I'm not a big fan of leather laces but they work on some boots (I have navy on my RedWing Beckmans). On sneakers on not sure. Yes a bit more grown up. I think because these have only 6 eyelets, the leather laces look lacking/small. Navy may be to contrasting and dark. Indigo to light and bright. A dark olive may work.? I've bought way too many colors of waxed laces the past couple years and I keep using tonal laces. Look the best IMO.

Yes, exactly. I had them extend the length to 34 1/2 CB. Looking at the order I should have had them extend the arms 3/4 or so as I have no idea how much this is going to shrink. Anyways, we will see. I keep looking for it to appear in the mail this week, no shipping notification yet but I know it's done. Considering you're a little longer/taller than me, I suspect the length with your mod would look similar to stock on me. Hope you get it soon and it's awesome; looking forward to pics! Ok, I'll post pics. I'm pretty certain I may fall down the well of ciano jackets if this works out. I'd seriously like to source some sweet blanket lining and have a car coat made custom. Here is a nice Pendelton lining. www.heddels.com/2016/11/pendleton-italy-aztec-wool-lined-fish-tail-jacket/

Manny's craftsmanship may have saved my leg from some serious trauma as I was attacked by my neighbor's lovely dog. For real, not a thread astray on my kurokis. Legsavers That dog must have been pissed he could not get a taste of your leg.

Just a quick post about some outstanding customer service from Mik at Bravestar. I received a pair of Cramerton chinos in June. I liked them. Good cut, great fit, I really liked the flaps on the back pockets. After a few wears, I started to have some weird pulling on the fly. Turns out, the pulling came from the way the pocket bags were sewn into the fly. I sent Mik a couple of pix to see if it was something that could be fixed. He requested I send him the pants back to figure out what was going on. After he received them, he went over them with his pattern maker. Basically he said he couldn't fix it, and that it was just part of the construction, but he offered to send me a brand new pair at no cost at the next restock. He also changed the way the "next generation" of cramerton chinos are made to mitigate the issue that I had. I just got the new pants yesterday and I can see what they did differently on this pair. No pulling so far and I'm optimistic it won't happen again. Mik was super responsive through out the entire (and lengthy) process. I think I'm well stocked on denim for the near future, but when I am ready to buy again, it will be from Bravestar. This is a company I am happy to support and would encourage all forum members to check out what Mik is doing (despite the lackluster website). Yep. His stuff is a real value.

I thought we were "progressing" as a society/species, yet children of yesteryear all carried pen knives to school, while ours cant handle that kind of responsibility. Talk about regressive! City school, metal detector. No biggie though since the guard knows I'm ok. And........I was carrying my smallest one, benchmade mini-grip. Though this is my current favorite, Zero Tolerance/Hinderer collaboration 0560. I don't have a real Hinderer yet, though I did have a friend whos brother is a fireman volunteer for me to buy one. Damnitt!!! and I passed. "The 0560 has an overall length of 8.8″, a 3.75″ blade, and a weight of 5.8 ounces. "

Oh I initially thought that was the new purple ombre, but that one is nice too. I really want that purple ombre, but of course I want to buy it with found money so I can justify it. I'm sure I'll hit on a scratchoff today, I just know it!

This order is sewn up and shipping next week. Puts it at about 12 weeks exactly. I had them put two flap pockets on top and paid extra for a few minor pattern mods. 2X slim by chance? Been thinking of ordering a car coat in 18oz black canvas and might be pushed to do so if yours fits well. Yes, exactly. I had them extend the length to 34 1/2 CB. I'm not going to blow smoke and suggest that denim is a super environmentally friendly thing to wear, but one benefit of raw denim is that it consumes fewer resources. From my understanding the washing process uses a crap ton of water. Ehh Does the process preclude recycling at a sewage plant? Not sure why I'm responding. Must be the supermoon.

I'll likely buy a pair. I'm a Dad who has a pair of jeans that are washed MiC, that I love to wear and the Japanese and boutique versions of washed jeans I have seen have been very expensive.
I think they just hit a home run here in terms of revenue and increasing their market share.

$135 for the honor of wearing chain gang garb or looking like a Civil War Union solider in his PJ's? If you'd like you can pay nearly twice as much for the pbj or iron heart versions. Gotta be IH. PBJ does not do a XXXL. Thanks for the tip!

Fit pic of the neppy work shirt in size XXL. I'd been eye balling their ISC work shirt for a while but I wanted something to contrast better with my IH-634SB's instead of being overly tonal. Another plus is that this one is soft and instantly wearable day one due to the rinse process opposed to the rigidity and stiffness that frequently gets reported about the ISC. For $30 less to boot, I'd say it's a winner. Paging northcoast since we're similar in size. Fit is similar to my Taylor Stitch 46 Mechanic Shirt through the body with longer looser arms. Got mine in today. I think I'm slightly taller than you. The arms are a little shorter on me and it hits a bit higher on the front. The lack of that button on the bottom is kindof weird as if the wind blows right you could see my stomach. Seems to make sense when you sit though as the shirt splits nicely. The good: I love the fabric, nice and soft. Construction seems to be fine. What I dont like: the lack of the extra button on the bottom which makes the shorter front fit odd for me (And I just wore a TS mechanics all day yesterday and these do hit about the same in the front), worried about the just right sleeve fit and shrinkage, when I sit down the shoulders pull up on the arms making them ........oddly shorter. I think I'll be sending it back. Ughh. I think I'm going to have to do a custom to get a jean shirt to fit me.

Had him make one like the Rogue Territory canvas. Not a custom but Made to order. I'm beginning to sense that if I ever want to own a jean shirt I'm going to have to go the custom route.

I don't necessarily like them cuffed, i just like to have them a bit long and flip the bottom up (a cuff, I know), but it provides a bit more utility for me. i can flip the cuff down when wearing with sneakers, and flip it up when wearing boots to prevent stacking. For me, a length that works well with boots is always a little too short for shoes. Thats funny because I'd be more prone to cuff with shoes and turn down with boots if my pants are too long. I've been buying chinos shorter for a few years now so that when I sit down the pants bottoms rise up and when I'm standing, the bottoms of the chinos just touch the tops of the shoes with no folds.

Oh, and let us never forget that there are (were) US based clothing manufacturers that we supported that literally f*cked their employees and customers out of salaries and goods. So there's that. Yeah, I'm kinda in between with all this. I have been buying a ton of MiUSA but I'm not willing to give up on MiC yet. My spending though has been almost 80% MiUSA the past 2 years though, and the quality difference is noticeable. (* I forgot to parse out the EU stuff I have purchased.......)

glad to hear they're nice, i don't think mine are supposed to arrive for a few more days. wearing them today--going to have to hem them, though. thinking about doing a 1" hem like they have right now with either dark blue or maroon thread, one inch too long so i can flip the bottom of the cuff up like i do with my other chinos. I have to run them through the washer once to take some of the newness off of them. I did notice that where the outside seam comes together is kinda like a valley, but I figure wash and wear should fix that. I will have to experiment with how they stack/sit. I prefer my chinos to be un- cuffed, and my jeans cuffed.

I just got in the olive herringbone camp pants. For me, perfect fit. Blown away. Like the cut is on point just like the Cramerton chino's from Bravestar. Buy Mortimer, buy. What I mean to say is, the camp pant fit is exactly what I want, enough front and rear rise, taper, and thigh room. I don't have big thighs but if you do there is a bit of room in these. Measurements, or it never happened Which measurement are you concerned about? They have updated their sizing charts back to real measurments. I wear 36 in these FWIW.

Not sure if I fully understand this (I'll have to go back and read/watch some more info) It would seem that this would make US made products more the norm. for US consumers. If so US made products I'd think would (as has been the case in the past) become more in vogue for foreign buyers. If I'm understanding this correctly ...? Wave goodbye to aligned plaid shirts. So overrated anyways!

From the top: IHSH-85 12oz super black western IHSH-107 black 12oz Ultra Heavy Flannel IHSH-137 10oz spring weight flannel IHSH-129 10oz Indigo check flannel (yes even with the skewed pattern I would still buy it again) This one is my favorite. I do like the 137 but the 129 is just a great blend of colors.
