unnamed I've been checking them out for a little while now. It seems like a really cool company. They only have one basic pattern for making boots, but they will make them out of any leather they can get their hands on. I've been thinking about sending them a note to see if they've made any shell boots yet and find out how much they'd be but just haven't gotten around to it yet.

I like the looks of their stuff. There's a Viberg silhouette about them that look good, minus the Viberg prices. Wouldn't mind a pair but I have no anecdotal info as to how their boots fit

ordered a pair of boots last night. i had been waffling about what i wanted since sending my aldens back a few months ago. was trying to decide between white's, nick's, and trumans. vince posted last night that he would no longer be doing made to order boots after mid-january...which pushed me over the edge to order.
ended up ordering: black waxed flesh structured plain toe standard dainite sole
the wait will be a bit rough...i should have ordered a month or so ago when the wait was still 6-8 wks vs the current 8-12

I'd still like a pair of the moc toe boots that Nick's offered up for sale on instagram. don't think they sell them anymore

I was considering a boot around the $500 range, and the Truman boot is definitely at the top of that list. If I can sell a few RWs I have, I might pull the trigger on a pair. Let us know how they turn out!

I also have the 6" Moc Toe boots in Briar Oil Slick and Beckman Black Cherry Featherstone in 11D.

Did your feet diet?! Mocs are 11's? The Becks are my size, but I need an inclement weather boot and that sole won't cut it.

I wore Beckmans last winter and I was ice skating.

Most manufacturers of workboots, unfortunately, do not. I wear my sorels or tretorn skymra mid gtx when it gets snowy. Those Trumans sound great, @david . I look forward to pictures in March or April.

"vince posted last night that he would no longer be doing made to order boots after mid-january...which pushed me over the edge to order."
Ok so help me out, what is he going to be doing then? Only stock makes?
I almost bought a pair of these but decided that I would go with a know quantity. I initially found out about Waxed Flesh from the SF group buy on Vibergs.
Not wanting to pay $800 for a pair of boots I found the Trumans and was very excited. But then I found out that I could special order Waxed Flesh from Nick's using a last that my Whites Semi-Dress use and I ordered those.
I wear a C, and Truman said he was willing to try but at that point I don't think he had done many in non-standard widths.
Anyways, my Nicks will have a commando sole and I specifically ordered them for Winter and wet wear since keeping the waxed flesh 'waxed' should keep the moisture out of them and the commando sole should provide some grip.
If anyone has any tips on product or technique for keeping the waxed flesh in working order I'd be happy to read about it. I did contact Horween and they replied but not in a helpful manner.
I do really like the look of Iron Rangers but want to write a scathing letter to Red Wing. I mean WTF guys, lets make semi serious work boots with NO TREAD! I get that maybe the "heritage" was they didn't have soles with tread at the time but come on. Now I have seen several one offs of IR's that have tread, but it's ridiculous that it's not an option stock.

No minimum quantity.
I worked with Kyle at Bakers. He helped me with my Whites and is the best way to go for buying Whites or Nicks. There are Nicks options that you need to work with an agent in order to configure like the Waxed Flesh which I was shocked to learn I could purchase.
Whites does not use that leather for some reason but Nicks will.

I settled on the Brown. I did think about the Black but decided I liked the brown a little better.
I don't know if they have the options, if they can get brown they can get black as they are both coming from Horween.
The latest update is maybe here end of January? I ordered them like 13 weeks ago. I know there was a "smoke jumper" production backup in the fall and Nicks was moving to a new factory so production there has been a little slower than normal.

Truman wants to put me in a 9e, but that's what I wear in sneakers. I'm an 8 in IRs, Danner etc
