Dirty_Denim - It's a long move across the country (I've made the trek from PA to NC and across to AZ) - and as you stated, it looks like the risk is worth the reward for you and the Mrs. You and LD are on the verge of something special. Look forward to meeting you when you're in town.

Everyone seems to like the type 2. Maybe I should switch my trucker to the type 2. I say you forget what everyone else likes and stick with what made you excited enough to order in the first place. Yea man, what David said. Buy what YOU like!

I like the trucker because of the pockets. I'm not really a fan of the pleated back of the Type II either.

Ok what I can remember without reaching for my initial feelings to much. Ill keep it short winded to avoid posting some enormous book. I am going in off the stores order of fabrics to keep it easy
-The cone 15.2 oz was the perfect weight and likely a jean I would wear regularly. -Navy checker Pendleton was a nice weight and pretty soft to the touch -Military(militray) drab reminded me of a pair of Polo jeans I have that are similar to a bull denim. I think the dye gives that feeling. Great color as well -The PBM shirting fabrics are seriously rigid which i was surprised at with them. All were definite buys for me. -Wool shirts were a great weight and felt pretty substantial but as Roman stated they are not like a 24 oz denim -Candiani herringbone brown weft was AHMAZING and is going to be a unreal shirt The color of the warp is alot darker that the sites photo (check my IG) - Candiani IxI was very dark on both sides so its gonna make people hapy who want high contrast fades. Its not crackling rigid but still good for fades) -15oz nihon menpu brown was also great & had a good weight to it. Not really a brown weft but more like a dirty beige(i bought these & happy idid) - Kaihara 12.5 oz with the dbl white selvedge id was seriously rigid like the PBM shirts. Great blue color & looks exactly like the photo
i will add to this as I have some more time AND I get the swatches I left with Roman. He packed them by accident and I forgot to look for them when I left for my flight

Nice. I also like all PBM materials, but am a little hesitant to order more before I know the fit. Specially like the h-bone and the strip.
...what is your instagram?

He packed them by accident and I forgot to look for them when I left for my flight Any duck yet? We saw some duck which I think we bought but it wasnt selvedge duck. Super rigid so im not sure what its gonna be used for The way it goes when you choose fabrics is quite the ordeal. U pick ur fabric off of either swatches or if ur lucky there's a roll that just came in. Most of the fabric you want is in some huge warehouse that needs to be picked by the warehouse staff. It usually needs to be taken out by fork lift as there is piles of fabric in front or on top so it can take a few days to get to what we ordered because there can be other orders ahead of ours. Sometimes they say we will get to our fabric in a few days and other times it can take a bit longer. Once its picked we ship it using a carrier and that ads a few days. I am telling you guys this so you can understand some of the time added to one getting fabric on the site and 2 how it can potentially add some time to getting the fabric needed for some orders.

I wouldn't mind the lack of selvedge for another pair of shorts but that sounds a little heavy That explanation's interesting What I don't understand is how warehouses keep finding interesting fabrics to stock Do they have dead stock hunters? Or do mills churn out small runs of interesting stuff at a similar pace to manufacturers purchasing it?

DD, thanks for the explanation. Always great to learn more about how this works.
Btw, I love the fabric for my Chino to be selvedge but Duck is ok on not. Would love to have a heavy weight duck chino or jacket.

DD, I was stoked on the Hickory Stripe (order placed), but in your IG photo, it (if that's it) looks very shiny... not really into shine. Can you reassure me this is a photographic illusion? I dig my G HS, but it's not shiny... in fact has a textured, matte look to it. Thanks for any help here but I'd be bummed if I got a shiny shirt.

Gusjin, they are always on the hurt for unique and rare denims. That being said the quanities are limited. Maybe 40 yards or a few hundred. They do offer denims from mills in large quanities but we prefer the limited hard find denims.

Its not shiny in that it has a silky finish but from the actual dye. When u look at it up close it looks like the indigo is gel like if that makes any sense.

Thanks DD -- will this dampen down a bit like a normal indigo dye? I'm just trying to avoid an Armani shirt type look if you know what I'm saying, like glossy stripes!

I think it looks good a lil shiny. And remember blaklader (and other real work-brands) is usually very shiny clothes because its repellent to a point. Dont know if this on ehere is repellent, but I think the looks is in tune with workgear. Armani have a lot of very light material who easily gets destroyd. Maybe they have changed direction in the last few years, but a 12oz material in any sort would not remind me of Armani the way I think about it

The indigo def will calm down and get less shiny over time. I think they will need a wash as they are rigid for sure. Im gonna ask Roman to do a test on one of them to see how it turns out

I have a stupid question as a denim uncultivated : i don't understand the cone mills post dyed military. Does the military color in inside the pant or outside? I guess it is inside but i want to be sure... is it like indigoXmilitary or stuff we can see like indigoXpurple or indigoXaqua etc... and if anybody can post a picture or something like that as a real pant...
