Awesome thread. I've been unsure about the hbones personally but now that I'm seeing Old26's tease with a camera flash - I think we found a new instaback for G - an deep indigo hbone. That just looks like exactly what I'm wanting. Someone tell G on the Styleforum. Done. (But I'm not sure they like me anymore  |

I believe you can get the Postals from CF. Remember reading that somewhere. Those are sold out unfortunately. I was thinking about something a bit darker, but those are nice. Oh, I thought you meant you wanted the ones that Old26 received, which were the Postals. I really hope they bring back www.weargustin.com/store/1496 and www.weargustin.com/store/1497. Can't believe I passed on both. |

I ordered the Moss Herringbones but passed on the Indigos because (1) the price - $140, and (2) the color seemed to be almost royal blue which I didn't think would look good on jeans. I may be wrong about (2) though. It has happened once before . Both of those Herringbone fabrics would be a great workshirt fabric though... |

I'm not sure where I was when these dropped too...well, added them to my notify list. They dropped together on 2/7, moss funded 2/8, indigo 2/9. I asked Gustin for a swatch comparison between the Italian herringbones and the Japanese, but they weren't able to oblige. I'm getting impatient waiting for them, but they're not behind schedule or anything. Any day now... |

I'malso curious about the weft on these two, the moss says it has a bright green weft, indigo says a bright royal. I'm hoping this brings the indigo in a lot like the Japan royal indigo I like so much, but Gustin didn't feel it necessary to share. That usually means it looks the same on both sides, though, especially in herringbones, so it's probably nothing to get excited about.
The Italy midnight shadow is the one I'm really curious about with that crazy neppy charcoal weft. Really strange for an Italian denim to be neppy at all.

The weft on my gray HBone's is completely different them the top. Its a cool Zig/Zag pattern. It's also a very light gray.
These Indigo's with a royal weft should be a very cool different look, without being over the top.
The HBones to me look like a pair of jeans with a very pronounced Slub.

Hey guys, sorry for the shit pics, color wise. The pants look like Horseman's shirt - third from the left. Still have poor eyesight, and honestly, I took some shots and just posted. They are lighter in color than my pics show, and the shirt pic is pretty accurate. Needless to say I'm insta-backing™ these for me next round. I'll see if my son can take some better pics. I think I'd like the greyXblack in a chino cut rather than 5 pocket. Or the brownXblack or the grey. They are all Italian so probably are not fading - so I think I could wear them to work - if they were chinos. |

My one gripe is that the right leg from knee to hem is a half inch larger around. This is the same defect I had with my NIxP's, which I returned for refund. So my two most recent jeans came with defects, and my camel herringbone chinos were cancelled by G for failing QC. Like a lot of you, I'm losing ineterst in this crowd sourcing model. Anyway, I'll have to decide whether to keep these or return them.

I'm happy to find that the heringbone pattern is wider than the Italian fabrics, though it does make them less subtle (though I wouldn't call any of these truly subtle). I think these are going to look amazing beaten to hell. I'm sorta holding out on pictures until the Indigo arrive, but I would say that the swatch picture provided is a lot "brighter" than these look, but I see them looking more like that after a couple washes. If you picked up the wabisabi workshirt, the texture of the herringbone (and width of the pattern) is pretty much identical. |

I do have a photo in my phone, but the color is not even closer to the actual color. I'll try again later today. It's much brighter and distinct than the photos on the page. I'm not sure how to wear them.

Herringbone Madness:  Cuffed next to the inside placket of the Wabisabi workshirt (it seems to me these are coming off of the same loom):  Update shows the Indigo are queued for shipping. |
