I live in Cleveland just putting that out there first. I know what losertalk is, because we have lost so much, and blaming the refs is usually how it begins. GS was supposed to be Greatest Team in History and instead got to join the Patriots as nice season, bad finish. You cannot go up 3 -1, be considered one of the Greatest teams in history with a regular season average margin of victory of 11 points, then intimate the refs lost it for you. The arrogant "MVP" got shut down. Glad I don't have to listen to his wifes mouth anymore or watch his kid in every press conference. At least LeBron had the class to wait till he won it all to drag his kids to a press conference. So yeah, not a NBA fan anyways but thats how it looks from this side. www.sbnation.com/nba/2016/6/18/11961942/nba-finals-golden-state-warriors-cleveland-cavaliers-steph-curry-lebron-jamesTheir mockery of LeBron James backfired about as badly as mockery can backfire. It's not that James wasn't motivated for the first four games of the most important series of the year, but in the last three games, he was ANGRY. And Angry LeBron plays in ways no other player in the world can. James played one of the best Finals in NBA history, leading both teams in points, rebounds, assists, steals, and blocks. Worse, their quest for the NBA's wins record might have overextended the team. Game 7 was 106th of the Warriors' season. The upshot of their chase for 73 is that they've played all 106 like they needed them, while Cleveland was starting Sasha Kaun and friends down the stretch. And Cleveland swept its first two opponents and didn't struggle much against the third, while the Warriors dropped games to the Rockets and Blazers before going seven hard-fought battles with the Thunder.

Even if GS had won it, the Bulls lost three playoff games in '96 and were clearly better anyway. Curry laid a serious egg and LeBron was just a beast the last half of that series.

Because his team did a mental belly flop. I'm just glad the GD Spurs didn't win. Curry was awful. That unnecessary failed behind the back pass to Klay pretty much represented his game 7 performance. Bad and boneheaded at the worst possible times. Bet the Showtime Lakers and Bulls breathed a sigh of relief.

it was terrible series and terrible finals overall...good thing i was not there in person to get crushed and whoever sat in my seat was $2200 crushed :/ Why was it terrible? although the warriors have and will always be my team, I am not biased on what I see happening in the last couple of years. - Terrible because officiating on both sides of the court did not make any sense. While one foul was called on on side, exact same foul was not called on the other. If anything, let them play on which is bullet 2 below. - Playoffs officiating is similar to how i run 5s at the local spots, no touch fouls/baby slaps should be called. Any real hitting, slapping, super obvious foul should be call. - NBA has a no flopping rule that is never enforced which is stupid (both teams)-> points finger at Adam Silver trying to increase entertainment value and money - If Curry did not break anything/or was just at 80%, I truly expected him to do more last night/entire series. I get how he gets bodied a lot of the ball, but be aggressive and take your shots. - Klay just forced everything and he needs to develop his play making skills, one day I will accept him. - Barnes just dissapointed me, he has been my favorite player since he joined the Warriors as I had high hopes for him. But inconsistency is a bitch and that will hurt his trade value for us getting more. - Kyrie just handled everyone with that stepback jumper, it was just crispy smooth and i give him mush respect. Klay needs to be this smooth. - Lebron: still don't like him at all, flops/travels/plays european style bball....dominant at times, baby even more. The ball literally had to stay in his hands if they wanted to win. I don't mind ball hogs at all, Kobe was an interesting player. But Lebron doesn't do it for me at all, just his demeanor kills it for me. Oh well - Tristan Thompson, my god all you do is hold onto people. If anything you annoyed me the entire series. Offensive rebound beast but holding like a mofo. - Entire series the Warriors played to the tempo of Lebron and Kyrie as well as beating themselves (aka warriors from years past) Anyways, I look forward to next year and the changes we will make. Too much f!@kery in the NBA right now, just bring back my love and childhood 90s basketball. Bring back the grit and emotional games that lured me in.

The biggest turning point in the game to me was actually Ezeli contesting Lebron on a f!@king 3 pointer. I have met Ezeli a bunch of times in SF and I always whisper to him work on those hands and don't jump haha. After that it was basically a L.

Well as I said, I'm not a fan of the NBA. But in my mind, they just let them play is a win for the Cavs as it makes it a more physical game. Last night I was imagining Tom Brady watching in his mansion saying to himself, "I know what that feels like and it sucks."

That guy has some of the worst hands in the NBA. Not a good sign for the dubs when Ezeli is getting serious minutes, but I guess that's what happens when Bogut goes out. I can't figure out exactly what went wrong for the Warriors. If they play that series 10 times I think they win 8 or 9 times. I think the Cavs defenders did a tremendous job. If Draymond plays game 5, I think the Warriors win. Curry's game seems to have a little hot and cold to it. Between the outstanding defending and a bit of a cold stretch for Curry, the Cavs were able to pull out a win. If it's any consolation, drewcandraw, the Warriors have to be the prohibitive favorites for 2017, assuming everyone stays healthy.

Harrison Barnes was really awful in the last three games, like really friggin awful. Curry and Klay were no shows in game 7. Irving played lights out all finals, and was unstoppable very much in the same way as Klay was unstoppable against the Thunder. And for the life of me I just don't understand why Kerr is so adverse to calling timeouts when the Cavs went on runs. Popovich, his mentor, would call timeouts any time he felt any semblance of a run. Kerr let them go down 20 before calling a timeout the game before, and refused to call a timeout when the Cavs went on a late run to take the lead back.

nate001 For sure, but I hope Bob Myers will shake things up a bit or get certain people to gain confidence and work on their weaknesses. Regardless, i'll be there in October in my seats. devastitis Kerr not calling timeouts was him trying to let them play through it...ala coach MJ that preached to us to get ourselves out of trouble. It was bad on his part as he usually would call timeouts throughout regular season/other finals games.

The fact that Durant is even a remote possibility is incredible. Getting Curry on a contract at maybe half his true value is huge for you guys.

I'm hoping to let Ezeli, Barnes and Bogut walk as long as we bring in one big guy like Monroe who can score and at least run the pick n roll. We got the cap as well as cap rising each year so Curry will get his payout for what he has done. I have so much to say on the subject lol or the NBA in general. I just end up telling people that what jeffrx said and that I'm happy ESPN reports the warriors instead of lakers more now (took forever for them to show the bay some love).

I'm in the Twin Cities and looking forward to (hopefully) 10 years of Karl-Anthony destroying defenses as he rolls to the basket. That guy is amazing. I was at the Twolves-Warriors game this year that they almost won and he was legit guarding Curry on switches. If the Dubs could get 75% of someone like Towns they might win 75 games next year.
