I just pulled the trigger on the RHxPBJ X011-24oz, sz. 32 Had to choose between sending my IH-666XHS to RFG, or getting these. I chose these, obviously. Spending the money to make my 666 in to 555 would put the total cost of that pair of jeans right around the same price as these... And if I'm gonna look at ultra slubby 24oz PBJ next to 25oz IH for nearly the same price, it's a no brainer which is the better value. That's the IndigoxGrey I was trying to remember in the naked and famous thread!! |

I just closed out some communication with Danny from River & Hide, and the fabric just finished looming earlier this week and was sent directly to the sewing factory.
These will not have a heavy leather patch, it will be the standard PBJ patch, but the pocket bag will be printed with RHxPBJx011 24 oz incorporated in the design.
Also, these will be raw, and he said I should expect 2" of shrink in the inseam

Got my XX-013-18oz yesterday. I have the XX-009's that I got last month and these feel to have a lot more texture to them. These could easily become my go to pair. They are a little more snug in the thighs then I'm use to but I think they will loosen up a little with some wear.

Tried on the XX-013 18oz, and I just couldn't pull the trigger, basically because it looks like PBJ XX-013 are just not the cut for me. Too skin tight on the thighs.
Even if they did fit, I would not be the 18oz though, it really was an overly-aggressive nep that just screamed 'look at me I'm a crazy denim head to me.
Much preferred the standard xx-013 which I really wish was the cut for me.

I've got to say, the more I wear my AI-003, the more I'm convinced, PBJ is my favorite denim, hands-down. I want the 011-24oz, in a bad way. I still refuse to pay the R&H premium. But, the price I'd be willing to pay has definitely gone up. |
