I was REX I take it you have called cianofarmer with your issues recently? We have no problem with members posting when they have issues/concerns about their denim but we don't need to go overboard. We/you also need to do our due diligence in getting a hold of the shop we ordered from to rectify the situation. I tried that in the past. Staying up late and calling international to only get a bad connection was bothersome. They have stated that they have too many e-mails to answer them so the customers should call. That is not logical for an internet business. Also, when I went down that road in the past their solution was to send more of what I did not want instead of saying, "ok, let me send you what you ordered." And I don't even want the jeans anymore. The only resolution I want now is an answer to why they changed the fit guide from kickstarter...and/or admission that it was a ridiculous idea to do so. Last I heard from Ciano, they didn't even understand what the problem was. It has turned this into a weird struggle on principle alone. Don't worry, this is tiresome for me, too. I will disappear again soon even if I never get an answer. Plus, I am sure it is easier for Ciano to not admit this weird mistake and continue to allow me to make myself look silly. I am aware of such things. But this is the internet. It can be a weird place. So it seems clear enough you had an issue and posted the fit guides as evidence. Nobody wants to really touch your crusade against ciano because we like him and his business. While this is the internet and all, as you say, that doesn't mean it's okay to treat his business as you are. He's a small business owner doing his best which is respectable. Until you get in touch with him on the phone this whole conversation is in bad taste. Also, I just found the hidden rivets!

Honestly I'm not sure. Coat is a slim large After a wash and medium dryer (to shrink sleeves) Pit to pit: 22" Shoulders: 17" (from shoulder seam to shoulder seam straight across)
The shoulders seemed short, except that the sleeve length makes them fit fine. I'm not sure how to compare that to the fit guide tho.
The chinos measure on spec after the same wash and medium dryer. Only the hem seems smaller which I really appreciate

Naturals look pretty nice. Man its frustrating that they won't use the fabrics for their button downs on their shirt sleeve shirts.

Gustin navy cxl boat shoes arrived yesterday. I am 10.5 in dress shoes and these fit great sockless in size 10. Color is even and rich looking. Padding in the footbed is better than my Docksides (how could it not be), and the tongue is also padded. Stamped "Made in Maine". Slightly stiff but the leather is unlined of course and already is fitting to my feet. Very pleased, good domestic made boat shoe for <200$. My eyes! Your avatar! Ahhhh!

Guys. Does anyone have an interest in the Wabi Sabi work shirt? I have a classic large one. I'm willing to trade it for a loomstates in 38 or Zoomstate in 38. Wore it like 3 times. Found that I didn't really like wearing work shirts as much as button downs. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Pretty specific trade

Ciano will work with you until your satisfied. I've bought several things from him, and they all arrived just as expected, with no jack up. Shame on you if you don't let him make it right. The issue was...the kickstarter had one fit guide and after it closed, they opened the website and used a new fit guide. This was not mentioned on their kickstarter anywhere. They did send an e-mail for fit verification and I only checked the waist size because no reasonable company would launch a kickstarter, collect money based on people wanting that fit guide and then change the fit guide. For the replacement jeans, he offered me two fit guides which were the new slim and regular fit guides. I never had the option to get what I actually paid for. And that is how I ended up with jeans that do not fit me...but are very well made. Really, quite on spec with the fit guide I never wanted. "please let me know what fit you would like. I have attached the two specs for you review." Also, the bar tacks were a different colour than what was shown on the kickstarter (I ordered tonal but they used tan tacks in various places...like the bottom of the zipper, it looks weird...the tonal example they showed us bright eyed backers did not have this...I was told I had to request it special...later), I was the an early bird supposed to get one of the first fifty pairs and then he started producing jeans for web orders before the kickstarter jeans, hidden rivets were missing, inseam was an extra inch too long because they convinced me to add an inch for shrinkage...then when they went to make them, they thought it was what i ordered and added an inch for shrinkage. It was unreal. I will also say that all of the errors were corrected with the replacements, but the fit was not what was advertised on kickstarter. I would not have backed it if this was the fit. They also would not start my replacement jeans until they got the bad pair back from me. Shipping takes time overseas. Oddly enough, I gave them my money through kickstarter before they would start...sometimes they should have the same faith in their customers that their customers had in them. Awwww. So I was offered two fit guides I didn't want and shame on me. Shame shame shame on me. Super shame for expecting what I paid for. I really hope you all do that motion with your fingers where you rub the one index finger with the other when you shame me. media.giphy.com/media/G9j9CAnE39cpq/giphy.gifthat one! From atop your high horse, I assume you think I should have just got a refund. I am not waiting months for something, dealing with a reasonable fellow (although he was disappoint that I told others about these glaring errors before consulting him first...even after consulting him, I still never got an explanation for the new fit guide....which they eventually did away with and went to something more like the kickstarter many months later...PLOT TWIST!) and then just getting money back. Spend all that time and aggravation to just be where I started? No way, duuuuuude! Tonight! on unsolved mysteries...why was the fit guide changed? UPDATE! Nobody cares and you should move on with your life! So I thought this board was a place to talk about the highs and lows of the jeans experience, but I see it is not. Some people were grumbling about the long waits for Ciano jeans that should only take 11-14 weeks according to his website even though he is well aware that is not the case. I thought maybe I could join in the fun...but it is still the same old gang. If you discuss your negative experience, the good people of the world call you trolls. Ok, I was trolling with the last one. Maybe some in this one, too? But I still stand behind the facts! I see this still isn't the place for lowly trash like me. Oh man, That was like a year and a half ago. One of these days, I am going to be able to sleep without nightmares of pocket rivets hiding and I need to find them or else the universe will explode. I never find the rivets, but I always wake up just before the universe explodes with a handful of frogs. (get it? Ribbet ribbet! RIVETS!) I was hoping (hopping!) that they had a frog smiley I could put here, but I can't find one. Pretend one is here. I go back under my bridge now. Interesting drama... No offense but you sound insane, like especially in your last paragraph.

Got Zimbabwe workshirt. It's pretty nice. OK so cuff button fell off right away and buttonhole threading started unraveling. Luckily Gustin has influenced me to take up a little sewing and I fixed the issues right away

cassaruby I was thinking of getting them too to try out. I just chatted with them and they told me to go with a size 9.5 which is my brannock. I have one of their early chukkas from late 2012 when they first started out in a size 9 that was actually closer to a 9.7-10 lol. It fits me now since my foot splayed out. I think they will be roomy. I'll prolly get size 10 and still have a little extra room, maybe try to size down to 9.5 if 10 is too roomy... if they make extras, if I pull the trigger.

Any idea where to buy custom suits for a good value? I don't fit the 6" drop so jomers and j crew won't do. I'm more like a 9" drop

Got my Beckett simonon white low top leather sneakers. Sized down to 10 and they fit perfectly. The heel is not stabby either. Came with white product stuff that has foreign words on it, shoehorn, black insole pads, and two bags... To put your shoes in separately or something. Their last email said to condition them once a month with I assume the white foreign worded product stuff. Maybe I'll use the product on my Stan smith's too. Anyways they seem pretty cool Are you a 10.5 in nikes? How is width in toebox The toebox is longer than Stan smith's and roomier than both the smith's and my af1s, which are both 10.5 us

Still waiting for a brown denim work shirt... Downtown brown fabric would be so great as a work shirt. I agree a brown denim would be totally different to the hemp chambray, and I'd happily back both! I wonder if the DTB fabric would drape well enough for a shirt though. Did anyone get the BlackxCoal workshirt? How did that turn out? Edit: Just found this: https://www.reddit.com/r/rawdenim/comments/4izvkt/gustin_16oz_heavy_blackxcoal_workshirt/ This was the first workshirt I ordered from G. I put it out in the Arizona sun for like a week off and on to reduce the sulfur smell which is almost minimal now. Still haven't washed it in 2 months but I don't wear it too often. It's a medium and I wear it as an undershirt because I'm really a large in G. I spent some time rolling up the sleeves really tight to beat up the triple thickness in the cuffs. And it's really eased up. I also crumpled up the front placket, collar, and shoulders and they drape better. Feels pretty decent now. I'll post pics when I soak it (I can't soak the shoulders or they'll shrink too much).
