The pictures don't do the fabric justice--super washed soft feel, cool selvedge line and easy colors. I was surpised l liked this shirt so much, but paired with Khakis it just sings, lol

Yeah? That's exactly what i was thinking. It looks like it would pair well with a pair of dark denim and equally as well with some chinos around the office. Do you have any pictures by chance?

I have their Navy Jacquard dot from last year's campaign and it was made in CA. This year, portugal. I don't have the indigo stripe, but IIFC it was made in CA too in the past. Too bad. I probably would have bought the indigo jack had it been MiUSA.

I don't want to get all bentin here, but I really don't understand what TS is doing. There are many, many options for made in EU clothing for similar quality and price. When selling pretty cool MiUSA clothing at reasonable prices (with good QC and customer service) I think TS had a fairly unique marketplace niche, but now that their stuff isn't MiUSA, that distinction has largely vanished. Oh well.

Oh well. Yeah, I get it. My thing is fit. Limited amount of places I can buy from and TS is one of them. Another is JC**W. Believe me, I had Bentin's voice in my head the last 3 shirts I got shipped from them on Winter Clearance that had "Made in Mauritius" tags on them. Had to google it, Africa, but made better than their MiC shirts, and they are consistently sized. Anyways I like TS and hope the company remains viable. At this point, it's just a waiting game for me where I'll pick off pieces here and there. I did not like that last collection at all.

I don't think their entire shirting has moved to Portugal. The moto shirt that a few of us just received were Made in CA, but there were all kinds of quality control issues with that run it seems like. I was fortunate to have received one that has held together.
Like northcoast said, for me right now fit is the most important thing. I'd rather support a company with MiUSA materials, but TS sizing has fit me very well. Also, i've also got a lot of JC**W shirts, mostly flannels and oxfords that are made in Mauritius and they fit great and have held up pretty well for the price. No complaints here.

Oh well. Based on the ability of anyone to align a pattern west of the Mississippi, I would guess that it's a simple matter of one shop caring about their craft while another doesn't. Would you prefer they follow the path of Gustin and claim there's no problem and do nothing to resolve it?

My last two TS shirts were both glaciers, one solid made in CA, the other plaid, made in Portugal. I hadn't noticed a distinction before, but I wonder if they're opting to see patterns overseas and solids in town.

Blue and grey Glacier? The one they sold as sewn in CA, but shipped made in Portugal? It's a great shirt, but that one really pissed me off. I wouldn't have bought it if they'd represented it as Portuguese.

I just picked up the Glacier in Olive Twill, I'll be curious to see where this one ends up being sewn up. Description says CA, but nothing would surprise me. That's a bummer about the blue/grey version, as I was considering that one next.

Not germane to TS but MiA. NYC trying to ramp up sewing in the city. "There were just 22,626 city residents age 16 and older making apparel, accessories and finished textile products in 2015, a small fraction of the peak of 323,669 workers in 1950, and less than half of the 59,049 workers in 2000, according to an analysis of census data by Queens College." www.nytimes.com/2017/02/07/nyregion/new-york-garment-industry-brooklyn.html?_r=2

What can you guys tell me about the Camp Pants? I've been trying to find something to replace some older ill fitting Carhartt duck pants to wear out to jobsites. anyone successfully soaked and drawn them up some? 36" inseam is just a bit too long for this style of pant, for me, as it's not really a style i'll want to cuff.

I will be able to tell you more later today as my 3rd pair is arriving in Indigo. I have a pair of the natural Camp Pants and the Green Herringbone. Am currently wearing the Herringbone and I think the taper is a little more aggressive in this pair that in the Natural pair so much so that I'm debating between a Warm or HOT soak on the naturals so I am very curious about how the fit is going to go on the Indigo. It seems like the Natural sewed up a little larger. I slightly prefer the fit on the Bravestar Slim Tapered chinos BUT the ass is too big on those. The ass on these is a little less fabric flopping around but by no means tight. I have been debating on having these hemmed but have not made my mind up yet. Since I have a natural 33" inseam I don't have to roll them much, like 2 foldovers end up being about 2" but the aforementioned Brave Stars that come in at 35" I think I do not have to roll.

So is the Camp Pant material similar to the Bravestars? I have those on my shortlist too, but was thinking about going with the camel Camp Pants first since they were heavier duty. But i could change my mind now.

But i could change my mind now. All 4 camp pants they have offered so far have been different fabrics. Go back and read the descriptions. The Bravestars are in Cramerton which is a 5th distinct fabric from the 4 I cited above.

Gotcha, I didn't realize they had the cut in so many fabrics. I was focused on the washed canvas.

I have both camp pants and chore pants (same cut, camp pants have no double knee or patch on the back), and I've experienced almost no shrink in any of them. If you are looking to shorten with hot water, IMO, it ain't gonna happen.
FTR, the canvas is awesome.

I may just call CS and return my natural and indigo and go another route. I wore my green herringbone yesterday, incredible pants. Went home to my new inidigo canvas and they are bigger like the naturals I received, and by bigger I mean less taper. I took both the indigo and the natural and overlayed them on the green herringbone and found at least 1/2" + difference from the thigh to the opening. So either I pay a tailor (which I'll probably want to do anyways because the bigger opening leads to a "floppier" cuff) or I just say screw it and return the two pairs and buy from someone else.

hit up the CS for an issue that I just noticed today with one of my pieces from a while back. Sent pictures as proof and they got back to me with a GC. I guess I'm one of the lucky ones who continually get great service. I know I read on SF that CS is lacking but never for me.
