drewcandraw, got mine yesterday. So about 15 weeks for me. Oddly, the shoe box arrived with no top. Maybe they ran out, or just forgot. No bags either. That said, they are beautiful boots. You definitely get a very solid boot for the money in comparison to other brands. I got the fit just right based on Vince's advice. And these run a bit narrow which is exactly what I need. So we'll see how these hold up over time, but initial impression is very positive. (The Dublin leather had the same scratches and marks that the other customer reported on Reddit, so I take that to be the nature of that particular leather.) Will be imterested in your thoughts.

Wat..what would keep the boots from bouncing around and getting scuffed in the box it comes in without bags or top.

The no box top is kinda weird it's like buying shoes from the outlets. I'm hoping mine doesn't come like that as Vince will get a call from me. Cause if your paying $500 I expect at least a complete box right.... Mine should be here on Friday so I'll chime in then.

I'd be a bit miffed if mine arrived sans box lid only because it seems so random and rushed. But then I'd just throw the rest of the box away just like I'd have done had the entire box been there. I'd almost rather not have the inner box to deal with at all. If they get a bit of tissue they're no more likely to get scuffed in a shipping box than they are a box inside of that box. The tote is the best of both worlds, but more to just have the tote since it is just folded up in the box.

Truman Boot Co said back in Jan that they were going to stop doing MTO, but that never seemed to happen. It made me rush my decision for no reason. Felt like a bit of a bait and switch. Then the leather was back-ordered even though it was listed as in stock on the site. And finally the shipping was sloppy. All that said, the boots themselves are very nice and they fit great.

TTS to brannock? Which shoe/boot would you say this fit similarly to?

Here's a review and album on the Undyed Veg-Tans. They're gonna look amazing when they start aging.

These were 10.5. I'm a 10 in the Oak Street trench boots and 9.5 in Chippewa. So they do seem to run smaller than most boots out there. Said another way, they're the same size that I wear in running shoes.

got an email from Charles at Truman and he was saying they switched from totes to shoeboxes because of an overwhelming request for it at the local retail shops they sold at. He said he will try scrounging one for me if I really wanted it.

Getting the instep stretched on mine, just dropped them off at the cobbler. Went for 9.5 in Trumans TTS but I couldn't break in that instep, foot bed fits perfect so hopefully this will fix the issue. I'm a 9 in Iron Rangers and 9.5 in almost every other brand.
Also I really like those Veg Tans, I think the Mohawk snuff will age well but that natural look is awesome.

The only thing I don't like about the natty veg tan is that I know I'd manage to spill something nasty like mayo on the toe of the boot and render them nearly unwearable. I'd have to spray them down with some of the hydrophobic spray just to get out of the house, but I'd worry that the hydrophobic spray will ruin the leather color.

Well I have to say super comfortable right out the box and prolly best fitting boots for my initial thoughts. Like others scratches here and there but nothing to bug me. I took pics but its already late so I'll post day time review. Going to wear it this weekend but I like it. I may get something else made in the future in black or something interesting.

Well had a look at them this morning and noticed something really wrong on the boots. The stitch down on one boot is both white threads, the other boot is white and grey? @david Marc is yours like that?

drewcandraw no, mine are white/white. that's a bummer...especially after the lengthy wait. how noticeable it is from a standing position? enough that you'll try to get a re-worked pair, or just to the point you'd keep them if they offered you a partial refund? (pics?)

My boots have something similar, the outer threads are grey on the sides but fade to white as they wrap around the toe. That is, it isn't grey thread, but rather looks like the white thread that picked up a stain during manufacturing. My guess is that it is just a consequence of manufacturing.

Almost looks like it's picking up some color off of the rubber.

Vince got back to me explained how the wax when the thread is dipped and stitches sometimes changes consistency. Recommended I try rubbing alcohol to try to clean it up or I could send it back if need be and reminded me it should even out overtime.

drewcandraw mine definitely don't have that sort of discoloration, though i have a different sole if the source of coloration is at all from the sole. i'd definitely try the rubbing alcohol as vince suggested...give it a try. the aldens i had received months ago (and sent back due to issues) also had discolored stitching, but i know leffot was able to successfully clean the stitching (perhaps using a similar method)

Boots are back, I don't want to say how stressed I was, but they fit much better. Now I know I'm a 9.5 stretched if I re-order. The instep again is crazy tight on these. Looking forward to breaking them in.

goon i noticed my right foot has a tighter instep....did you wear it for a bit before sending it back to get stretched? How much of a hassle is it as I didn't even get a response regarding if I wanted to send my boots back to them. I wore it for about half a day walking and my right foot was just nearly dead.

O... M... G... Edit: These are deusis's from r/GYW. He sent them shell cordovan leather and had these made up. I'm going to contact Tannery Row, and ask if they have any NaturaL/Navy/Mahogany/Tan shell in stock to ship to Truman to make myself a pair of these. Wow they look good.

Problem is now confirmed. You need a 12 step program.
