Dirty_Denim; my personal feelings regarding the GUSTIN WS and fit aside, I'm glad you're happy with it and that it worked out for you ...because as davelewis said, in the end that's all that matters. I am really impressed with how mine turned out (fit aside) because anyone wearing an XXL likely needs it for similar reasons like mine unless you are a muscular XXL. Only 3 yrs ago I was fit & then my wife got pregnant & I literally gained every pound she did but I continued to balloon. I never had issues fitting in shirts and now I need a damn XXL to cover up my once 6 pack & now Keg. I cant believe what happened to me LOL. Let me pull up a before and after pic so you guys can laugh

If the length was 1 1/2" shorter (I have it cuffed/tucked at the bottom) this would be much better! Hoping for some shrink with a hot soak and dry.

Curious how much shrinkage you get. The Gustin length really seems to be a only a good fit if you are really tall or like that length. The fabric and fit looks nice though.

Dig dug and dirty d, don't try and shrink them right away. Trust me. Wear them until you can't live with the smell of yourself. It'll be worth it later on. The shirts will stretch and bunch up in a way and become shorter after three 4 days. It'll also add that finger print like look to the shirt.

So here's my PHB. Construction looks solid. The herringbone pattern is well aligned (yoke, placket, cuffs, etc.). Only thing that's a touch off is the collar (ironically, the underside of the collar is perfect). But I'm very happy with it. Measurements are basically spot on (except for the neck which is rather large): Neck: 16.25 Shoulder: 18.5 Sleeve: 35 Chest: 41 Waist 40 Length: 30.5 This is a Slim M. I'm going to do a hot soak, get any shrinkage over and done with.

Does anyone know if this Postal Herringbone fabric is indigo dyed?

I would agree, in that if your shirt is close to what you want, let it wear in for a while, as it will fit differently as it breaks in, like Soap pointed out. I will wear mine for a while, and see where it ends up, before deciding what temperature to do initial wash.

To late, already soaked and in the dryer. Will post up measurements later. But looks like it shrunk an inch or more.

I love this fabric so much I want 2 but in different styles. After seeing this sewed up I think everyone should seriously jump on this fabric

Also received my P.H.Bone today. Construction is actually the best of any G product I have. Yoke left to right elevates by the distance of one stitch (basically not at all). The packet wanders ever so slightly along the vertical herringbone pattern, but not egregious at all. No buttons appear to be particularly loose or in danger of shooting off any time soon. Many of the measurements are spot on, with two being slightly off. The waist and length came in about +.5"
That said, I think I'll be posting it for sale. It's a beautiful shirt, but I ordered a shirt of the same fabric from LD with a slightly different design... and don't think I need two of the same fabric.

Guys with Gustin workshirts. How do you feel about the collars? They look to have that extra large 70's look of the chore coats and truckers. How are they in person?

The collar on my Flat head work shirt is 2 1/2" (measured diagonally along seam) and the Gustin one is 2 3/4".
The first thing I did when got my work shirt from Gustin was to have my tailor trim 1 1/2" off the bottom all the way around. This worked well for the length and it was not so much that I couldn't keep the selvedge (so it is still in tact). The shirt (Large slim IxI) looks good now.
How do you all feel about the under the collar strap?

It is my favourite feature along with the collar, and on third place is the pocket-design. Followed by some things I dont like and ending with a killer of the deal wich is the length.

Once I get my Zimbabwe WS I might be interested in yours depending on size.

I actually like the collar on mine. The stiff fabric makes for a clean look IMO. As for the throat latch I LOVE IT. Its something I wish all my shirts had. RRL does alot of their shirts with it and I have a lot of those

My Wasibasi work shirt on the BST is still for sell. Regular medium. I am going to take $10 off from what I paid for it. $130 and ship directly from Guatin.

How do you all feel about the under the collar strap? Can you put together some pictures of the shortened shirt? I think everyone here with complaints about the length would love to see them. If I remember right the warm wash on my HS pulled the length in about that much, but the IxI is a very different fabric.

Exact same measurements before and after. Like everything about it but the length. I'll consult with my tailor, see if it's possible to take off an inch or two.

Quick post on the Postal. I HOT soaked and Hot Dryer. Little to no shrink in the width, about 3/4" of shrink in the length (still to long but I knew it was long when I backed it). Great denim, more gray then blue (will be interesting how and what color it fades). Buttons need to be bigger/better for a denim. Over all I like it. Post soak pic with a pair of Zim's

Wish me luck guys! Dropped of the Postal at the tailor to have shortened. About an 1 1/2" from the bottom. I'm sacrificing the postal in view of the Wabisabi. Not sure how the tailor will make the curves by the gussets look (no matter what I say/point/draw, you never know

I am dropping my HSWS to the tailor to take in the waist. I am not as concern since she does it for me all the time. For the Wabisabi, I have yet to receive any offering on the shirt and I need to figure out what to do with it after it arrives. Washing/Drying similar to my HSWS is not going to happened because I want to keep that crispness.
