bentin Mavs currently just have all past there prime players, they need a complete rebuild and stop chasing a title. Dirk's stepback fader is unblockable man, its like you know its going in and you got shatted on. Absolutely. Powell and Anderson are promising, but probably not worth enough on the trade market yet. And all the old guys outside of Dirk are useless. Matthews should have a good year and Williams would be fine off the bench, but isn't a starting PG. I'm hoping Parsons finds a contract elsewhere, but doubt anyone will take him.

Wow - Durant decides to sign with the Warriors. If they can play as a team, they'll be unstoppable I'm very disappointed by this. OKC very nearly beat GSW last year (ironically they lost because of Durant's choke job), and I thought the Oladipo trade would push them over the edge to be championship level. Curry is a FA next year, so GSW is going to be paying heavy luxury tax to re-sign both Curry and Durant, when Durant opts out after this season.

Lacob doesn't care about the luxury tax as I will be paying for it as a season ticket holder. As long as I can sell tickets for more next year and get another promotion all good. bentin mavs didn't really do anything I expected. Cuban failing again, back to shark tank

The KD move is ridiculous. I mean, good for the Warriors, but to me Durant is really selling out in order to win. He's not earning any respect with this move. Any championship will be meaningless to me as far as Durant with the Warriors and I suspect many NBA fans feel the same.

Don't forget that Curry only has next year under contract, so it's quite possible that it IS KD's team after this year. He was never going to win with that goofball showboat Westbrook anyway.

So which move is the right move? Stay with the team that drafted you and *hope* they put enough pieces around you to compete and win, or take the option to pick your teammates that give you the (presumed) best chance to win? If he opted for the Knicks or Lakers and took a huge payday then we would be grilling him for that too.
Or is the biggest beef that he opted for the "can't beat them, join them" philosophy after critiquing LeBron's "decision" 6 years ago?

That's a pure sell out move to win a title in the absolute easiest way possible. He choked away the WCF to join the team that he choked against, instead of taking one last crack at it with Westbrook to prove he is one of the best players in the league. Now he's playing third fiddle in GSW.

Don't forget that Curry only has next year under contract, so it's quite possible that it IS KD's team after this year. He was never going to win with that goofball showboat Westbrook anyway. the salary cap goes up again so they'll have the money to pay Curry. They'd be stupid to let him go. If they go over the cap, then as drewcandraw states, the fans will gladly pay for the luxury tax in price hikes for tickets.

devastitis - you make a very good point although the heat weren't that bad. I think he just wants to make sure he wins a championship sooner than later. Can't fault him for that. You would think it would be more satisfying to win with a team that's not totally stacked with all-stars but that's not how it seems to go in the NBA.

The Heat were built to be the dream team - as you know the NBA collective bargaining agreement was changed because of the LeBron/Bosh/Wade collaboration in Miami 6 years ago. As much as we love the "each team has a superstar", no one wants to be Barkley, Ewing, Malone or Stockton.

People seem to have gotten over it. They got over it because he went back to Cleveland. Many people still had a problem with him up to that point. For me, any other team would have been OK for Durant to join, but not the Warriors. I'll never be OK with this because it's too easy for him and he failed to accept a true basketball challenge, opting instead to join a team already at championship caliber. It's even worse than Lebron and the Heat IMO because at least the Heat were not already on top the year before Lebron joined.

They make nobodies seem good, but Pau might be too far, even for them. The only upside might be that his presence indicates a possible retirement of the Whiner in Chief (Duncan).

Lol I will not gladly pay for lacob made choices. He is passing all his expenses to me a loyal fan who barely can afford my tickets nowadays. Not a fan of his practice but what I can do he making tons so any businessman knows when he winning.
LeBron did not carry Miami when he first hopped on, D-wade carried his ass the first year.
All this talk about this or that is meaningless as he did what's best for him. End of the day he making money and playing ball. He is a great player in my eyes and hope he fits in. I just don't like the David West pickup since he thirty for a ring and snubbed us last year for more money when though this year all he getting is vets pay.
