Well I just signed up again for his site so maybe I'll get updates this time. That is a much nicer color than the Polo Brown and an interesting leather. I like your config except for the speedhooks. How long till you get them? I have Whites, Nicks, and Trickers at the moment. Want a pair of Trumans and will probably end up with some Aldens and Wesco's in the future. I defenitly want another pair of Whites, love the SD last. I only was able to snag them because I happened to be surfing Instagram. I'm hoping maybe seven weeks. The CS rep didn't really say what expedited means. My Alden Ironsides don't have speed hooks and I really miss them. SaveSaveI think I'm going to sell my Alden Ironsides and spring for these as my first Truman boot: Only thing is, I'm in contact with Truman directly on making an MTO of that, but with speed hooks/commando soles or mini eyelets/mini ripple soles.

"mini eyelets/mini ripple soles." Never saw that config before. I know what a ripple sole is but whats a mini ripple? Looking at that pic again, I think it would be cool if the 270 stitchdown was black thread. I tried to get White's to do that for me but they refused saying that thread was only used on firefighter boots. I like the idea because then the eye is not drawn to the dirty white thread and one can apply polish, conditioner etc, without worry of having to clean the white threads.

SO game over viberg bro game over.

That's pretty much exactly what I asked for, except for the miniripple I wanted in white.

Hmm. Those are pretty cool, but I think I like the look of the leather more than the sole but I could probably talk myself into those because it's a pretty different makeup.

northcoast I liked the leather portion of the sole as well. Not sure if I would rock the mini ripple though as I'm more inclined for workwear. They are also doing a new heel style too if I read right. I do want to try the LH or a christy sole next. Just need to wear my boots more to see if I needed to actually get my next pair stretched out or wait for an even wider last or size up to a 10.

Finally ! Tracking info received for my Marrone HH. I inquired about their status at the 8 week mark. At that time, they were dealing with a delay from the tannery. I was told they would be a few more weeks. I suspect the move to Colorado played a role, as well. All told, it's been 14 weeks + 2 days since I ordered. If they're as good as I expect, the wait will be worth it. I wasn't planning to wear them much until fall, anyway.

Newly arrived Janus Butt Roughout in Moracca. Got a size 10 and they fit perfectly. One minor blemish on a pull tab that looks like some sort of adhesive, but flawless otherwise.

Isn't Janus the two faced god? How does he have a butt?

Isn't Janus the two faced god? How does he have a butt? Are you making the assumption that the second face has to be on the ass?

Clearly I was mislead. There appears to be a (pardon the pun) Butt Face. Carry on. That's some crappy (again with the puns) planning on supposed god planning. No wonder things didn't work out.

Truman boots in Amaretto horse hide.. The leather is amazing and the construction is really good.....still deciding if I am going to keep them as I just have too many boots.. I went TTS on these and that worked for me.. For the laces, what do you like.. flat or round?

@mowgli - I prefer round laces, but the flat ones on those boots are making me rethink my preference. They look like keepers unless they're too close in color to something you already have or don't fit right.

Another flat lace vote. Boots look fantastic. Honestly, it's put me into a tailspin of reassessing all of the decisions I've made in my adult life. A truly crippling realization.
