Took my Postal HB and Italian BrownXBlack to the tailor today for some work. Both shirts are Slim XL and the shoulders are dead nuts perfect for me. The bodies are too long a little bit billowy though. Taking in the chest a little, the lower half a lot and shortening by about an inch and a half. Like both the shirts quite a bit, might love them if this goes well. I'm curious how this will turn out; it seems like the gussets might make this trickier than normal, so I've hesitated bringing mine in to the tailor. Me too, derek. To be honest I wouldn't mind a bit less scoop but if he can hold the ratios the way they are that's fine too. I got a deal on the work as I brought him two G WS's and a mil issue CPO to work on, paid cash and I'm a regular. Still, it's not "cheap" by any stretch. Good tailors never are. I'm really looking forward to the result, especially with the brownXblack as it's really kick ass fabric and you don't see it around much. I wish I could find 5 pocket pants or chinos in that fabric.....

a man gots to put his gustin bottle opener somewhere . . . Man that free bottle opener I got isn't gonna match up when Gustin releases theirs made from reclaimed copper wiring from Panzer tanks! "If you look around, bottle openers of this quality and design are typically $100 to $150. If we had to sell at retail and guess which style you wanted, we would be stuck doing the same. Fortunately we’re not, and that means you get a top quality product for a radical price of $34"

LD defaults to 4. 5. is fine I suppose but I'd prefer "replace puritanical US views on female public toplessness with superior Scandinavian model". You could be a true hero. If you prefer that crap about "ending corruption", go for it. I'd urge you to pursue a real act of selflessness though. So much oppression could be put to rest.

It's finished, did you go for it? I did not, I held off. I still don't know if I can get down with the whole Blue denim WS thing. I know it's not your traditional indigo colored WS but I don't know, still not sure about the canadian tux look. Plus it wasn't cheap and by the time I received it the weather would be warm in Phoenix so it would sit in my closet for seven months or so. I know in that closet with a thousand pairs of jeans, you've GOT to have some in colors other than blue to wear with a blue denim shirt, right? It's only a canadian tux if it's blue on blue

I received the American herringbone today in the mail. The fabric turned out great but after further examination of the usual gustin issues I found the yoke to be the worst of all of my 4 Workshirts. It's over a half inch off on one side. After more examination the stitching on the back yoke is really jagged. It's very uneven and has to go back.
Turns out one of the shoulders measure 3 1/2 inches and the other 3 1/4. The last time I asked about why it was taking so long they said it was their high attention to detail and craftsmanship. Love how they toot their own horn during every email. Anyhow, another dud from gustin.
I can't believe I waited four months for this...

That sucks. It's unfortunate that they are diversifying into trinkets when they can't get the core business items properly sorted.

Ha! Couldn't have said it better. Who gets excited about a rebranded bottle opener?
Just read elsewhere that gustins giving them away to select customers. Smart move gustin. Piss off the people who aren't receiving them.

I went to visit the tailor today and was concern she will be cutting the length too much. To my surprise, the shirt was done. I took two fit pictures with a pair of dress pant but I will still post the photos later tonight. I think it turns out ok.....

Just received the American Herringbone Workshirt today, and it's fantastic! Mine has no issues, yoke is straight, etc. However, turns out I need it in a Classic L. Anyone get one in that size and wish it was a Classic XL? If so, wanna trade? Yours would need to be issue-free as well. My first choice would be to do this swap, but I'm also interested in selling it for what I paid: $115 which includes shipping within the continental US. If interested email me at oatwilly@gmail.com www.weargustin.com/campaigns/1196

I am pretty happy with the final version of m MiddleAge's Wabisabi shirt. My tailor is awesome except for the price. Bailed me out again or this shirt was going to the dark corner in my closet. The size is classic size M and I am 5'10" 159lbs. What I had done to it: 1. Hot soak (2 hours with couple boiling water changes) 2. 30 minutes in the Dryer (with my Gustin Hickory Strike Work shirt) 3. 4 inches off the waist (took it off from the back fabric) 4. 1.5 inches off the front length and 2.0 inches off the back length Cost: $145+$75(tailor) = total $220 . So, is it worth it? Answer is "no" but the nice wabisabi fabric ease the pain somewhat. After I get the fit right, the cheap buttons now is ruining the look of the shirt. I may change them down the road... Fit pictures with my dress pants on. I will try to do better fit pictures with proper attire when i get a chance.

Now if you are happy with the fit, which looks good to me, use the shirts measurements for future button up shirt purchases.
