So I got a replacement buffalo plaid. Came with the left cuff button dangling off. I sewed it back on. Wearing it for 30 minutes today and the top button falls off. I have 8 other TS pieces that are awesome, but this is a disaster of a shirt. I had a left cuff button blowout on my first wear as well. No other issues as noted above in other shirts. Unfortunate all of this bad press. Good shirt. Maybe their are sabotaging their "Proudly made in California" shirts to make some of us clamor ( bentin) for the "Proudly made in Portugal" option. HA. One button popping off is fine, but two in less than half an hour? Especially when this is my second shirt. I haven't even been able to actually wear this badboy yet.

Just be glad they didn't just substitute a Portuguese shirt when you bought a USA one like they did with one of my Glaciers.
I have noticed that quality seems to have dropped in the last few months. With prices increasing, it's hard to think I'll be ordering much more TS stuff.

Quality? Just seems that shirts I've received recently haven't been as qc'ed as previous ones. More loose threads, stitching has had a few more wanders, etc. Fit of my last Jack is much looser than previous ones too and the Glacier cut is just weird. Short front, long tails and the painful cuffs.

Not sure what to do with this shirt. I like the weight and fabric, but these are all seconds quality. I'd pay $50 tops for this.

Kinda sad, my Moto from last year is one of my favorite shirts.
Although, funny TS story, the chainstitch runoff on the right side was on the front part of the shirt. I guess they had the right idea, but wrong execution. Got snipped immediately, just like my kid.

I agree with bentin here - feels like my workshop things aren't as consistent in quality vs my original purchases, could just be me thinking this, but I don't recall having some of the flaws I've had, and things were more consistent, early on with these guys...maybe a scaling problem?

Looking at this shirt closer it has loose threads all over it. The pen slot stitching is loosr and there is a small hole there. One button hole isn't stitched properly. Going back.

These guys served a purpose for me at one time, as I've a half dozen shirts that I wear, and are very good quality. I just don't see anything inspiring anymore, and can say that they've gone by the wayside for me like G has. Plus, it doesn't help them when you see all the blunders that they are putting out now days. I think people were much more pleased with the quality early on.

the issues seem to be more with the workshop items. Does anyone own any of their basics/essentials? I need to replace a couple standard oxfords and have been thinking about going with the TS white and blue.

Unless the fit is spot on for you, I'd highly recommend Ratio for similar money or Proper Cloth if you like small fish.

I have 9 of their pieces and they're all excellent quality. Willing to try more.
Returning this one. They threw me a gift card too.

They gave me a $50 credit. Im tempted to keep the shirt, say screw the refund, and use the credit on thr civic collection I was going to back anyways.
What do you guys think? Keep a shirt eith badly sewn buttins and bad stitching for basically $45?

I have not seen anything from them that I have been excited about much lately but I'm not quite done. I think their latest collection sucks and they are missing the boat by not releasing more jacks in better colors/patterns.

Maybe not a pleasant thing, but if one is popping off, I'd say the likelihood for the rest popping off is increased exponentially since it's likely the machine sewing the buttons was setup wrong. I learned with the Gustin workshirts, if one is loose, just take the time and re-sew all of them, unless you like losing buttons.

At least the hipster bike isn't Portuguese. Do you know anything about the designer or maker? I just don't know who would buy this bike. I mean, I know $1100 is relative peanuts in the bike world, but who would lay out that kind of money for a bike from a clothing website - excuse me, a "lifestyle brand"? EDIT: Nice lookin seat tho.

Stinner is well known in the custom world and makes some good looking stuff. I'd never heard of Heritage though. The geometry seems laughable, I'm 6'2" and riding a 59x58.5 cm frame is pushing it for me. I ride a 58.5 cm top tube, but that's with a fairly short stem and non swept bars. That's gonna be a big ol' bike for a 5'9" person.
There are a lot of bikes I'd rather have for that kind of money. Hell, my Schwinn Madison with a White Industries freewheel and ti railed Brooks Swift is still cheaper than that and has actual brakes.

Heritage is based out of chicago, true hipster spot (coffee and bikes about all they do) good folks there too. People I know with a heritage bike love em, and they stand by them too. And with that said, they are exactly what they are, commuter bikes, and I know nothing on that particular model. Pretty sure they had a cameo on huckberry too.

caught up on the thread and looked at the bicycle. I was just looking at my old davis fixed days in college last night and thought how the fixed/single commuter trend ship sailed a long time ago. So many cheaper bikes to be built/bought at the price. Could even do cx or townies with better components. Not even sure why they didn't go to the local shops in the bay area to build a frame for them. Here is a bonus pic that could have helped the hipster appeal circa 2009 in my glory years
