You can throw Nick's into this category, for me, as well. Just for informative purposes, Nick's has new ownership now, and there have been a lot of changes in how they operate, and the current wait times are something like 6 mos. They were on a list of consideration for me, but not so much anymore. There usually is something lost in these kind of transactions. Is it new ownership? I know they moved production facilities, and yeah, going on over 18 months or so with > 6 month waits. |

While the quality is there, I was born and raised in the Midwest, and have no affinity towards the PNW aesthetic. I realize they all have service boot options. But, the way I see it, their primary designs are the climber/hiker/logger/smokejumper, and some of that design inherently made it's way into their service boots. They simply don't look quite right, to me. |

But he did help me purchase a barely used pair of shell Trickers boots for half of retail so I'm thankful for that. /horsebut |

The arch support is no joke, but that is beyond aesthetics. Now if you will excuse me I have to go buy another button tool for my button boots as I lost that damn thing again1  |

Style and tastes change. I'm no longer into Alden Indy boots like I used to be, and if I get another pair of Aldens, it'll probably be their tankers, either suede (hunting green/snuff) or color #8 shell.
On a related note to this thread, I was able to buy the Truman Boots in navy shell from another person, and I'm waiting patiently on those to come in.
