Conviently, much like short sleeve polos for me. I still wear short sleeve polos to work a few days a week. I'd like to get away from them and just wear SS button downs, but polos are kind of the industry norm and I can go un-tucked without any second looks. The Carolina summers are just too hot to wear the mechanics, utility shirts, and other LS styles. I've also got a few company logo'd polo shirts...thankfully they are at least fitted and not that oversized golf shirt style you see on 99% of the people out there. I also wear short sleeve polos a few days a week but pretty much only during the hot months. Like you said they are an industry norm that is never too dressed up or down for most occasions and workplaces and as close a t shirt as I can get. I don't have to wear collared shirts to work but I prefer to, and I'm a sweaty person so like you I have a hard time with long sleeves this time of year. I buy all Foundry brand large tall polos from JC Penney as for me polos are somewhat of a "throw away" shirt that I wear for a few years and as the collars and the shirt overall get beat up I'll get new ones. I don't hang my polos, so that may lead to premature deaths for them. So I guess I am pro short sleeve polo, and not necessarily anti long sleeve polo, but it doesn't really trip my trigger especially since the time of year that I would consider it wearable, I have a shit load of other awesome stuff to wear instead!

As an aside, any of you getting the 193? I know a few of you already have the 170 workshirt so i'm curious if you're gonna double up and get the Western. I'm 100% in for the 193

That's a hard image to think of making a good looking shirt. Just seems like it would always look like a wrinkled pair of curtains from a 50s jazz bar. Just add nicotine stains. bentin that's some unique imagery (and I think pretty valid)! Maybe Gustin should freelance you to do some product descriptions! lol. "Our favorite jacquards are those that manage to use a woven pattern to add texture without being over the top. This American made fabric nails it. It's the type of vintage quality your grandfather may have found in his favorite jazz bar - this fabric can disguise and distract from even the dingiest pit stains, nicotine stains, and most other bodily stains - but don't expect it to get compliments whilst doing so." I opted for this Black/Plum instead: www.weargustin.com/store/5771

I'm also a big pass on the long sleeve polo. It may be good for work for certain folks, but I have one long sleeve polo from Kohl's or something and it's one of the shirts that every time I see it in my closet, I ask myself why I own it, lol. Anyone have an opinion on the jacquard? www.weargustin.com/store/5783I have some Gustin credit to burn up...

It's funny you guys are mentioning phone fades, I was just thinking about this the other day - I also dislike the phone fade...I have been considering changing up my phone carrying situation with my new IH jeans so as to fade them as much as possible in the right places. Any of you guys have something you are doing differently that works for you? I use my phone a lot at work so I have been trying to just leave it on my desk whenever possible or stick it in my breast pocket on an IH shirt speaker side up so I can listen to a few tunes at work, basically anything to keep it out of my front pocket whenever possible. I'm considering one of the leather style cases with a screen cover and am thinking of getting a smaller brief type bag (although I think I want to avoid the murse look) to put it in as I travel to and fro and to help keep me from losing it. That's the only downfall of me not carrying it in my pocket as often - I am way more likely to set it and forget it.

Orange weft dropped today. The weave looks a bit slubby, too. This could be worth having. Though, I've got enough denim. Maybe, I can deliberate it long enough for the campaign to fully fund... My thoughts exactly, lol....

Oh...and that damn IHSH-186 Tiger Stripe CPO has grown on me too so I'm seriously considering putting that one towards the top of the list. Do you prefer the khaki or the green? My eye seems to go toward the green when I compare the two, but I think the khaki might end up being a little more subtle, and wearable.

my wish list (some old and new): 1. ihsh-193 indigo dyed western 2. ihsh-186 khaki tiger camo cpo 3. ihsh-187 khaki cpo (although still unsure about ripstop as a fabric. love the look though) 4. ihsh-192 flamingo ombre western (maybe, depending on how they look) 5. ihsh-129 blue 6. ihsh-129 green 7. 633S-OD 8. ihj-61 whipcord work jacket 9. ihv-22 whipcord vest I reckon that's about $2000 right there That's a nice list gaseousclay , I need to follow suit and organize mine in this manner to help me avoid some impulse..... The 193 sounds interesting...I don't see that in the planned products on IH forum? I too really like the 187 but am not 100% sold on the ripstop. I have a feeling that would change when I got it as IH "doesn't do crap" lol I wish they had kept the original 192 Ghost Pig The 129 is beautiful! I wish they had more blue/light blue non-indigo options, I wish I could get an IHSH-101TG. I was lucky to pick up the IHV-22 preowned and it is a great garment, something that matches with a lot of different colors, warm and cozy, just beautiful. If I didn't need to start putting a beating on my Type IIIs I would totally be down to add another jacket to the list, I love the stardard whipcords and I also love the IHM-15...hopefully they have a winter sale later on in the year like they just had the summer sale, and maybe I can convince myself to drop the load on one of the two. Awesome list man and great taste

The 180-191 red/grey check is nice! I think that's a very wearable color combo, and looks more fresh than the standard red buffalo on the 127, however classic and iconic the 127 may be...the Kanreki is another great casual red I wouldn't mind snagging myself. great taste as always ickes !

SE has something that IHUK doesn't! Otherwise I totally would go IHUK...Winchy is a real great fella! They will check measurements for you if you call a shop. Phone numbers are on Google when you look them up. I have had this done before. Once you get used to IHUK doing it, it's hard to not always have it done. I emailed Kiya and he would check for me. And that's for sure. I would say the customer service at IH is second to none!

Oh hell yeah that jacket looks amazing. I want it bad but haven't coughed up the dough yet considering the upcoming releases. What's ahead of it on your list? And yeah, IH has been wrecking my budget as of late...

Does anyone know if Self Edge will check for the longest/shortest/etc. available in your size of a particular garment before or after purchasing? I understand if they wouldn't want to take the time before I give them my money but once I pay them I would hope they take the time to check for me, similarly to IHUK!
Thinking about pulling the trigger on something but I really need the longest one available.

ickes disheveled the 192 is due in at IHUK next week -- you guys gonna get one? I'm soooo tempted by this but would rather have the 193 first. Might have to see how this looks sewn up too. Otherwise, I'll have to live vicariously through you The 192 is the pink/grey Ombre correct? If so, then no I will not be getting one. Not completely in love with it and there's too many other items coming up this fall/winter that I want to get. Plus I just picked up a black and khaki pair of the 717 Chinos during the sale. I much preferred the original Ghost Piggy, so I'll be holding out too. I picked up some great stuff in the sale, and between that and the updated 76/99 and the rest of the stuff this F/W, I'm not sure how I'll keep up! It's an onslaught!

I'm really digging some of the new lighter weight/short sleeve shirt offerings though...I hope that keeps coming as so far this summer everyone asks me why I'm always wearing long sleeves lol. Just got the last 133 in my size last night - it was too beautiful to let it stay in stock.

Definitely going to nab the 170 western. And same here, the IH onslaught seems to be relentless now that I have opened the gates. I love pretty much everything I have gotten though. I just hope there's enough to go around when they're ready, judging from how fast the work shirt sold out. Either way, plenty of nice pieces coming out this spring. Oh I agree. It's one of those shirts I think you will have to insta buy as soon as you get the notification...and this fall, next spring, whatever. I'm sure it'll all be good! I guess if i happen to miss the 170 there's not too much let down as there's plenty of other great stuff to have.

any of you have experience with Persol? the 2747S has been on my to-buy list for awhile but I never seem to get around to picking up a pair, mainly because I don't know anything about how they fit. From what I can tell, the 2747's come in 54mm and 57mm but I have no clue which would fit my face shape. Guess I could drop by a Sunglass Hut and see if they have a pair for me to try on but time always seems to be against me. I allowed a saleswoman to try selling them to me with no intent to buy whatsoever, but walked away fairly impressed and marked them down on my list to own one day. At this point in my life and with my tendency to misplace sunglasses, I can't bring myself to spring for a pair, but they certainly seemed high quality and looked great. If you're leaning toward buying them and think you might like them, I'm sure Sunglass Hut would be a worthwhile trip. If you feel like you should try talking yourself out of them, then Sunglass Hut could be a very dangerous trip, lol. Or maybe you will have a different experience altogether and feel like they are nothing special. Either way, I thought it fun to try on such an iconic product.
