It's aggravated me that they put out all those really cool chambray fabrics but only use them in those almost business casual button downs. Such a waste. Why did they drop the workshirts? I haven't seen one posted for backing in ages. I only have the IxI but I live in Florida, I need lightweight workshirts. SMH.

There's little risk for them; if they don't fund they don't go ahead.

Well it would be a good time to bring the workshirt back for funding. It's August get the shirts out October or November.

i do as a chore coat - not as a workshirt though. the material's really nice - would make for a lighter workshirt.

i meant lighter weight vs. a traditional workshirt. color-wise it's pretty true to the photo.

Yep. It's awesome and impossible to photograph. Sort of a coppery brown. I've been waiting for the weather to get cool enough to wear it again.

Probably should get it. But kind of need a reason. "Coppery brown" might just be enough of a interesting description. Would you also consider it "Buttery"?

Would you also consider it "Buttery"? It can be difficult to pair with, but I think it'll go well with the Japan taupe. I wouldn't call it buttery. It's really the most sturdy twill I've had. The other problem I end up having is that having blonde hair and blue eyes (and Northern European features) it can make me a little self conscious rocking a brown shirt (though the nazis would never have put navy buttons on a brown shirt)... That nonsense aside, 75 is a great deal for the shirt, though, since you already know you like the cut. I shared some pictures of it at one time, I'll try to round them up when I'm not on the cell phone. As I said, though, I don't think I ever captured it well.

DigDug - here's a quick pic I just took that might give you a decent idea: and this is the best one I took in the past, doesn't look like I shared it here. The one above definitely looks closer to the color. I've never had so much trouble getting a color represented in a picture as I've had with this shirt.

Yes. It's excellent. I'd highly recommend it if it comes back. Truth be told, I like it better than the Postal HB. Great, great shirt. I have fit issues with G workshirt so I sized up one size to get the right shoulder sizing and had my tailor slim fit it with a couple of "darts" in the back. It looks excellent. Did the same thing to my porstal HB.

I like the chore coat I just wasn't able to get myself to pull the trigger when it was offered. Plus, you say it doesn't have anywhere near the structure of the waxed canvas, and I don't know if I'd like the chore coat I have if it were more floppy.

yeah, it's super floppy. i've got it and the indigo x black one. like the fabrics used for both but they're just overly baggy shirts. but in all honesty...that's my problem with G in a nutshell. some amazing materials but no understanding/knowledge of how to work with them.

I think a lot of it comes down to a matter of taste, though, and I think a lot of us just don't agree with their preferences -- I can't imagine the guys don't get tired of wearing the same style shirt every day, but maybe they don't wear Gustin shirts all the time, I don't know. I still love their solid-color OCBD's, but it has to be something special for me to pick up one of their shirts anymore. I love the hell out of the Cone-Luc Jacquard, for example, despite the button-down collar, which frankly isn't a good choice for the shirt. Post delivery, I wish I had gotten on the other Cone Jacquard they offered (but I didn't because of the damn collar).

The Cone Jacquard #2 is very heavy to wear. I've only worn it twice so far, as it's just been too warm.

I wore it for an evening in a cold movie theater and it worked out great, though. It may be worth mentioning that neither is a workshirt, even though the fabrics would be f'ing PERFECT for one, especially if #2 (you can call it Riker if you want) is thicker than the Captain.
