A profile shot.. a contrast tongue would have been perfect on these... Good point. What leather? Brown dress?

Iono for some reason i like the kudu with a commando or even christy sole.
I want to try the wide last now to see if that is what I should be getting from them.
Overall, the boots I got are good but I think they helped a lot of the reddit/SF people with issues better than me. So it makes its hard for me to pull the trigger for another MTO. I might just wait to see what other RTS products they make that interest me.

These teak waxy mohawks are pretty sweet but probably fall under the same rule as the grey in terms of getting all dirty. To clarify, with this sort of finish I don't really think there is a way to "clean" them up. OP is on GYW.

Agreed, outside of classic Indy's, the only boots I've seen that justify the price over RW/Wolvi.
Oops, forgot about @untucked's Roleclubs. Those are tits.

Any real world experience with those by forum members? I believe these are generally held in lower regard in terms of value and quality. If you want to learn about boots start spending time on reddit goodyearwelt and styleforum. All you ever need to know about boots and more are over there.

I'm not sure I need another avocation though. I'll stick with my RW Beckmans.

I have no idea how to address this except to say that I hope this post does not dissuade those who are interested in boots from exploring options beyond Alden and Truman. FWIW, for the same money as Truman's I'm buying Whites every time as Whites is established, fully customizable, and has multiple lasts to fit most foot shape and size needs, but most importantly, I already know that the fit is excellent for my feet and my preferences. I like what Truman is doing and have been tempted to buy a pair over the past several years but at this point it's like rolling the dice for me as I have not yet tried on a pair.

I'm sure Whites and Wescos are nice and are clearly well made, but the style just leaves me cold. And if my cranky old opinions are really influencing anyone, they're in trouble. I saw a lumberjack IH shirt yesterday, I clearly didn't persuade that guy to avoid IH.

I wear CT70's six days out of the week. A Dainite sole lasts me about a decade. I know real work boots have an audience, it's just not me. I buy on style and horse content (just not Alden's shiny ass horse).

Edit: I will admit being a bit facetious, here. But, it makes my point.

Plus I like that Truman seems to rankle the pretentious git at Viberg so easily. Surrender pronto or we'll level Toronto.

Just for informative purposes, Nick's has new ownership now, and there have been a lot of changes in how they operate, and the current wait times are something like 6 mos. They were on a list of consideration for me, but not so much anymore. There usually is something lost in these kind of transactions.

I need to update this thread with pics of my natural dublins as its been almost a year since I have been wearing them.
My impression, I think I need the wide/looser instep for my foot personally to feel more comfortable. I generally wear mine with thin socks to lightweight as it helps relieve the instep pressure after a long day of walking.
I think I didn't care for my boots as well as I should have, but I used Bick 4 (only conditioning since 4/16 till now) and started brushing it now before/after I wear which seems to keep leather healthier.
