My 3001's are about due for their second wash. They lost a total of .75 inches (this is what they have settled at after shrink and stretch) throughout the entire leg. Only around two months of wear.
Crazy how much they shrink. I need some repairs already on them and am on the waitlist for Indigo Proof. Will try and post a couple photos at some point.

If you want to try another denim repair service, check out Science and Kindness, run by my buddy Satchel. Based in St. Paul, MN. I've used them many times. There wasn't a wait list or anything, but I might have gotten expedited service since I was a local and just dropped my jeans off at Satchel's place. He does a great job. www.instagram.com/scienceandkindness/

I'd try Indigo Proof but dont wanna wait too long

For those of you who have both IH and Flat head western shirts, especially flannels, how do you compare them? Sizing too. I wear small in IH but I think I may need a size 40 in TFH due to the short length. Flat Head taper a lot more at the waist, less so with the workshirts but their westerns really slim down. If the item number has a "WR" in the title or description, it is a "wide" version. They run small, and the shoulders are normally wide. I suggest sizing up unless you have a small stomach.

Its a shame the Flat Head doesn't make shirts in larger sizes than they do. There are several that I'd probably buy, but the chest measurement just isn't there.

Ok, that's good to know. I looked on rivet and hide and it seems the one wearing a size small went up to a 40/Medium as well. I wonder how thick the flannel is compared to UHFs... I do like how some of the patterns look 3D. It is not as thick and more practical for everyday use.

Yeah, my gut is just too big for a lot of their stuff. They make 44 up to even 48 on some shirts. The shoulders are so wide too (but also comfortable).

It is not as thick and more practical for everyday use. That's reasonable, though I kind of feel that if I'm going to pay a premium for a shirt it should on the same level of toughness as a UHF. I think the houndstooth shirts are supposed to be the thickest ones they make. Really wish they would put out a list of their upcoming seasonal items like IH does. Their definetly thicker than say a mall brand flannel from Macy's would be. My FH flannels are more pliable and softer to wear than my UHF. The patterns look great in person as well. I recommend both brands to be honest.

Their flannel shirts clock in at 14.5 oz. I don't own any of their stuff but the company looks promising.

I'd own a closet full of UES flannels, as I think their colors are more imaginative than my IH, but here again, they are made for the Japanese market and the sizing is too small for moi. Such a shame I say!

Special run of Japanese arcs with no ugly suede and a button fly. Had to get them. The knee measures 10 inches, what's even crazier is it will likely be 9 inches after a wash.

yinzer are they still using 100% cotton thread for the stitching do you know? This pair does, single stitching too. It's a throwback pair so all cotton. Anything with an F (F310, F380) uses poly. I've read they now incorporate some poly in certain areas on their mainline but I am not %100 sure.

Some measurements, and a very bad fit pick. No one is home and i have to get ready for work tomorrow, no regrets lol. They need a hem, aren't missing much from the knee down fit wise. I can't seem to find a good way to photograph my backside (is that a good or bad thing?) Probably still a bit of shrink left yet. Anyways... Pre-Soak, Size 34 Waist - 34 Thigh (At Crotch) - 12.6 Front Rise - 11 ish Back Rise - 15.7 ish Knee (13 inches down) - 10 Hem - 9.5 Inseam - 36 Post Soak (Wash) Waist - 16 Front Rise - 10.5 Back Rise - 14.5 Thigh (At Crotch) - 12.25 Knee (13 inches down) - 9.5 Hem - 8.75 Inseam - 33 They are very comfortable. Tons of hip room, I'm tempted to wear and wash these like normal mall jeans.

Fit looks good. I never seem to get that much shrink in the hem, usually a quarter of an inch or so. I'd like a lot of my jeans more if I could pull another half an inch out of the hem and knee.

Probably a touch more shrink left in them yet. I feel like an old timey rail road worker or greaser with these things double cuffed walking around the house.
