Everyone's body type is obviously different. The same shirt is obviously not gonna fit the same for everyone. That said, I love my workshirt! I'm 6 foot 1 and 200 lbs and a slim XL fits perfect for me. Im inbetween a tall and regular fit and it's never been easy finding a nice fit because most brands design their clothes around guys in the 5'8"-5'10" range. It seems most of the people complaining about the fit are a bit shorter. Not to be a jerk but I don't feel at all bad for you. You guys actually have it pretty good when it comes to finding a wide range of nice clothes. Even tho gustin threw a curve at those of you who were used to their other shirts, maybe before we go bashing the shirt we should describe more about our size. Just calling it an awful fit isn't really fair to the people still interested in them. That said, the small buttons were a dumb idea. It should have had snaps.

@capt. Murphy, I am 6'1", 185 lbs and the GUSTIN IxI I have in a Large classic was about an 1.5"-1.75" too long before I hot (very very hot) soaked it and machine dried it on high. I'm not sure if you saw my review on mine or not, but my issues were basically the same as @digdugs. I believe we are just giving our honest opinions on the G WS here and I don't feel that anyone is bashing or complaining. DigDug gave about an honest review as anyone can, great review btw Diggy, and the cons that people are posting seem to all be similar (loosely attached buttons, buttons too small, high arm holes, length, etc..) Thanks again for the review DigDug.

Don't get me wrong. I like the shirt. Wearing it right now at work. Fit is great for me (5'11" - 185-190lb). And I knew it would be long when I backed it. So I'm not at all blaming or upset with Gustin. These WS are great for you tall guys! I'm looking forward to the SakeBomber!!! But I will send it out to a good Denim sew shop (RailCar) to be tailored.

DigDug - YOU KNOW WHAT YOU ARE? YOU'RE JUST A DIRTY SON OF A B......
After 100 viewings, I still love that movie.
Good review an I think the new length looks good on you! You're pushing me closer to some surgery on my Wabi Sabi and brownXblack as I want to use those as shirts rather than "overshirts" like the PHB and for that they could loose an inch or two on length. I would go demand your money back from the tailor though, that's a mess my friend and should be redone on his/her dime. I know the stitching on my PHB was dead nuts on throughout so it would p!ss me off in a big way to get something like that back from the tailor on an otherwise cleanly sewn shirt.
Good point on the cuffs just having a one button. Not an issue for me so I didn't even note it but if you want to roll them up, a second button would be nice for sure.
I also think Capt Murphy has a point about taller folks, especially if you have along torso. I'm 6'2" and run about 190lbs and spent a lot of time when I was younger trying on shirts and having them fit in the "no mans land" of being too short to stay tucked in and therefore being too short when untucked so if I raise my arms they're at the top edge of or above my belt. It seems to be true that some manufacturers start with a 5'10"ish average Joe and then scale up or down and that's just not going to work if you're tall and lean. When I started paying attention to clothes in my 20's and found out about "tall" fits, life changed for the better.
I'm off to watch Tuco run through the graves now....

It's ok, it just gives me the ok to beat the snot out of it and not feel like I'm killing a nice shirt. So bring on the grease/paint/oil/rips/battery acid/poly/dust/dirt/sweat..... It'll be my favorite go to shirt by the time I'm done with it

Notes from the Field:
I finally got around to wearing my IxI WS out of the house after staring at it for more than a month..... And, honestly, out of the 2 workshirts I own right now, in all PRACTICALITY it's the best option for WORKING.
Is work my RT Utility WS several times by now, and though it looks sexy on me, it's definitely lacking in practicality. It looks great, but overhead mobility with my arms is limited and also exposes my midsection.
The Gustin WS came through in the clutch for me today though. It looks great with my 5.11 Tactical pants I wore (They are "baggy" so it balances out the look of the shirt being too long). If they weren't so damn expensive, I wouldn't mind working in this exact style of shirt daily. I will mention to LD that thought should be put in to a "Long" option

Finally joined over here and it's good to see the workshirt working out for some. I'll have to get some shots of the Heavy Black that I grabbed from the Stock page and it looks like someone already shared my photos of the IxI early in the thread.
I grabbed the Black in the Small Slim rather than the Med and it fits and wears exceptionally well, it's possibly my favorite Gustin piece thus far.

I think sending it to someone like RailCar would fit the bill, and would have altered your WS perfectly. Its a live and learn kind of thing, and not the end of the world. In realilty, people that see it probably won't notice or care.

The UGLY - The Length! When I have to hike up my skirt, I mean shirt, to bend over or put my hands in my pocket, it's to long! Now its Gustins fault for designing it this way but I Clearly knew it was to long when I backed it. I was hoping I would grow to like it (not literally grow but I didn't. So instead of not wearing it I thought I might as well have my tailor take 1 1/2 inch off the bottom. Now there's plenty of scoop to do this and leave some of the scoop/curve to the gusset on. So after talking, pointing, drawing... Etc with my tailor this is the the UGLY Result Yeah, this doesn't look so good... I suppose to pick my work shirt up from the tailor today for taking in the waist. Will show some pictures when it is back..... hope that little older Asian lady (seriously, she is like 5'1) can pull this off for me....

My tailor did a great job to slim down the whole shirt from sleeves down. She told me that the cutting of the shirt is off balance between the front and back (She also sew wedding dress). She took about 2"-2.5" on each side of the back to slim the shirt down. (Ignore the tail from the side picture. It is ok in real life) The shirt is wearable now and not a total lost. However, it still doesn't look like an $140 shirt..... I will do differently to my upcoming Wabisabi work shirt that is supposed to come in November....

It was a size M regular. I put it in washer/dryer twice to shrink it to get the length and sleeves to work. I then took the shirt to the tailor to take 4-5 inches off the width.

Shame the indigo/red stripe chambray wasn't re-released in a WS.

Shame the indigo/red stripe chambray wasn't re-released in a WS. Agreed...sort of. I wish Gustin would come up with a shirt design that's in between the button-down and the workshirt for fabrics like that. Nothing fancy, just a point collar instead of button-down, two pockets with buttons on the front (but straight up/simple instead of workwear styled, i.e. no need for the pen pocket), toned down scoops (like the Tall fit) with no gussets, and maybe some double stitching where the workshirt has triple. Something along these lines, basically: I think that would look pretty badass in some of their chambrays and flannels and other heavyish fabrics.

I don't know what a $140 shirt is supposed to look like, but that one looks pretty damn good from where I'm sitting. I know it's required a lot of effort and "aftermarket" modding on your part, but IMO you should be pleased with the result. I would be.

Gustin sources some great looking fabrics but, personally, the cut of their shirts is off. Plus, some of the flannels just don't match with the single pocket, button-down collar.

Good point. The tailoring was $20 but she has done a great job. She took the time to try to march the triple stitching and even keep the run-off, even thought I told her not to keep it..... She did find the "run off" kinda funny and silly at the same time especially she can tell it was there intentionally.

The sewing was sloppy at the back yoke and sleeves. The blue in the hickory stripe is bleeding after the washes and the stripes look very messy. I later bought an Iron Heart shirt from Japan and I paid only $30 more. The quality is not in the same league.... I am sure people have both shirts can chimp in if they disagree with me.
