Gentlemen, today I bought a hat.... A ball cap. I had to. I only come home to Georgia anually, and I had to get SOMETHING to take back so I can represent home. I bought it at a grocery store for $14.95, + 7% sales tax..... Oh..I'm such a big softy when it comes to punishments. What we can do is this if we all want. If you fail the challenge, put the date and item next to your name. If you want to restart the challenge, feel free to put a new starting date after the item. I think it's a great thing if you decide to join this challenge, and just because you failed, doesn't mean you shouldn't keep going. That's where I feel I went wrong. After I failed the Dappered.com 90 day challenge, I made up for what I didn't spend during the first month of the challenge. Just keep at it guys and you'll have saved a boatload of money. Money, of which, you can actually spend it on a quality item like a pair of shell boots, or a Saddleback bag, or something from IH/Momo/PBJ, rather than a ton of small purchases for stuff that's nice, but of lesser quality. |

Yeah, I had to get SOMETHING..... Usually when I come home, I get a new Georgia themed tattoo, but not this time. I needed something though; it's tradition. I have to keep home close when I'm not close to home

I'm just assuming the "challenge" runs from 6/1-9/1. I don't envision I'm going to go on a shopping spree on 8/27. I guess the challenge is to see who is the "next" person to fail? I assume @untucked won(?) or lost?  |

I'm not having an amazing difficulty... It's tough though. So many great pieces coming out from so many great brands. Indigofera is calling my name, lol. Luckily, it's just too damn hot to wear anything that I currently own, let alone new stuff

I don't think this challenge will be difficult. I do go through phases of not buying clothes. Plus, I have 4 items in the pipeline from G and Ciano set to arrive over the summer, that may help hold me over. And having a bday just before the hiatus worked out nicely too. I don't think G could drop anything between now and September 1 that a) won't return by popular demand later, or b) is something that I will regret missing. And even with LD's deadstock access, I think they've more than proven that they are worth waiting for them to figure out how to operate a business. I have a 4Runner I can distract myself with in the meantime |

Barring some crazy last second spend, congrats on everyone getting by at least the first week of the no spend. Tomorrow's GSneak offering may or may not be difficult, but as long as we get by that, and the Tuesday drop, and the Thursday drop, and the Saturday drop, and the Taylor Stitch workshop drop, and Massdrop drops, and any crazy JCrew sales, and any other sales and drops, we'll have collectively successfully completed week 2.
