journal.styleforum.net/styleforums-favorite-brands/KapitalThe Dream: You are a carefree artistic type, a creative director at an independent magazine. You are well-read and your friends are regularly featured in iD magazine. The Reality: On the street, people wonder if you are homeless. You tell your friends you got it all on sale so that they won’t ridicule you for the prices you paid. You secretly wish you lived in Japan and owned an Indigo dye-house.

" But, I do realize that not everyone wants beat-down, faded, worn-in clothes for their wardrobe." Hi, nice to meet you! But I do like your pics. Lol, that's my look for the forum, and it's what I look like most days, but I do have some pristine, well fitted, dapper clothing. I've evolved over the past 3 years, from dressy casual, to Gustin, to IH/workwear... I maintain all of those looks in my wardrobe still. Thats cool. Actually realizing that I did not have the proper clothes for certain situations led me down the clothes madness rabbit hole. Thankfully, I am getting closer to having an array of items but am still fleshing it out. I'm still pretty much between JC**W khakis/button downs/polos/shorts but fall and winter etc. are looking mostly like Gustin Shirts/TStitch shirts/Gustin & Bravestar bottoms. The shoes have blossomed as well, but most of them all have their uses.

These teak waxy mohawks are pretty sweet but probably fall under the same rule as the grey in terms of getting all dirty. To clarify, with this sort of finish I don't really think there is a way to "clean" them up. OP is on GYW.

I've just now realized what I've been Collecting as far as Shirts go. The Classics. Fisher Stripe, Wabash, Buffalo Plaid, Dobby, HBone. are there any that you have taken a shine to or other styles that I should look for? I am a big fan of jacquard.

a classic crewneck sweater, black or grey. I actually thought the Gustin ones looked pretty damn good but I swear nobody on this forum has picked one up. I haven't either but I've considered it several times. I picked up the IHTL-1501 in black last year to fill that void in my closet. Faded indigo Wabash is a thing of beauty! You just have to persevere through the costume-y "new phase"... But, I do realize that not everyone wants beat-down, faded, worn-in clothes for their wardrobe. Thoughts on the wine paisley poplin? Too much wild and crazy or just right? Kinda cool, and probably impossible for them to skew. Last 2 I received were plaids that lined up pretty well across the chest and the plackett.

I think it might be the white that throws me off. It always wanders into picnic blanket/table cloth territory whenever I see white in buffalo check patterns. Dunno...I'll sleep on this one. Maybe give it a shot. I want to like both of them. The red is easy because it's red, but it IS lumberjack. The white is a more rare look and more versatile IMO. I dunno man, the red is nice too. I like that you can wear the white with black and blue jeans, not sure how the red/blue would pair with black.

I know a couple of people on here have it. Personally, it didn't fit me well being stocky and it was shorter than I thought it would be. I tried both a 42-44 but it was too tailored for my build. Quality wise it seemed good for the price. Yep. TS jackets and Epaulet sizing drive me nuts. Cant wear any of it.

Go Tribe! Off to the World Series. Cavs Monsters Tribe? All in the same plaza. And OSU @ #2 for gravy? Hah! Cant wait. And those Browns. Oh, wait... No problem. Doubt they are going to win as long as that crook owns them. The old boys club did their due diligence on making their money off that franchise. My NFL usage is at "not much". I weaned myself off it for the most part and the product is just crap these days.

The Chelsea boots don't look so good to me. Weird stretch thing on the side. I don't areallywant to buy it from Gustin when I can buy Gibsonshoes hand painted and suede Chelsea's for like $200 but only takes 2-4 weeks to make instead of Gustin's 4 months wait. The G boots do not interest me at all because they have no tread on them. I'm wearing a pair of derbys I bought from Epaulet that have the leather bottom and on my walk to lunch I was reminded that I at minimum need to put toe taps on these. And I'm talking about walking on dry, flat, sidewalks. So annoying.

That new CPO is the most hideous thing I've ever seen. It looks like it was made out of my dead grandmother's couch. It's a shame because Pendelton makes some really great fabrics. .....and I'm still not sure I can get past the stupid arm pocket.

Haha, yeah those Yonders kept me away too. But cool deal, thanks for sharing. I had a shirt all lined up in my cart, looked at the available options and saw that I disliked more than half of them for whatever reason, and closed the browser window. No sense buying something cheap if I'm not interested in wearing it.

The sleeve length looks short in the pics. I'm apprehensive about trying stuff like this with the chest measurements on shirts and shoulder measurements on the field jacket. Easy pass THe sleeve length is short. Their leathers have much longer sleeve length..............

I have the Ironside in this jacket. Love it. Looks a lot like the G Antique Americans, but the weft on the G's is a little more brown. Similar fading patterns as the indigo is showing the same pop of blue on the warp. I debated jeans in this fabric as well, but figured it was too close the the Antiques. Thanks. I think I'm gonna pop my Bstar denim cherry on these. I sprung for these. Now I wait.

WEll I popped for this twill because it's green and a good price, and goes with most everythig jeanwise. Now I just hope it comes in right, and for me, that has been a chest thats too tight. This and the same fabric in black/purple came in last week. They both fit on spec. this color, the tan shows up as a sortof darker orange khaki. I've been wearing a couple other of their shirts the past few weeks that are poplin and in looking through my closet, I am reminded that I need more of those. So Lord G, more poplin please.
