pull the trigger at that price. Did you cop them off Rodeo Bros somewhere? Yeah that classic old school american straight fit youre talking about is the 634 cut and it's the type of fit I love. When I get them I'll get a size 33. What size did you go with?

@stevekas so let me get this right. The 666 is a better cut (for you) because it's not as strait leg, has a taper.? I'm trying to dial in my last pair of blue jeans.

Oh no man, I never had them for sale, hell no lol, I just posted up about buying them someplace here. I knew the fit probably wouldn't work for me but I wanted that fabric and waned some room to fit bike armor underwear inside of them. I knew Railcar would nail the taper. I *think* I got them from Rodeo Bros but I do remember they went FAST. I'll check my old posts and send you a link.....or try to search it out if you're bored. It's been since early spring or so.

DigDug, the 666 is a better cut for me for general wear. Keep in mind, some here have accused me of bordering on nut hugger territory lol. The 634sr's as they fit after shrink would be loose on Ickes after 100 leg days in a row, the fit did not work for me, but my intention was to make them work as motorcycle jeans, so I had Railcar taper them into something a lot less slim (to fit bumpy armor under) than the 666 but not as loose as the original 634sr I'll post comparison fit pics in a few days after I get all these belts etc done. exophobe, for sure man. I'll post up the Pima Fires this fall, they're truly interesting now with fades coming in and the Kakishibu. I never hated them (some do) I just didn't love them. Now after the overdye and some wear I think they're on the way to being my go to light weight pair. Here's a teaser pic. This is the top of the thigh. You can see the vertical slub is fading well, the Kakishibu has rubbed off the warp on the thighs but is still toning the weft down to beige. The darker parts of the jean look really cool, inky indigo, brown cast and some sharp blue fade. The things are the most uniform part but that's all I've got pics of. The fabric is pajama soft and is getting fades from the bottom of the pocket bags. These things are as close to soft broken in chinos as denim gets comfort wise. (full sun potato cam pic)

IH-666s-21 is what I just got back tapered from Railcar. I wore them yesterday for the first time since getting them back, and I'm wearing them today. The softness is really growing on me. I'm digging 'em. I hear they are hard faders, but I dig em a lot now that they are tapered to exactly how I like 'em. Here's how I changed them:
Thigh: 12 in. (from 12.5) Knee: 9 in. (from 9.1, though mine measured 9.3 when I got them) Hem: 8 in. (from 8.5, though mine measured 8.6+) Length: 33.5 in. (from 36)
Now they're perfect!

ickes, we started talking IH 634sr on page 25 of the general IH thread, then on page 42 I posted up info on pre and post Railcar mod sizing. I never posted pic though, so I suck.

While it does have a 0.5" (smaller) difference from knee to hem, translated to actual body shape this means the lower leg/hem visually appears slightly wider than the knee. Thing is, they're a slim fit to start with so it works, IMO. My pair has a 32" waist and the hem measures at 8" exactly. Kind of at the limit that I prefer but they work brilliantly with both boots and trainers (not that I wear the latter with them very often). Still one of the best fits I've found.

This is also why I tapered mine. But A LOOOOT of people love this cut. I'm likely an outlier.

My 666xhs are at rail car now. Having them hemmed and tapered. Changing the cuff to 8.5". Hope it's just enough to keep the cuff from looking larger than the knee. I do really like the cut.

But A LOOOOT of people love this cut. I'm likely an outlier. All depends on the wearer's body shape (as always) but I think the reason so many people like the cut is because - if it works for you - it's just so damn flattering. I consider myself in fairly good shape, but whenever I pull on the 666 they just give an excellent silhouette (sorry for the trainer vernacular, couldn't think of a more appropriate word).

julian - how is the silouette compared to G slims? Similar with a larger leg opening but still what you would consider a slim jean?

julian - how is the silouette compared to G slims? Similar with a larger leg opening but still what you would consider a slim jean? Given that all my Gustin Slims fit slightly differently, it's hard to say with any real certainty... but, generally, I'd say the 666 is slimmer from the top box to just above the knee and then slightly wider from the knee to hem. I'd definitely call them slim, but can see why people at the bigger waist sizes prefer to taper them.

I'd definitely call them slim, but can see why people at the bigger waist sizes prefer to taper them. I'm in that group. With a 32-33" waist, and disproportionately large glutes and thighs it just doesn't work for me since I have to size up for comfort... I could get a 32-33 and fight with them for 1-2 months in a stretch battle, but I'm not that guy. Especially knowing that it only gets worse after a wash/dry.

I nabbed this pair from ebay..... IH-666SIII had no I/I in my closet. The only thing close are my 3sixteen shadow, and they're tonal. After getting the 19oz Lefties, I knew the 666 cut was for me. So, all around, these ought to make for a great alternative. Surfing the web, I could only find them on IHUK, and Pronto. IHUK price is $350. So, the $200 price tag from ebay makes it even better. Edit: I was really surprised, I was the only bidder.

But, that camping trip was merely a short vacation. That contrast pops nicely. It's a shame there aren't more options out there.
