I have two pairs of Vibergs on order from Club Monaco to test sizing. One in the 2030 last and one in the 2045 last. I will be getting a pair of color #8s and hopefully a pair of natty waxed flesh by the end of the week.

Any comprehensive fit guides out there that you know of? I'd love to own a pair of Vibergs but I find sifting through the lasts and sizing conversions maddening.

All I know is that 2030 is like the Barrie last, it's Viberg's E width last, and everything else is even wider. I'll know better on Thursday, when a pair of Club Monaco Vibergs in the 2030 last come in that I bought to test sizing (there's a couple Club Monaco retail locations in the area to do returns to). The 1035 last is supposed to be a wider last than the 2030, so if the 2030 is a bit narrow at a full size down from brannock, I'll know to go a full size down from brannock with the 1035. Hope this makes some sense.

I've basically spent the last few weeks in r/goodyearwelt picking the brains of Viberg owners.

Hope this makes some sense. Thanks. That is great information. But seriously, from a consumer perspective I'm pretty annoyed with the company that has such a "Premium" product but offers no comprehensive guide to how it fits. Combine that with the price and inability to try them on and it just feels like way too much effort. If everything else is even wider that sucks for me since I'm a C. I'm in a similar boat with Trickers as their fit 5 is an E and fit 6 is a EE. Or maybe thats D and E. Anyways I'm pretty sure that Trickers fit 5 is wider than D but I don't feel like digging it up right now. Anwyways I guess I should get started. Dear Brett Viberg, I hope the day finds you well. I notice you offer a premium product with minimal sizing support at a premium price. I'm glad thats working out for ya, but for those of us that cant try them on this is a bit problematic............. I almost bit on that pair of blue shell that has been floating around but at least the guy was honest enough to explain why they didn't fit him (too wide) and that's why they would not fit me. So I've been watching the price drop on them because he has to resell them and cant return them. Oh and since I'm ranting, I love the "no more fit questions" posts in the Viberg thread at SF. Hey SF mod's, how about a effing Viberg fit thread? Viberg fit FAQ? Blahhh. Excuse me, I gotta go yell at some clouds.

Vibergs just dropped the natty waxed flesh in the 110 last with commando soles on Notre. I copped the 8.5 (sold out) and 9, and will keep the one that fits better. northcoast: I think the 2030 would work for you if you have narrow feet in a full size down. I just received the 2030 in a full size down, and with a medium width, it's a tad too tight, feels something in between the Barrie last and Trubalance last, and think it'd be perfect for someone with a B/C width.

Damn I really want to grab a pair of waxed flesh Boondockers. I guess it's best I don't tempt myself. Put in an order at santalum to give it a shot. About to go in on some green tricker brogue boots. (Packer land so I'll get lots of use!) Still tempting though

Thanks for that data point. I was thinking of buying a pair of 2030's on the Bay from a guy who had a pair of Viberg 11's for sale. And he had 4 other pairs of shoes all in size 11.5. His opinion was I should go up to 11.5 in a 2030 if I was a Brannock 12. and so it goes.......

My special order Nicks brown waxed flesh are supposed to ship on the 15th. Supposedly they got their order from Horween end of December. As to the Viberg question, I originally got turned onto Waxed flesh from the SF MTO VIberg thread. Decided to save over $250 and get a boot I knew fit and go with Nicks as White's does not use or will not order Waxed Flesh yet and Truman had never sewn up a C last yet. The Nicks I ordered uses a last based on the White's semi dress last which I know fit me. So 100% USA owned and MIUSA boots coming soon.......just in time for Spring!

MiddleAge are you saying in your opinion viberg or nicks not worth the cost? I'm interested as I haven't handled either.

I'm interested as I haven't handled either. i have tried on the two pairs of Bergs that Club Monaco has, all black and Boondockers, and neither of those had any wow factor. They seemed really toyish. Expected them to look longer and more prominent in the toe box, but they were rather short in length and height, compared to Aldens.

It is definitely better than OSB but I am not sure it is $600 good. However, it maybe a different story if it is in shell.... I don't know anything about Nicks howerver.

Just received my Natty WF from Notre. The 110 last is perfect at a full size down from brannock with thick socks, slightly loose in the heel and toe box with thin socks. AlbumI'm going to mull this purchase over for the next week. I might be returning these. Something about Vibergs just doesn't do it for me. Might be the clunky toe box. I might just be more of an Alden fanboy than Viberg, because the Alden seems longer and sleeker, while the Vibergs are wider and rounder, and it visually seems shorter, although that's really not the case. It's a fantastic looking boot, but at $720, I think I'd be happier with a pair of Trumans and a pair of Aldens at 1.5x the cost of one pair of Vibergs.

Yeah, I'm starting to feel like I will not own a pair of Vibergs unless I get a great deal on them AND I get to try them out prior. It's a crazy amount of money for their shoes when there are so many other good brands of boots out there. Hell you can get a pair of Trumans for just over $400. The natural Waxed flesh is a nice color though.

Is Viberg the IH of boots?
Silly thought, they would have to increase the price much more.
Carry on.
