Wanted to give some love to TS regarding my discolored and frayed Olive Chinos. Spoke with Mina and Garrett through the return process and they couldn't be more classy. Really helpful and answered all questions. I'm getting an exchange for the discolored pair and they also threw a $25 gift certificate my way for the situation. That's top notch customer service. And I jumped right in on the Mechanic's shirt. First TS shirt and I'm happy for their response. They will get more from me in the future. They're both super rad. Best CS in the biz, I feel.

Completely agree. Fortunately, I haven't had to deal with many, but my experience here is definitely one I wanted to praise. That is how you keep customers.

Yeah I have had nothing but good experiences with their customer service as well, particularly Mina.

Ok here are some fit pics and overall photos of the TS X GB moto jacket. Size 44. Sleeves slightly long truly a motorcycle sleeve. Length I think is fine Chest and shoulders are good. These photos in wearing a heavy thick flannel under.

First thoughts are that it's too big, and the sleeves way too long, even account for some wrinkling in the sleeves. Looks like a nice steer hide though, and good color. I'd have to say I'd try a size down. And they save some money on the multi-piece back, not that it's bad, just a point.

The other option is to do something like the infamous "HWT" - Hot Water Treatment. It varies based on person/jacket/hide, etc. but the gist is soaking it in hot water and wearing it. Some even dry them - I've done this before. You just have to do it in small increments to make sure it's not getting to small, etc.
Honestly, I'd ping TS and see if you can size down...

Shoulders are good. Seem right where it should be. Chest too fits well. I am worried of I size down it will be too tight everywhere else. Here are more pictures of the sleeve. After some where and the crease and bunch the do rise some. Here are both. Old26 ickes gaseousclay

Closing the loop on my TS customer service experience. One word to describe it: optimal. As I mentioned previously, my olive chinos were discolored and had a fray/ripped fold at the crotch seam (I can't even take credit for a crotch blow out). They exchanged them straight up even being hemmed. Class acts. I was okay with keeping them, but offered to make it right. I got the exchange confirmation and shipped back to them on Wednesday - I already got the replacement! They sent them out to me in advance of receiving my return. Granted, they can track these things, but that's above and beyond.
And with the $25 credit I picked up the Mechanics shirt in 'black', which also arrived today. It's definitely more like a charcoal, which is even better. Looking at the model, I am 5'9 1/2" and 165 and he's wearing a 38, so I opted for a 38. It's like my experience with G in medium - these shirts get a cold soak and probably a dry clean when the time is right. The fabric is awesome, a lot lighter than I thought it would be.
Really may have to pick up the moss...or see what my gf thinks of British baby poop.

matt get the moss dude, seriously. It's a nice color and the only one I've gotten compliments on out of my three Mechanics shirts. FWIW the pics don't do it justice IMO.

brentkuz the jacket definitely looks better after some wear, much better. The shoulders do fit good, I can see it now in these pictures. I think you're right about sizing down, I think it would be too small for you.

I think you're right about sizing down, I think it would be too small for you. I do find they did motorcycle length sleeves with a two piece non motorcycle jacket. That or I have T-rex arms. Which is possible. Only gripe is the pocket liner is cheap poly. Should have been moleskin, flannel, or corduroy.

Yeah I have had nothing but good experiences with their customer service as well, particularly Mina. I just sent back that Cone mess of a workshirt and asked them to pull me the Indigo Cherry Blossom shirt in the notes. I was frieking out because those were going fast (2nd run) and I emailed them separately after my return was approved to make sure that they were going to do the exchange for a different shirt as I requested. I got an email back that all was well and they had already pulled the shirt for me so that made me really happy. At the end of the day I see that the Cone workshirt is sold out in the size I am exchanging and the Chery Blossom is sold out completely. On top of that, I only paid $108 for the Cone and they get another sold out size to sell for $40 more than what I paid for it and I get the shirt I really want. So win/win.

Anyone who has the Moto shirt offer me any thoughts on it?
Contemplating the B/W one for $104 shipped. I forget what the original price on that was? $125?

So I wanted to give my perspective on my first TS shirt - the Mechanic (in black). Looking at the various pics with model "sizing" and looking at the size chart, I opted for 38/s. My thoughts:
Out of the bag it's a perfect fit. Fitting but not too tight. The cuffs are a little snug, but not obnoxiously small. It's the perfect profile on my frame and I love the tail of the shirt dipping a little lower than the front (nice touch for an untucked look).
I paired the black with some broken-twill denim and cordovan boots and I got a bunch of compliments at work. Considering my work wardrobe consists of lots of denim, G button downs and the occasional TS chino, the compliment was a pleasant surprise.
The annoying part - I need TS to restock the 38 in moss.

If you don't mind, can I get chest, shoulder, length measurements for the 38? I'm considering going 40 or 42 with them in the indigo. I have the 40 and 42 loaded in the cart, but if I can avoid having 4 different items (40/42 Indigo Mechanic, 40/42 Long Haul Jacket) in the cart, I think that'll be ideal.

TS length: 26" My TS shirt length: 26 1/8"
TS waist: 39.75" My TS shirt waist: 37.5"
TS sleeve: 33.75" My TS sleeve: 33 7/8"

One item of note: the cuffs are snug. Mine are 4 1/8" (8 1/4")
